What item should I flip in the G.E?
Think of an item(s) that has volatility yet stability in day-to-day changes. Best choice there.

15 June 2010 - Ancient effigies
What makes me mad is they release these after I got 99 slayer :( I'm not gonna be one of those people who complain about easier XP nowadays but missing out on all that RC/Agility XP sucks :P

Farming herbs for herblore
IDK I personally nabbed 2k torstol seeds for 100k, been farming them ever since. Although I will admit, it hurts when a patch dies.

Private servers
They really could if they wanted to, but they won't. They'd rather spend their resources elsewhere.

CLS vs CMaul
I don't have any of them, but I would almost not bother with a long if rapier outclasses it. Above posters make a good point; if whip outclassed a GS on Bandos, then surely the rapier would outclass the maul and long for MHing. As someone stated, the amount of accuracy boosters nowadays really makes DPS matter more than ever. However, if you want nice KOs, I would almost take a look at the maul. PVP is obviously a little different than depending on DPS.

Shops a thing of the past?
Shops should stay because they benefit newer players.

Some stuff
The only place non-bosses worth maging is ice wyrms. Even that's debatable if you depend entirely on non-SOL drops imo. Anyways, don't worry about maging. I have 20m experience from doing who knows what, and I've never maged Rex either. Although, I would recommend that if you really wanna train up mage in an effective and profitable manner. EDIT: oh and if you don't see yourself using void anywhere don't get it. It is and it isn't worth it.

80-85 Agility

Why is it that (seemingly) all higher level players....
This. And damn- beat me to it. If you're paying attention for a while I've definitely made it a habit to pick coins up in between whip hits. Is it worth it? No. But it doesn't cost me time if I'm willing to focus on it every now and then. I don't pick up all coin drops, just when I'm feeling like it.

3 Constructions questions
Thanks for the replies. I think I might do some SC games. To the 2nd poster: Do you mean 60k more? Keep the replies coming.

Least painful way to FM?
I got to 98 FM a few ways: 1. If you like to merch, do it in world 2. 2. Sell Dragon weapons to PVPers on PVP worlds (for a profit obviously) as you firemake.

3 Constructions questions
1. If I delete a room with marble stuff in it (such as a teleport room), can I rebuild it somewhere else without losing the marble stuff? If so, what rooms can I delete where this sort of thing works (as in, I can relocate rooms without losing the content of my room I deleted). I know I read something about this recently but can't find much information about it. 2. How much faster are Mahogany tables than oak doors? Per hour? 3. Are hammers really worth it? I know with smithing I decided not to use them, cause I have loads of GP but my time is dear to me.

Dungeoneering: longbow or shortbow?
For the most part longbow, but actually for many of the lower level rooms and the monolith, I find the shortbow to be better.

How many hours to get 2,7m tokkul?
Technically i feel as if the fury is near it's peak, but really who knows. The fact that the gem itself is worth so much more adds a complex variable to the equation.

Which boss monster out of the listed ones is the best to kill for profit?
As others have said, I wouldn't really bother doing GWD until you're maxed with good gear/stats/herblore/prayer etc. However, if you can muster 88 Summoning and do WGS, I'd recommend doing Tormented Demons, as your stats are good enough for that and it's not terribly crowded. It's more profitable than GWD imo.

Why Dragon Bone prices will keep increasing...
Cash isn't removed from the game when you buy things such as D bones; wealth is simply redistributed to another player.

Inflation..
As I just mentioned in my other post on a different thread, raw materials are consumables in some senses. But once we reach 13m XP, some of them just drop off the radar in terms of demand, meaning once we buy something in this sort of economy, we don't ever need it again. It's hard to apply real life economic terms to this phenomena within a video game, but some raw materials are durable goods- We use them right away, but we have their utility in our level forever. Kwuarm is an example of this; Torstol is not, as people may need to make overloads for PVM even if they are 99 Herblore- they'll still spend the money for it. If this case, if anything, demand for torstol is going to continually go up. Hence, the current price of torstol. But to answer your question, the reason most herbs took a pooper on their pre XP weekend prices is that most people wanting to get high herblore got it- demand tapered off hugely.

Why Dragon Bone prices will keep increasing...
Sorry if I missed it, but, besides demand, more people will supply more (or even gather themselves to use) to the market the more expensive they get. Hell, it's definitely on par with high level income to camp them even at current prices. I.E. If dragon bones were 10k each, I'd be at green dragons in a heart beat. I guess the problem with that, though, is that resources are very limited and the best spots (green dragons) are already full. I suppose if demand continues to rise, supply is going to be bottlenecked by lack of resources. Also, dragon bones are consumables in our sense, but really they're not. Whatever amounts you use, you won't ever need again. In other words, demand will be alleviated once a player is done with it.

Dungeoneering Weapon Average Damage
I've yet to get a primal rapier, but the prom spear definitely wins over the prom rapier. I am thinking about ditching the spear though when i get the chance to get the primal rapier, because I'm pretty certain the primal rapier will get me through dungeons faster, albeit a bit harder boss battles.

Runescapes End?
Although I agree with most of what you're saying, I don't entirely agree with you concerning the updates to keep people playing. It's simply the case that there are now very few possibilities for additional updates that Jagex could add to the 'newbie phase' of the game (Iddeson made sure of that), bar the generalised ones which potentially cover the entire game and will take many months/years to develop. They've just added NPC voiceovers to the Unstable Foundations quest a few days ago, and it's going to logically follow that they add NPC voiceovers to more beginner quests and areas and beyond. Graphical updates are also of a similar vein, but I don't think we are going to see another RSHD for a long time yet. I believe that if Jagex keeps on working on getting rid of the misconception that RS is a game for children (RuneFest is a good breakthrough here), they might find a bigger, more mature audience and Runescape will continue to grow. Wow, two of the best posts I have read in a while. Totally agree with everything. Just want to voice my opinions. I think the constant rehauls for the beginning of the game allude to few things: Although Runescape is a niche game, Jagex still must keep up with all of their competitors' products; they try to by adding voice overs and redoing graphics; making the game feel "epic". Albeit the voice overs and epicness are only a sort of initially tantalizing rhetoric, it really does help open a new market. I seem to know tons of gamers that only went hardcore within the past 5 years and I'd say most likely correlated things such as better graphics and voice overs. It just helps make the initial forthcoming to the came much more accessible. To illustrate, think about the same people playing an RPG nowadays, crammed-full of voice overs might not of been interested in the genre when, let's say, Chrono Trigger or FF3 came around .... Also, Jagex did a wonderful thing by streamlining the playing process; adding a demo version to play instantly was ingenious. Not only are they trying to tap new markets with the aforementioned features, they have realized the cumbersome aspect of signing up for anything DOES push away some potential customers as well. If they like it, they can sign up later. These things, among others, including the obvious easy-access of Runescape, will merit many more lively years to come.

Onyx Street Price?
Even at 22 hours, that's pushin it! Street price may be 50-100m or whatever, what really the true value probably lies within the 20-40m range.

is dragonfire shield still the best shield?
If you're at a net of 100m or less, I'd say shoot for the BSS if you must have a higher tier shield. If you got the money to spare, go for the DFS. The difference between the two really is negligible. If you want strength bonus, sport the rune defender or obsidian shield if you need defense.

Steady cash inflow
Find an item that is high volume, high volatility through-out-the-day. Raw Materials are good. Flip it in 4 hours. Rinse, Repeat. Should net you 200k-800k every four hours for 2 minutes work.

24-Apr-2010 - Jagex Presents... RuneFest 2010
Sounds fun, Jagex should have one in the US as well, I'd definitely go.
