  1. Elysian - Has a 70% chance of reducing damage taken by 25%. .7x.25 makes that a 17.5% reduction is damage by the spec alone. 17.5 of all 3 combat styles = 17.5% end number. Divine - 30% of damage taken is removed. Half of this 30% is removed from Prayer instead, while the remaining half is ignored. well, if you got the prayer to use it, 30 off. 30% of all styles = 30%. as damage reduction efect all hits higher then 0, max hit is of no inportence. all efecting hits of 200+ Chaotic Kiteshield: reduces Ranged damage by 20% and Melee damage by 10% Eagle-eye Kiteshield: reduces Magic damage by 20% and Ranged damage by 10% Farseer Kiteshield: reduces Melee damage by 20% and Magic damage by 10% 20% 1 style, 10% 1 style, 0% 1 style. avrige of 10% damage of per a style. now here is the inportent part, 10% of each hit abouve 200, asumeing what your fighting 2 things with a max of say 300 and 500 (thay use all 3 combat styles to the same amount). max of 300 means 1 third of hits gets 10% off = 3.33% damage reduction. max of 500 means 60% of hits gets 10% off = 6% damage reduction. now not careing about the stats of the shields, and asumeing the monsters your fighting uses all 3 combat styles the same amount with same max hit ect in the long run. that means Elysian's - 17.5% and Divine's 30% total pwns chaotc's 3.33% and 6%. now the higher the max hit of the creture: the less usefull Elysian becouse becouse soon you NEED damage reduction insted of haveing a 70% chanse of geting reduction. the more usefull chaotic shilds efect becouse in terms of % of hits weakend, but only if you have the corect styled shield, and if the monster your fighting uses 2 or 3 combat styles then things will start to fall apart. the more usefull Divine becomes as a 100% chanse of blocking + 30% + all 3 combat styles. from a purely mathimatical vew (asumeing my maths is not off), chaotic shields have no hope vs Divine, and in weaker monsters, Elysian. i could go on about the stats of them, but you would find thay may be better but not as "rounded" as spirit shields. and chaotic degrade.

  3. thanks for the guide, well made and helpfull :) but i may just mention 2 things: cant you just tely to ape atoll from the zomby monkeys insted of telying away and telying back? goes to an alter and away from the monkeys, not to be done when useing prayer pots and sumon obvoiusly. secondly, as someone sayd b4 in this thread, use baskit's of banana's, 2 inventory for 10 telys is a good deal.
  4. sumoning, plain and simple, thouse charms are not easy to come by (well i cant kill water fineds efectively yet). although i do sometimers spend them on a bit of prayer or mage if im training them.
  5. yea as the link abouve says, everything is x10, that now means all players and monsters hit about .5% more then befor the update (becouse the rounding removed the last number that now is added). and yes, it will take a while for you to get used to hiting 50 but still only scratching the end of the hp bar :-P
  6. Fletching, yes. Ability to equip skillcapes, yes. Increased crafting capability, it depends on what you look at. Coifs, studded armor and snakeskin should be given and craftable (given that they are all under 40 ranged). Craftable green d'hide is a no for me. Balanced combat triangle, again it depends. Magic now has the arcane blast necklace and the tome of frost, ranged already has the longbow sight, and melee has gravite weaponry. Arcane blast necklace changes the max hit of magic from 160 to 176... when magic is already a tick slower than a scimitar. Scimitars can also hit ~260 with 99 strength, or ~310 with a corrupt d scim. That's hardly balanced. not to mention stafs have +10 accuracy, and the scimy has +45 (yes mage armour helps but tradeing accuracy for defence to efectively gain nuthing? :thumbdown: ) anyway if it has not been sayd, f2p should get attack, defence and maybe a few other of the low level potions no member ever uses anyway.
  7. when someone stops being classed as a noob? allmost allways. when does somewone START being classed as a noob? allways. if your not a low level noob your a high level noob or a pure noob or a def noob... point is at any point you can no longer be classed as a "newb" but then people call you a no life noob. or something else, it just does not end.

