This isn't directed at anyone in particular, but you'd have to have a really under-developed sense of humor/brain power to actually find most of /b/ posts funny. Maybe 1-2% of the posts/images are original or generate a good discussion with genuinely funny images, the rest are just exactly those 'lamer' posts like "LURK MOAR" or "EPIC FAIL", "TITSORGTFO". How anyone besides kids who just turned 12 would find them even remotely funny is beyond me. Memes and stupid stuff like that kill the site. That's not what it was originally meant for. But thanks to idiots, who couldn't understand sophisticated humor, it's already damaged beyond repair. Hint: Read Zonorhc's posts on tip.it. That's exactly the kind of dark humor 4chan and /b/ imageboards were all about. It's sad so many people could never comprehend it and turned that place into a cesspool of thousands of morons posting 'memes'. It's just the same as if you went to a baseball forum and started spamming about basketball. You're missing the point. Lamers already ruined the site.

Germany match was funny as hell, the Austrian coach started arguing and fighting with the German coach outside of the field and the referee cut off the game for about 2 mins & sent them both off the match :lol:

What are you doing on the internet? You clearly are in the wrong place. Pretty much disagree, Pflaumen is right in saying that a big portion of 4chan is a sick pile of trash junkyard... I'd NEVER let my kid/kids browse it, especially at under 15 years old. Why would even major ISP's in the UK and USA automatically filter out any traffic going to that site? Think malo, if you had kids. Would you let them visit 4chan? Yes, it does have some quality sports, weapons discussion etc.. I admit in the past I took part in those, there were very high quality American MLB baseball threads, etc... It's just sad that new people who didn't understand the dark humor of 4chan boards like /b/, actually thought it's a place where figurative 'r­etards' gather and post a lot of lolcats, pictures of their classmates, topless pics, & spam "DESUDESUDESUDESU", thinking it's witty or funny. They entirely missed the point and have already ruined a major part of the image boards.

I know, it's kind of... Weird. A lot of western cultures, at least in the modern age after 1990, have some dumb obsession with sex and associating every impulse with it. My other half of the family is from southern Europe and it's perfectly normal to kiss a person on the cheek when you come to their house for a visit, especially if they are your cousins. It's paying respect and friendship/family bond, there is NO other aspect to it. And I'd say that's much more natural. Geez, sometimems I just think many (mainly white) cultures have been badly corrupted by sex and trying to make everything in life about it, at least the younger generations.

For a tabletop computer, CPU heat of 50+c is VERY high and could possibly damage it over time. If it starts running at 55/60c+ while playing games, you will occassionally get BSoD because the system protects itself from selfdestruction (by running at abnormal heat levels). I saw this happen to my friend & he has a similar 'configuration' (open case with a huge fan blowing air to cool it) The fan speed is a bug, Speedfan can't read the speed meters from all motherboards so it displays 0. If a temperature can't be read it'll show -37 or 0 too. Point of comparison: My tabletop computer, 3.2ghz, runs at 18-25 celsius degrees idle, 30-45 if a game is being played, depending on how intensive it's resource use is.

Lol, no offense but it seems your friend doesn't know much about football... Giving you free 30 : 0 odds against a world champion doesn't seem too bright.. Maybe he just wanted to give you free money. Edit: Got some good compensation yesterday, made a 5x combo involving MLB baseball and Euro2008 soccer, hit the total jackpot with @27.4x odds multiplier, 10.50$ bet... Won a nice $280+ with it.

People will download MP3's and hurt artists with no remorse, but would pay $hundreds of dollars for an operating system made by a company that has hundreds of billions of dollars in capital, even though both are just as easy to D/L. Always baffles me. But yes, XP is overall better than Vista if you compare the features.. I still have Vista on my tabletop computer, it's not that great at all. I especially hate how just running the OS takes your graphics card power and plenty, plenty of RAM.

The final open question remains: Is Holland capable of beating Portugal/Spain? I'm not sure, especially on Portugal, but we'll see. Italy will have to work hard if they want to continue playing though. I wouldn't say they're bad at all (because they're not, and their goalkeeper has been chosen 4 times the world's best), they just have problems with getting the ball to the goal zone (unlike Netherlands who do it very fast). Italians do have world class players even from Italy's Serie A, but maybe they need to work on playing as a team, not as individual star players. :(

Rofl, I only made a single bet on the ITaly game for 1 dollar= No penalties (combo with no penalties in Holland-France gives 9x odds multiplier) and lost that too. Jesus christ, please Euro2008, don't make me believe in paranormal curses :lol: Needless to say, my friend got $850 on Italy/Draw result, got the draw, he's raving about how great Buffon is for saving a penalty. Heh, I truly feel sorry for those bettors that put "away team miss penalty" at 1.01 odds with like $1000 bucks... They got screwed badly... And what can I say, Buffon is king. That save also probably saved hundreds of millions of $$ in betting for a lot of people.

I can't play any games worth jack on my laptop, the lag is too horrible because of the weak graphics card. Don't know anyone else with a laptop who can game properly, either. I do know 1 person who owns an AlienWare laptop, but those are specifically created for mobile gaming anyways..

Bought a Packard Bell laptop 1.5 years ago.. Still as good as new, has 2.2ghz DualCore intel, 2GB of ram, 250GB hard-drive (and 500GB external), plus a 128MB inbuilt ATI card. Cost $1300 Wouldn't agree they get obsolete fast, don't torture it & it could last for a long, long time. P.S: Installed XP and Linux on the laptop after about 5 hours of using Vista. Nothing warrants the huge RAM consumption exchanged for minimal extra functions... XP does just fine.

That game is EXTREMELY hard to bet on, I'll try to have willpower not to bet again.. At least with a bigger sum than a few bucks :lol: Neither team is really superior.. It could be draw too... Hence even bookies are confused and offer pretty much similar odds for all three options including draw. If you're into it for fun, bet on your favourite. But for making money, I'd either make a combo on both Italy & Holland games with a small bet and get a huge odds multiplier, or stay away from that match. It's impossible to know what will happen (Italy on the other hand is a pretty big favourite).
