Bush Tells Israeli's Should get out of Arab Land
BlueLancer replied to Hydraides's topic in Off-Topic
There's a lot of cases when people could sympathize with the enemy or invader, such as the kurds openly sympathizing with coalition forces destroying all Iraqi military command centers and cutting off roads, executing Saddam... I don't fail to see why some palestinians sympathize with Hamas swearing to revenge civilian casualties when this is what IDF aistrikes cause to the general population on a nearly daily basis (Article is from Haaretz so you can't say it's biased either) It's not like all Israelis are fine with the idea of occupying foreign people and not care about casualties that results, there's plenty of Israeli bloggers who strongly disagree with how Israel should be treated in the media as a "victim" in a case where it's the aggressor, in fear of being labeled anti-semitic. Yep, no matter how rational I try to stay, the 'fish' in poker that call a queen all the way up to river while raising the pot and get lucky straights, 3-of-a-kinds after they hit totally nothing on the flop... Just drives me over the edge. I can now control it, but even just 3 years ago I had pretty bad anger issues over idiots whose gameplay had no coherence whatsoever; It's as if they wanted to play a losing strategy intentionally :P To think... I couldn't give two damns if some drunks started arguing with me in a bar or calling me names/trying to fight with me, and shrug it off within a minute... But there's just something about people who win in poker with pure dumb luck and say "it's just skill" Need to cool down for a few hours after constantly falling victim to these 'fish' and keep losing AA against 3-9 offsuit...

Seemed like an interesting question, looked into it+searched a few technical forums I use... Sadly it doesn't seem possible, at least for a normal user. I would help you by moving a topic temporarily/splitting/etc. if it made the whole thread into 1 post, but that wont work: [hide][/hide] Only an admin can install the required phpBB plugin which would allow viewing all the pages in one big lump. I doubt that feature is coming :( Or, admins could just set a page to be an indefinite number of posts (thus viewing all posts at once). That would lag most users to hell though, and make thread browsing impossible for 56k modem users

Didn't they say this was going to best their best ever?

Post in rants :) -
Yes post in help & advice next time. Helps keep off the clutter from forums when topics are in the correct place :)

Looking at what happened to you, it seems the true 'idiot', or culprit here is the person who accused you of being an "autotyper" for accidently once typing / (thus sending the sell message to the clan chat). Kicking you for that is an abuse of channel ops, quite expectable of the general 13-year old RS population..

LOL people still remember Jetpack & Raptor  And yes, Warrock is an awesome FPS game to be totally free. Yes you can buy premium stuff, but free players can still beat people who have extra perks like flash mines/medic kits or heavy machine guns... If they have skill to compensate. I still occassionally play it since I have access to a (shared) level 45 account ranked Captain/Major or so [can't remember which one]. If you play on USA_VS_EU or EU_VS_USA servers send a PM.

Summoning and my hour of fame.
BlueLancer replied to DarkDude's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Hate to admit it, but reporter was right  It belongs to another subsection But big congrats on being (very likely) the first person ever to have 30 summoning, and certainly the first ever to be ranked there. Nice that a tip.it'er got the honor, hehe. -
To put it bluntly, I also think most sci-fi (like Isaac Asimov stories) are best enjoyed as a movie than a rather nerdy book  (Yes I know IAL isn't by him, just reminded me of I, Robot since Will Smith is in that as well)

Tip.it is lagging as this message is being written... Don't worry, most likely it's not your Verizon acting up.

Bush Tells Israeli's Should get out of Arab Land
BlueLancer replied to Hydraides's topic in Off-Topic
Exactly... When Hamas got overwhelmingly elected to the Palestinian parliament, western countries got mad and cut all their funding off because they're "terrorists" (I.E. you can't dictate them what to do by intimidation, or buy their opinions off) Since most of all palestinians support their actions and voted for them, how can an entire nation be terrorists? They aren't. Were the colonial americans who fought against foreigners (British) taxing and claiming their land "terrorists" or people who wanted to live without foreign countries interrupting in their own affairs? -
In most civilized countries, it is classed as a disease/disability though (which it frankly is). But you'd need a doctor to confirm it, you can't just say "I can't be bothered to work today, I must be depressed".. Unless the employer is daft  Best comment. Life is not "happy" or "sad", it's what you make of it (or what your circumstances make it). Nobody is happy all of the time, everyone goes through problems, some people have bigger ones, some smaller. Just because you have a lot of trouble, doesn't mean your life is horrible.

The point of rants is to give you a forum where you can tell others what's wrong about something in the game.

I also doubt 'Tagendo' is a real latin word, might be a mis-spelling. Tacendo would be a gerund from the verb tacere, meaning "silence" or "quietness". Illum Tacendo would mean approximately "place of silence".

