  1. First of all, calm down. Here are some very common symptoms of a virus. 1) Slow Start-up 2) Corrupt Files 3) Frequent Crashes 4) Disappearing Programs 5) Unexpected Restarting 6) Strange Music Playing 7) Unusual Error Messages 8)Strange add-ons that you did not add 9) Sloe overall system speed Even if you suspect a virus on a computer, the first step you would want to take is to simply run a virus scan from an anti-virus software. If it is proven to be too slow to scan due to the virus, then the next step would be to reimage your computer or in other words, format the hard drive. That simply would put the computer back to it's original factory settings and remove any files that were added on. I am not sure how this works on other computer, but on HP computers, you would simply hit the F10 key upon start-up (Blue Screen with HP Logo) and go on from there. WARNING: ALL files will be erased from your hard drive if you choose to format your hard drive. Good-luck.
  2. For mining, powermining in Al Kharid mines is probably your best place for experience as there are 3 rocks and with a rune pickaxe, they come rather quick. As for smithing, I am afraid the quickest exp would be smelting steel bars. There are also steel bar companies that will offer you coal and iron for the equivalent amount of steel bars, thus, giving you free experience. Either way, mining and smithing will not be fast in f2p. Good-luck. :D
  3. Since I am level 81 woodcutting, the rate of yew logs all depends on the crowd factor. Normally, I get 200-250 yew logs if there is 1 or 2 people per tree, which you have a greater chance of finding at night. If I cut during peak time, which is around noon, then the population is much more greater, (5-6 people per tree) thus, trees tend to fall faster. That means you will get around 100-150 yew log an hour. Good-luck woodcutting. :D
  4. I'd leave it because it's not too much money and I could make 1 million coins in a breeze. I only accept money from leg imitate work, which means I would never take a prize. Nothing is really free and if it is, then there is a high chance that it is a scam. :D
  5. I would say...Snowball fighting or duel arena. :D
  6. In my opinion, revenants are similar to boss monsters. (Kalphite Queen, King Black Dragon, etc.) They take a lot of effort to defeat and if you solo it, then there is a very high chance that you'll die to it. Most of them deal a damage of over 20+ and will hit through anything. It does mock traditional player-killers though. A good rule of thumb is, NEVER bring in anything that you are not willing to lose in the wilderness. :D
  7. In my opinion, to get rid of bots means it has to hurt someone else. Bots did do most of the boring work for most people before, which is kinda like helping player-killers, but at the same time, they are also hurting skillers by taking up all the resources. Whether it's the skillers that get hurt or the player-killers, someone has got to be affected by the autoing. Just my opinion. :D

    Gloves

I was just curious, since there are so many gloves in Runescape, each with it's own unique design, what kind of gloves you guys prefer and the most favored ones. Mines would be the white mime glove.
  9. Drop parties are parties hosted by either people who resign from the game, people who want to clear out their banks, or people who generally likes to have fun. They simply bring items to be dropped and they try to gather a group of people to compete for the item. In a normal place, to get an item, you would need to look around and they will be dropped on the floor. You just would need to pick it up as soon as you see it appear, but the drop trade update coming up will make these kind of parties rare, if not, extinct. Another way to get an item is through the Falador Party Hall where people will put items to be dropped in a box and they come down as balloons. Like the traditional one, you would need to race to get the dropped items, but this time, you will be popping balloons instead! Some balloons may yield an item from the chest whilst others many not. Hope this helps. :D
  10. I do agree that random be removed, if not, a lower frequency as I am starting to get a bit irritated to get caught up in Molly or a maze when I am trying to teleport somewhere.
  11. Greetings and welcome to the Tip.it F-Mod team! Congratulations on your selection and I hope you guys have a great training!
  12. Strength determines how much damage you are able to deal in one turn. That means the higher your strength level, the harder you will hit in a single swig of a weapon! Of course, the better the weapon, the more higher you will hit. :D
  13. I haven't done it yet, but I am level 49 and I am just about to be ready to slay her and rip her head off at the end! :D
  14. Or to save time from burning, you can simply sell them to the General Store in Rimmington. :D
  15. As others have suggested, Stronghold of Security might be the best place to train combat in f2p. Since you're a whopping level 117, then you could try and train at the level 50 spiders at the third level, but they drop nothing. If you are confident enough, then you might get a shot at the ankous located in the fourth level, but they might hit a couple of times. They drop law runes, which sells for 300 each.
  16. I've never attempted to fight Elvarg with magic before, but I have heard that there is a safespot somewhere. I suspect that it somewhere along the southeastern corner as there is all those stalagmites there, but I am not sure. Maging it is not recommended though as it can still hit you through the safespot from dragon breath and she has a relatively high magic defence. Good-luck! :D
  17. I feel the same as I did before as I am not a player-killer, although I don't know how it feels in a couple of days ahead. It probably isn't going to be so easy to drop off some yew logs for a bunch of coins anymore! Like others have said, I actually kinda liked the staking update. People who used to stake high amounts of money is actually learning to gamble in-game. If they win, they win the amount of money staked, but if they lose, then they lose a good amount of even more. Hopefully, it helps to banish the bots.
  18. I find the rune scimitar to be a not too bad looking weapon in f2p, but in terms of holiday items, the scythe, along with black robes, a black skirt, and a grim reaper hood is an excellent looking outfit!
  19. Auto-typers are illegal in Runescape and mostly, people use them to sell things in the trading worlds, or bots to advertise gold selling websites. If it is a auto-typer advertising a sale, then you could report them under rule 7, macroing. If it i an auto-typer advertising a website, them you could report the bot in clan chat "Ad Busters" and it will be dealt with as soon as possible. Good-luck! :D
  20. I like the trees in Falador (3) or the 4 trees at Melzar's maze as the crowd factor is not as high. Woodcutting at night also would help as trees are most likely bare. Varrock Palace is now just as bad as the Melzar's maze trees with the autoers running back and forth as you have many other player chopping and dropping off at the Grand Exchange, so trees will come down rather quickly. Have fun! :D
  21. Most people have numbers in their names or numbers that make letters, such as d4rk, pur3, 0wns, etc. These are common names for player-killing pures. Other people have entirely numbers in their name, probably for security purposes. Names that sound chinese-like, they have a good chance of being a bot. (Xiao, feng) or random letters (Asdf, ffgg, erdt, etc.) Yes, bots do exist in the game, although they are rare as there really is no point in macroing and those few that we see are old accounts, so they are not labeled as "high risk". The safe thing to do is, if you suspect *anyone* of macroing, then report that player via the report abuse screen. If they are not macroing, then no harm is done. God-luck. :D
  22. Thanks folks. I'll try and get a shot at it and hopefully, he will lose! I appreciate the help. :D Locked.
  23. Greetings! I am just curious to know, with these stats, am I prepared to defeat Elvarg? I will be using rune scimitar and lobsters as food. Thanks. :D
  24. As soon as I hear about it! (If it is f2p, that is) :)
  25. Merry Christmas to you and all the tip.iters amongst us and have an awesome new year! :D
