  1. You actually missed the exact thing I pointed out. Someone can take a password of someone else who doesn't own one of these, AND NOT TAKE THE ACCOUNT YET. If they then buy one, and THEN steal the account, then the person who it is owned by won't be able to get it. "F2P can just give them their info". Tell me, please, what is stopped someone from writing that they are "Insert acc name"'s owner, and getting one? There has to be a system or else anyone can do that... :wall:
  2. I'm thinking of a few flaws that could come out, even though i would probably get one. Think about it. They need to MAKE SURE that they are sending these things TO THE PROPER PERSON, and there is NO CHANCE you can somehow get ahold of another's (By pretending to be them that is). Yea, you still need the correct pass with it, but whats stopping someone who already knows a person's pass, to order one, somehow get it, and then basically have 100% control. One thing that I could definitally see happen. I see a problem with F2P as well. Think about it, Jagex has Member's billing info. They can probably get most right (See above) from that. F2P hasn't given jagex any info, being more prone to that. Of course, if those are made not possible, then yea, this thing could be great.
  3. And what if, without buying it, even 10 of those 5k accounts would have been hacked. It just saved 10 accounts, which is alot of time. Main point in that, if you have it, and you otherwise could have gotton hacked (Say, you get some virus accidently). It could save your work on an account you've had anywhere from a week to 5 - 8 years. I don't know, I think it's better than losing that much work....
  4. Yea, the secret organization, hacking imageshack, and working on taking down certain companies, FORGOT TO ESTABLISH A DAMN SITE ABOUT THEMSELVES!@! :ohnoes: Seriously, did you think before you posted that? did you think before posting that? they've just hacked one of the most widely used image hosting sites, replacing its images with their manifesto. probably millions of people have since seen their message, in which they sign their organization's name. obviously they're not concerned with secrecy, but rather with spreading their ideals. (alternatively, read "bile" if you'd like) Ok, so we both poorly worded something, call it even before one of us (probably me  ) messes up again? ;) Nonetheless yea, imageshack was only to spread the word. It wouldn't make sense as a target in what they said.

  6. No content will be squeaky clean, ever. But i'd think item loss and if the whole game is available to be played would be the first things they'd check. It sometimes makes me wonder whether their QA team realy exists or if they are running Runescape in the ground so everyone will flock to Mechscape. :| I wouldn't think the 2nd... as I've said, not everyone has an interest in mechscape, or sci-fi itself. Many perfer the sword fighting type thing, so if they are trying that, terrible marketing strategy. (I'll be out at the store buying WoW before I quit Rs for Ms.) Still though, they need something done about their "Quality" assurance.
  7. Well one of the obvious things I've seen throughout games (And this shows it), is that if someone quits the game, the total units counter still shows theirs. (2 people quit, however it says there are 40 units on the board when there are 20. Probably something else I'm missing though.
  8. Yea. I made 2 death dots (On the special terrein on the sides of my start zone), and sat there. The other 3 teams just piles each other (In that time I used 5 cannons placed hitting a good 10 - 20 enemies at once (Yea, all 3 just piled each other). In the end, one person had 2 things left at half health, and it was simple from there... ;) But yea, like the title shows, i just camped there, it needs some kind of fix. Hell me and runecid were in a game where one person with all lights ganged him (He lost 1 troop to kill all of them), and the 3 of us left sat there till there was like 7 mins left. one guy quit, and me and rune we fighting each other till it ran out of time...
  9. Am I the only one who noticed it read: Goblin squad (level 1) (light) (red) the following while exploring: Cabbage seed ! Jagex missed an action verb :? (It should be:) Goblin squad (level 1) (light) (red) has found the following while exploring: Cabbage seed ! or along that.
  10. Since people here know a good deal about what's going on (Rsw44 mainly), I might as well ask. How are blue partyhats going? I'm close to one and wondering if I'd be able to get one for Green + Cash....
