Finally got my PS3 slim a couple weeks ago because my original fat PS3's blu ray drive broke. :wall: Totally worth it thought, especially with the $100 price drop. Lots of good games coming out this holiday season, MW2 and Assassin's Creed 2 to name a couple. My PSN is: big_stingman It's in my sig too if anyone sees me elsewhere in forums. Games I own: COD4 Modern Warfare, COD5 World at War, Assassin's Creed, Motorstorm (who doesn't lol?), Little Big Planet, Orange Box, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Lego Star Wars, NBA Live 08, Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe, and GH III off the top of my head.

Well there is a new skill coming out next year, and it's F2P (well part of it I assume). Jagex is keeping everything about it under wraps though, so we are all in the dark. They did say it was not sailing though... Some other random updates I remember are a new minigame called Mobilising Armies, a nice new in game map, and nicknames for members. Good luck!

Yeah this update was definetely needed. Those potions were actually useful in those areas, bad bad bad! And another nerf...not that I really care, I'm F2P and don't play much anyway lol.

Alright thanks for the replies everyone! Looks like I will just kill some cockroaches, play some minigames, chat and meet new people, and maybe a skill or two when I get bored with those. There isn't a ton of content like P2P, but I think the key is to just cycle through the content that I do have. It's not like I will be playing Runescape a ton anyway, that's the whole reason I went to F2P, as I just don't play much any more. I was just looking for a few things to do when I get in the mood. I am currently free to play and am looking for stuff to do. I am looking for nongriding activities that are fun. Things I know of: - Combat (Suggestions of what to fight for fun are welcome though. Ex: Cockroaches, Demons, etc.). - Skills obviously (Suggestions of nongrinding skills are welcome and how to train them). - Fist of Guthix, The Great Orb Project, and Clan Wars/Dual Arena. - Quests (Have completed all F2P ones). So am I missing anything that I can do in F2P that isn't grinding? Appreciate all help!

Yup I been using Xfire for this ever since I started, but I don't use Firefox as my "Runescape[Caution: Executable File]" (Which is all Xfire seems to see...) I use SK, and talked to the creator of it. He made it so I could change the SK exe to Runescape[Caution: Executable File] and so now the world is in balance again. Yay. Yeah I think the knife throwing is cool. The only thing is, logically, you have to hit them in the head or maybe direct part of the chest to one-hit-kill them. When you think about it, hitting someone in the leg with a knife shouldn't kill them instantly lol. Knives ftw!

Natural variations, September to April have a relatively coherent number of player variations, May through August has a [bleep]e due to summer breaks on the northern hemisphere. In the example posted the summer [bleep]e is put at the end of the graph, which naturally tilts the trend curve upwards. Take a snapshot from May to April and it will tilt the result downwards. What I meant in the first post was that placing the graph from January to December would put it (the summer [bleep]e) in the middle and have less effect on the trend outcome. To get a more reliable result you would have to compare two years however (my second post) since the data from within a single year varies too much (particularly the summer [bleep]e) to make any solid conclusions from it. You could also compare it month by month (ie jan 2008 to Jan 2009) or even week by week (w1 2008 to w1 2009, though weeks would probably be less reliable). The graph only shows that more players are playing the game due to summer breaks, but it does not show you the overall trend or whether less/more players are playing due to updates. Compare it to weather, sure you can see that the weather is getting warmer as winter ends. Its going to suck, but I'm going to get it. Why do people say things like this? "WII IS INFERIOR CONSOLE MW GOIN 2 SUK LULZ1111" When did gaming get so serious? It's still a fun game to play regardless of whether or not the graphics are up to snuff with the $400 consoles or however much they cost nowadays. The Playstation 3 Slim is now only $300. Microsoft dropped the price on Xbox to $300 shortly after Sony. That's only $50 more dollars then a Wii, which has $60 controllers (Nunchuck+Controller). In the end it doesn't matter what system you get if you are talking about price. They all need expensive controllers, expensive games, etc. If you play video games, either be prepared to dish out the cash or pirate games.

Yeah so I did a quick overview as I don't have time to read through it all right now. Can anyone give me the major updates to F2P coming? From what I read there was some pretty epic member content! Anything for us nonpaying losers though? :lol:

Also, it will probably be one of the top games for Christmas lists...and I don't see how Wii Play counts as it was bundled with all Wii's lol, but whatever. I meant stand-alone games, not bundled. Although it does look like Wii Play sold 23 million copies without being bundled, who would buy that? Didn't it already come with all Wii's? Ah, and I kind of got the author's mixed up a little. It was actually a Gamespot interview with GameSTOP, Gamestop being the ones predicting it being the best selling game. Guild Wars 2 is going to be so awesome. I played the original Guild Wars and loved it. Going to be so epic, and now that I have semi retired for Runescape, I have been looking for a good MMO to play. GW 2 is starting to look pretty good, but a little far away lol. :)