There's a few reasons why the level 3s just stay in the main room the whole time. - They die too easily. - Infinite cash trick at 44+ rc. - Making materials and such for the team. haveing a level 3 skiller on a team is fine, as long as thay do something. being only level 3 thay would efect the combat of the monsters only slightly but could make lots of armour ect when your out fighting.
  9. a slayer guild would be nuthing besides another slayer dungeon maybe with some modifyed slayer items, think fishing exsplosive. is any of that needed? to me it just seams that a slayer guild would be pointless. but to be truthfull, it would be best to fix the rest of the other guilds b4 geting new ones.
  10. there are only 3 things to say, get the job done as fast as posible. stay near the pool and get healed by the he4alers, OR run under the queen, i think you should be safe but it will be very hard not to die when se trys to attack you.
  11. it was a though vote for me but i went with sumoning (herb and ajility running close behind), truth is most of them should get a guild and i cant really vote for one <_< also really woodcuting and firemakeing should be one guild. as for a slayer guild, well isent that the point of slayer dungeons? anyway, sumoning becouse other methods of geting charms besides combat would probably be involved (a form of activity where you can spend the points of charms?) not faster just well difrent, and hopefully it would have a bank closeish by an obby. hopefully will have the option to get some of the untradeable seconds from there two. makeing it sound as though i want it too easy :shame: edit: darn no one has posted when i started riteing this.
  12. what ft2p should get... hmm... first of all, and most of all, a combat triangle. insted of the "line" thay have now. skill capes (maybe) yew bow (and longbow sight-able, or would that be overpowered?) crossbows n bolts up to rune or addamant improved mage (just everything overall :mellow: ) attack, defence, and a few other low level potions (comeon people, what member uses them? and wouldent f2p buy them up like crazy = high price = profitable hebilore at least for a few levels) a boss monster or 2, kbd or gient mole are good options as i see it. although thay got that in the forum of the new skill.
  13. we know that it efects ruby tiped addy bolts as insted of 4000 lp thay only hit 1000.
  14. just going to aimlessly shove some stats here. f2p not d'nearing full rune tankers (fighter boots bezerker shild ect), one with scimy and other with longsword. scim has 51 slash attack or -182 slash attack vs others armour, 51 str, 231 slash defense. long has 53 slash attack or -178 slash attack vs others armour, 53 str, 233 slash defense. so the long beats scimy by: 2 attack, 2 str, 2 defence. now the scimy has a speed of 6/10 and the long 5/10 it looks as though the scimy would be better as +2 in attack, str and defence would be beaten be +1 in speed, but i wouldent say by a lot. in looks the scimy would be low down on the list, but in combat i would put it higher then the long sword in melee v melee at least.
  15. wouldent it be fun to use prayers? *prays pieity (and a strength pot), gets strength boost, lifts huge weight* *uses prayer cape emote* *prays protect form range, gets someone to shoot me and does nuthing* just think of peoples faces after that one...
  16. as i see it besides knowing how on gleniour i am to pronounce ardougen, and adding a bit of depth, it will do nuthing but still take an overly long and hard efort just to do this even to a small exstent. as thay sayd, thay cant use your name but man how many times have i ran in to npc's saying my name? at least 3 today alone :mellow: i wouldent mind it, but something betwen a sound efect and a voise (makeable without haveing to get voise actors) would probably be easyer to do.
  17. nice guide, got a few things to say though. to the spot you recomended i prefer one direcly south of the bowl, it has 2 close by on a wall and a goblin as an extra. its a good idea to take an exsplorers ring, the 30 free low alcs are perfect for adamant ores and mithrill+ mace drops. there is no need for ANY telyporting besides geting to the place, the room has a portal that goes near to a bank. i would also put a difrent picture (curent one being "high grade") as all that stuff really adds only about 50kgp/h at most. as for a specing weapon, anything besides an enchanted exscailber or sgs is a waste of time, and if you can aford/have the levels to get thouse then i dont think any healing would be needed (unless you feal like killing one of the level 200 monsters) overall though good guide
  18. deadly red spiders in brinhaven are good gold dropers last time i checked, thay require no food and you can pick up the red eggs for a bit of cash. i dont know but aprently roaches are good charm dropers. if you want any more info go to "help and advise" forum or "arcive of wisdom" forum and look for kents sumoning mastery guide.