  11. That does make sense. Tell people what they want to hear = Less whining = happier customers. However, technically, niether screenshot contradicts the other. It was said above, he could totally support the drops, pkers getting some nice income for actually giving effort (Not sitting around and killing a friend effortlesly). This doesn't mean he supports 26k'ing, as in the 2nd screeny, the person asks "Anything planned to limit the 26k'ing"
  12. :wall: :wall: Another goal... Getting closer and closer... then.... It's taken out of reach....
  13. I never get why people make that comment, the whole point to magic, and the reason there are 7 spells dedicated to it, it because you are supposed to farcast. The whole point of a mage in combat is to stop the enemy being able to hit them, which is why rangers are supposed to overpower mage in the triangle. Now it all gets complicated when you bring hybriding into the equation, but the main combat triangle isn't broken. Meleers able to wear Dragonhide without any negative bonuses completely breaks the triangle, the act that melee is the only class that does not rely on armour for it's accuracy is what makes it broken, mages can't cast while wearing armour for example and to a lesser extent rangers can't range while wearing melee armour. It's too late to change it now however as it would break far too many PvM things, but Jagex should really have put negative melee bonuses on ranged armour. Eh, if it was changed people could adjust, it would make it more fair afterall.. I say just make every part made for what class its for - and to keep others from using it, just add a -100 bonus to every attack bonus of opposite classes. Well, it'll stop melee'ers from wearing dhide and the other opposites, won't it?
  14. Should they nerf other money makers too, just because you are too lazy to go out and do it? I don't like to do that so it should be nerfed so other people arn't richer than me is a really poor attitude. I just think it is a great bonus to powermining iron in wildy (thats what I did the only time I did it), and btw most people don't get zaros statue every time, 750k for 2 hours of work is what I got and my friend said that is about average. :wall: Actually, 750k for 2 hours, is about nothing- you got crap. I've tried it a few times, and most of the people in the clan I'm in have too. it comes to upwards 1 - 3m+ for those 2 hours, easily. One friend has made at least a couple hundred million since it came out. It is not because people are too lazy to do it, it's because its unfair (People are losing 26k for someone to get over 1m in drops.) Don't argue about it on the Screenshot thread, argue on the thread that asks if you think the 26k'ing should be nerfed.. Unspam: A while ago I was selling stuff off in W2, and traded a guy, when this happened: extra 15gp for me pls?
  15. I didn't read through every single post, however there was asking on the first page if the Dragon Crossbow will even come out. When the original crossbow update came out (Making the iron - rune crossbows), somewhere it talked about fletching them, and it stated something like "Right now, you can only fletch up to Yew Stocks for Rune Crossbows, however (I forget the exact part here, it is either "The Dwarves", or "Members of the Ranging Guild") are working on one made of magic logs. And obviously, the magic log one would take the step up to dragon. Depending what part it was about (Dwarves/Range guild), could depend on how it comes out. If it was the dwarves, then it would probably be with the grandmaster, and the range guild part, well thats a whole different guess. Also i'm not sure if that part is still in the KB, I just remember reading it back then.
  16. That (Awesome looking) Dragon Crossbow, does raise some questions, however that green bow on the far wall is kind of interesting too ;) Still though, maybe a release of it somehow with the bar? (Idk, play beer pong and get a Crossbow? - it is a bar afterall)
  17. Surely this isnt the case :? But my brain isnt working well enought tonight for me to see where the problem is  I guess I'll point out the slight flaw. Everything said is totally correct, however there is a part that can mess with the system. To continually make sure that the item will sell after time, while never messing with the price (Meaning, its mid so theres no over/under to change the price), the item will adjust with the GE. If it drops or raises 5m, then the item will adjust to always be with mid price. Theres the flaw- Say the item Coinshares and hands out 20m x3 = 60m. Now it sits in the ge, lets say it drops to 40m somehow, and sells at that mid. = 60m came in, and 40m removed, meaning 20m still came in from nowhere.
  18. I know you say that most nonmembers didnt know about the agility part, but IMO alot had to. Many non members (Well, not the newer players, but there are a good number of smarter nonmembers), will have known about it. I could be wrong, but I one major giveaway on that, is when they hang around with any member/former member, and had seen the difference it made when they were running around.
