They prob wont rise above whips, because whips are a more all-rounder weapon that you can use to pk, train AND kill bosses. the claws only have value for the special which will not always work. But from the Koing power that these claws have from what I have seen, people will still want them. Then again, looking at D bow, which is also only used for Koing, has dropped below whip, who knows.

There are some nice places to range from in Brimhaven dungeon too. And if you use em, wild dogs shouldn't bother you too much. Its just west of the stairs, north of the respawn point for one of the demons.

How long is that going to last though, whenever I go to Duradel all I ever get are metals, fire giants, hellhounds, greaters, Kalphites, black dragons. And even if I break out of that loop eventually I am going to go through all the monsters in the task list. And the abby whip drop is overrated you can get much more using other money making methods This basically goes back to your final goal in RS...money, "xp and lvls" or fun... choose, 2 out of 3... The thing is, lots of money making methods give no xp whatsoever... gathering 2nds... tanning hides... you name it... It all boils down to a matter of opinion. But lots of them do give exp, and they give alot more money and exp than slayer could. And it's not just that I want better exp, I want the variety that Slayer isn't giving me. I get the same tasks listed above over and over again, so why train slayer when I can be going to 100's of other places to train that have exp and money.

Just be patience, what's the rush? They will slowly sell, even if you have like 100k of them. You could use them as junk if yo wanted, but that would be a huge waste, just wait it out and you'll get your money.

It would be tough with your range, but your other stats would help alot. You could even melee it using d hally, and just bring a bow to lure healers off Jad.

Yeah, probably is. Even if you do kind of trust him, any tool it might give is not worth the risk.

In terms of hitting, I find fire wave to be better, and I think it's ususally cheaper, or maybe a little more expensive thanks to the airs/fires you need to cast it.

Obviously RS helped me with my typing skills, and I type pretty fast now, even though I still don't do it the proper way :oops: . One time I actually remember it helping me is when one of the words on a vocab test I had was Visage. Other than that, I think I remember someone being confused about what flax is.

If you can use a slayer helm, there is no reason that you would ever need to use black mask.

The best is probably Irons, but really don't expect to get it from them anytime soon. You may get lucky, or what is more likely is that you'll spend dozens of trips there with very little to show for it.

For Yaks, use Void and bronze knives. If you actually use rune c'bow with broad bolts, it's just as good exp, and if you are range potted, the high hits keep you interested. For chinning, use them either at the CT mummies, or the monkey's at ape atoll. Really nice exp, but really expensive at the same time. Going to cost you atleast like 25m+ to get to 99 range from where you are. Don't do experiments, Yaks are better. And for avainsies, no you can't set up a cannon down there, you can just wear full void / d hide and pray range with p pots for better exp, and a bit less money, or you can tank there and get worse exp, and more profit. Overall don't do these for fast exp. They can be decent at best exp, but you'll make a but load if you stick with em to 99.

Alright, I went there today, and totaly got owned. Every single kill I was getting consistently owned. Then I lagged a bit and ended up dying. Then, I went back, and didn't notice that verac's skirt was being protected over Arma plate. When I went in again, and lost conn, and bam, lost Arma plate and a bunch of other stuff. Meh, maybe this was just a bad experience, but I don't think i'll be going back there for a while.

Well it does have really nice mage def, and I think I remember someone talking about using it at Wilderness training arena to trap people. But yeah, other than that, it's completely garbage lol.

+13 prayer vs. +6 strength. Not really a contest, your prayer will drain WAY faster with bandos. That 'little extra' +10% or piety prayer can speed it up a lot. Your only loosing 3 pray on not using Veracs Skirt. Then you also get 1+ pray with Bandos top, so basically your only loosing 2 Pray bonus. Not sure if i'm missing something, but not sure where you got 13 pray, unless you want to use Verac body, but you loose 4 strength for 4 pray, and alot of def. 6+ strength is definitely > than 2 pray.

You have to attack them and get them off from healing Jad, and onto you. You'll end up having 1 or 2 of them meleeing you, but they won't do that much damage. You really should read a guide about it before getting there and letting it be a suprise. :|

In places where you won't really be getting hit much Bandos beats Barrows. Just because you have 5 less pray doesn't mean that you can't piety. The 7 strength bonus for top and bottom raises your max by almost 2 over dharok. Yeah over all Dharok is better to have, and really Bandos probably isn't worth it, but it can be helpful. You can't say that Bandos isn't better in places like Dusties or Greaters where that little extra strength bonus can speed it up a bit.

They were probably just lying, people do that all the time to try to upset you. And if they were serious, oh well.

Great thread, and I have been thinking the same thing for a while. Atleast for me, slayer is a pain. I get the same couple tasks over and over again: Fire Giants, Greaters, Kalphites, Irons, and Blacks. I can add alot more variety into my training myself by not training with slayer. I understand at higher levels it can be very useful because of access to new monsters, and black mask/slayer helm speeds up exp, but slayer still isn't all that it's made out to be.

Either do Yaks (make sure to bring some range pots), or you can try some other decent ways like flesh crawlers that give some cash too.

If I were you, I'd get 80 pray, I hear it's pretty useful. Cooking and Flech should really be pretty self explanatory, both really easy and fast skills. You could get both to 90+ fairly easily. For mining, pretty sure powertraining granite is the best. For theiving, I've never done it, but from what I hear pyramid plunder, or blackjacking are the way to go. Hunter, you can catch chins, or Red Sallies I think. Do that till 80 where you can set 5 traps. Fishing: Do monks, fast and good money.