1. Camping is lame :P 2. Ping is your connection to other players. 20 to 50 ping is excellent. 100+ is laggy, 200+ is horrible and your connection has problems (will likely get auto-kicked by Punkbuster) 3. 'Mods' is just an abbreviation for 'modification'. There's a lot of mods, ModWarfare is necessary for matches so you'll have that anyways

Collapsion of american economy: 1. Pension and investment funds abroad lose their value and enrage the investors, some elderly labourers lose almost all of their pension funds 2. Hundreds of millions of people around the world lose the money invested in american stock exchanges 3. The world has one less big economy to export items to. The world doesn't need american products however, since Japan and Europe already have caught up to (and even surpassed) american technology 4. Stock value of all the stocks in all the world's stock exchanges plummet down because people are scared to invest in stocks for a short while 5. The country will be forced to spend some of it's army money on rebuilding a better nation for it's own people. The US already spends more on it's army than the entire world combined spends on their own armies. No, USA going down wont "take everyone down with them", but it will have huge effects on other people in the world. Loans will become more expensive, products will cost more due to the market gap and loss of a 300 million people market with a PPP of $40,000+ per capita on average. It would effect every single person from the beggar on the streets of Bangladesh to a white collar worker in Japan, Brazil, Great Britain, France...

Looked it up, yep it's coming this year... Even more awesome :) Thanks for clarifying (Note to self: Blow up WGA headquarters if they postpone this too :( )

I seriously hope that was a joke, or you must lack serious basic economic knowledge. Just the threat of war would be enough to skyrocket the price to $150 dollars per barrel. Why doesn't the USA invade Kuwait or Saudi Arabia? Look at those countries main export, then look at the main importer (USA). Got the hint? Why did the USA invade Iraq? Look at the country's main export, then look at the currency they started dealing it in (Euro), and the main importers (not USA). Funny enough, under Saddam Iraq exported next to no oil directly to the US and started dealing in the Euro currency, the next thing you know hellfire missiles rain on Baghdad and he gets executed for the alleged killing of 182 shia muslims in the Dujail village which happened in the 1980's.

Happy Birthday! 8-) Don't worry, those problems you mentioned are exaggerated... As you grow older, you'll notice life isn't all about alcohol, cigarettes or voting. Heck, I'm way past 18 and I don't even drink or smoke, and only vote if there's an exceptional candidate. I don't care about those privileges much. P.S: I now noticed something:  Your signature looks like a spooky Hillary Clinton

For the people who think peace or war is always the answer.

I guess you didn't watch Osama's 9/11 video? He said he's retaliating because of the western armies in Afghanistan and other areas with US military presence are also killing hundreds and hundreds of civilians, women and children. I don't agree with that scale of retaliation, but at least you can't say he wasn't defending his faith if civilians of his own faith were getting killed. Then you would perhaps cite a source. Funny number, because religion has been definitely the cause of way, way more than 2,000,000 unnecessary deaths in the world. Not least, the christian religion just a few hundred years ago. Using Bible verses like Witch-hunt trials alone took the lives of some hundreds of thousands of people (and it doesn't end there, in 2000 an american student was expelled from her school for 'casting a spell' on her teacher and 'hexing') And just... Don't get started on how Islam started "peacefully" expanding to nations surrounding the first arab settlements (and massacring those who wouldn't convert), or the numerous christian wars and even crusades sanctioned by the Pope himself which led to so many unnecessary murders. Other religions than the abrahamic ones? Ok, they were fairly peaceful. The samurais didn't use buddhism or shintoism and make anyone convert to it's beliefs. The Jewish religion is in fact a quite peaceful one (not judging by some brutal texts in the Talmud or Old Testament, but by their actions), so is Taoism, Hinduism, etc.. Not surprisingly, the two largest religions (christianity, islam) also have caused the biggest massacres and wars in human history. Mostly not even for the motive of being 'pious' but stealing other countries' resources and land. -
Rofl, Johnny Rivers - Secret Agent Man playing on my winamp, and I first see this thread on Music, Movies & Television  I've watched just about every Bond movie (and can't recount how many fun nights I had as a bit younger playing the Goldeneye 007 on N64 with friends) The last Casino Royale movie brought me back to the series after I just about gave up after the lame "Die another day"... It's easily the best Bond movie ever, can't wait for B22 to be released next year. :)

Other than the 70% disapproval (which is quite true), it would be nice if you provided sources for those other claims. I never heard or read a news report where Bush claimed Iran should be attacked. The harshest I've heard is "we are keeping all options on the table", I never heard the US should attack Iran.

Officers told her 'rights' were 'only in the movies'
BlueLancer replied to cryztalwing's topic in Off-Topic
Even if its fake it could be real? wtf... :wall: Your paranoid because your a moron. I don't see what's hard to grasp. Even if the story was "fake", it's easily something that could happen and nobody would be surprised if it appeared on BBC, CNN etc. But yes, the police at least in western countries do much more good than bad. The media does report good stuff the police does occassionally, but only if the story is interesting enough to gather advertising bucks/make people buy a newspaper. You hear about a crazy parent killing her own children, but you never hear of the parent who died prematurely at age 50 after being the best possible mother who devoted her life to her family. You hear about criminals being busted for drugs almost every week, but you never hear about the 99% of drugs that don't get caught by customs. It works both ways, as long as they can raise some response in the readers (and make them spend money ).