  19. Welcome to Runescape. The supplies don't matter AS MUCH when it comes to merchants. As long as there is low supply- Rares getting none in, 3a with it's very high rarity, [insert rare object as I'm too tired to think of more]. Remember, rares may have no more supply coming, but that didn't stop anything. Mask sets peaked around 120 - 130m a few years ago (Example i use most often at least), and because of merching and demand, they're about 1/3 that. All rares were like this a few years ago. Much higher, and now only a fraction of what they were. If you want to say that example sucks, Lets remember the 3a era? Partyhats, which are in extremely low numbers, stuck at a 100% junk price, and not even selling on the ge. Looking at the reverse, 3a, which had an unknown, however small number coming in daily managed to stay unbuyable, and many times their ge price in junk trades. Point of this is, if enough merchants with enough cash try, they can achieve something. Why don't I see a 3a buyout working again? 1- Now that its flooded the market, its in too many player's hands for merchants to get ahold of, and keep all of it. 2- (main reason)- To get 3a back to what it was, it would need a LOT of organization, and many members of merch clans would rather predump and get a bit of cash (Or even leaders dumping while they have their clan buy), so I don't see a complete buyout being an easy task.
  20. Not exactly. On each of them, the parts all have a High defense piece, which 3 have, while each set has one "Inferior" piece. Example being Torags helm, Guthans helm, and Veracs Helm all have the same high defense, while Dharoks helm has a slightly reduced defense. (However veracs has less range/more mage defense by a minimal amount on most parts, IIRC). Each "Inferior" Piece would be Dharok Helm, Guthan Skirt, And Verac Brassard. Torags Armor itself has no "Inferior" piece, where each is the highest for a barrows part, as its based on defense (See below) And since I see alot on what each is best for, note each set is based around a specific melee skill: Veracs: Based on Attack. Set is based on hitting as frequently as possible- hence the special. Dharoks: Based on Strength. Set effect is based on hitting the hardest you possibly can. Torags: Based on Defense. It's armor doesn't have an "Inferior" Piece (explained above) And as a full barrows set, has the highest defense. Guthans: Based on HP. Set effect obviously heals you.
  21. However the rares can gain value over time, and for a merchant, if they keep collecting enough, and all of them do this, they eventually have a higher value, and potentially can have a new unbuyable, meaning even more effective.
  22. While there are quite a few of these new statues/etc, I don't get why people are complaining about the drop rates. Jagex basically took a large chunk of the items off the PVP drop table... Now they're just replacing what you would have gotton. Not bad since these things won't fluctuate in price, so its always a consistant amount you have if you don't sell immedietly (Gogogo collect the most Zaros Statuettes  ) At least the guy who got one at 0 ep got a 50k one.. if it was any more than that then there might be a problem. However I've based this what I've seen so far, if there is in fact a hell of alot more than I'm thinking, correct me please. Unspam: Sat in W2 for over an hour trying to sell this, I just needed some cash. Best offer at all was 100% junk. 9/10 trades were just idiots trying to see it in a trade and running away. Got pissed, threw it in the ge and went to sleep. Home from school, go to the ge:  And theres still people trading for most/all junk.
  23. From what I've been told (and gone by for a while) Mage is based 30% on your defense, 70% on your mage level. Thats the base at least. Then armor is factored in if Im right. (Just like from melee attacks, 100% based defense, then armor defense) Might not be a 100% right answer, but from what I know it sounds right, and I've at least gone by that. Range is based on defense only as far as I know, range level doesn't deal with defense on range attack.
  24. Armor is, like said above, more of a "dodge" thing. It decreases your chance of getting hit. I don't remember where I read it before, but I'll get the source if I can find it. Defense just lowers the chance of getting hit, if a hit occurs though, defense isn't a factor in how high the hit is. (Otherwise 99 defense would be like an own little elysian shield in itself) And basing things off Verac isn't exactly testing or proof to any extent. Verac at barrows, and players in the armor, don't always ignore defense. Your armor defense is still a factor, UNLESS the special activates, in which yes, it does ignore armor. (However the special isn't every hit, and it is random, so its hard to tell anything.)