  19. member speeking. f2p, in my eyes, dont "not deserve" skill capes, that is not to say that thay deserve them ether. although i am leaning to the do deserve side. truth is no one "deserves" them, its just that becouse 1 8th of the players have the ability to have them, i see no reson for the other 7 8th to have what really is nuthing besides a spiffy looking cape and a spiffy looking emote (well to f2p it would have much better stats then any cape thay have now, but thats nuthing much and besides the point). we have to remember, f2p make up around 7 million of the 8 million players, thay are every part of the comunity as the members (and them some!), not to mention jagex is proud to uphold there world record as being the most popular f2p mmorpg, f2p may of been a demo, but now f2p is as much a demo as p2p. now geting a skill to 99 from a pure f2p standpoint is much slower, but really this means nuthing besides a reson for people to acuse the suposed pure f2p to have spent some time as a member nullifying that reguard, and probably thay will ofen be right. f2p is that, FREE to play. ...and? i dont see any reson as to think that means anything more then 5 or so $'s a month, you pay for the right to get skills faster, get more(note, more as in not all) content, and overall have more things to do. your NOT buying the right to deside what f2p deserve, and yes maybe jagex could give you that but it would never be anything bigger then a poll or a thread on peoples opinions. now im probably not going to change a single mind on this topic but meh, that is what i think. f2p deserve it as much as any member, but neather side truely "deserves" it at all.
  20. this. runescape is a very robust game, even with the anti bot mesures (2007?) the player base overall had little long tearm damage. so unless the internet get deleted, a new jagex game comes out the is far more epic then rs, or jagex TRYS to kill of rs ( :blink: ) i dont see it haponing for a long time.
  21. as a minour side efect of skills becomeing 120 max, "true skill mastery" would give better skill capes, would the new skill capes just be trimed or be a total upgrade posibly with 12 in each defence stat. could posible start to get too strong, same with the skills them self, curently players are allmost begging jagex to fill the 80-99 gap, but the new weapons cant be over powered. how overpowered would the weapons be that fill the 99-120 gap? becouse twice the attack level to use a whip is 140, 120 would (more or less) could lead to a weapon as fast as a whip but nearly twice as strong, yes my logic there fails but you get the idea, unless a boss monster that has a combat level of about 1337 came along then maxed players would be undefeatable. although if done curectly i can easly see this working for the good in the long run, but if not...
  22. sortoff off topic but say if all skills got made to 120 max level, what would the new max combat level be? tip.it combat calc does not take numbers abouve 99 so idk.
  23. that was the xp nerf? 50% off just like that... :thumbdown: i thought it was just something like the max xp anyone/a member can get is kept at about 90% of what you would on a member world. beats that idea by far. as a f2p worlding member (and no, i dident know that f2p was faster xp until jagex posted this update) i find that this is rather bad quick fix, the difrence between level 89 and 90? an attack level and a few strength levels?.. and a 50% drop in xp gain. i just hope this quick fix gets removed and replaced like infineite shop stock (but a lot faster...) the least that could of done is just cap all f2p.

  25. Why would you do protect from melee? It sure as hell isn't going to help haha So no one rushes you with claws after you're low health. This. I want a Dark bow. Shooting 2 arrows off my bow would be kinda cool .. Dragonfire shield would be cool.. If bearded dragons can charge it for me.. Rewpawning would be great too. XD i dident think about respwaning on death, thats a good one! haveing luner mage would be fun, i could drink some poison and just cast cure me and freak people out :thumbsup: would also be fun to tely others and freak them out even more.
