And you lose out on all of the rewards if you sit the war out until the side you prefer shows up. Of course there's going to be a 'mercenary' feel to the whole thing; most of the players participating in this are mercenaries. This really shouldn't be surprising, considering that the leadup to the event was "The gods are terrible and you the player must protect people from them" and "You can choose which of the seven gods (and a neutral faction) you want to support, and have a real impact on which of them comes out on top". It's not surprising that there's very little loyalty when we're shoehorned into one of two choices and the battle itself is a glorified popularity contest where the loser gets killed off. Plus, it's very likely that the vast majority of players don't care about the lore; they're Zamorak followers because evil is cool and he gets red armor, they're Saradomin followers because until three months ago he was the 'good' god, they're Bandos followers because his armor is the best... Really the entire event could have been much better. We should have at the very least been given special word from our faction as to who we should join. Like for example, players who follow Armadyl could have been told to join Saradomin as an "ally" completing certain task. On completion of those task we can gain rewards from Saradomin that could be "altered" by our emissary to show who we support. That way the emissary can get more task updated to them, like "Claim the wrapiest gloves from the Zamorakian Quartermaster and take them to Soran for a special Zaros binding" which would reward you with Zaros like gloves. That way everyone can receive some benefits while still supporting their god. Mining has a decent drop rate for tears. Second best are fishing and woodcutting. It's not as good as on the battlefield, but if you are doing any gathering skill or slayer, you'll get tears. And if you don't AFK the battlefield you can get 2k tears and 100 metal fragments in 2 hours. Obviously, only people who have time will be able to get everything. If you don't have to the time then you should really just pick a side or manage which of the rewards you want the most. And on that note, metal fragments are 10x easier to get from Saradomin forces. At least until to 7 week...

While we are on the subject of worlds and FC's, is there an unofficial OSRS FC or would HYT (Serpent Eye) still be it?

Those player are really interesting to me because some them are quick to point out "Lol no one like SOF but we use it because it is there!" without the foresight to see that their use justifies it's existences, because they remain competitive using it. They don't seem to get that the silent majority speaks louder than the vocal minority in most cases. Nonetheless I hope we will see more out of Jagex thanks to SOF/SGS now the RS3 is here. Maybe we can bump that 39 new player per minute up to at least a solid 50. Of course I hope that figure doesn't include bots being made. :D

I must admit I like that the people who couldn't care less are switching things up, though. I'm tempted to go do IRL things for a few weeks and see if the scores have reversed themselves :) I really don't... I feel that the content would be much more appreciated with mechanics that support the notion of sustained allegiance. Right now its a disgusting amalgamation that could only be potentially justified as "bandosian" mercenaries. The problems are 1) They let player get rewards from both side 2) You aren't bonded to your emissary choice but can't fully leave both factions once you start (unless I am missing something) 3) Other gods aren't present. We are told they are coming and while the Hybrid armor is "meh" for some, those players with true allegiance to either of the current gods benefit more than those who pick to wait for theirs to appear. We've discuss why certain player type might join certain sides like some Zaros followers helping Saradomin because Zamorak betrayed Zaros or other Zaros followers helping Zamorak because Saradomin poses a bigger threat and they want to see the Empty Lord defeat Zamorak. But I guess I another way to show dissatisfaction who the now present gods are to switch teams constantly.

Torment Demons have a very nice drop rate for limbs; at least for the times I went as I averaged about 7m/hr based on my drops. If you really aren't into abilities or wanna relax a bit fighting them, they are easily killed with momentum. The only hard part about them is the lure. You can check out our resident TD expert's blog if you wanna see just how generous they are or need luring tips. I personally recommend Torment Demons but, if you are looking for something much more consistent in terms of profit (because you can hit dry spells) QBD. If you want consistent profit and want to put in even less effort then go to Frost Dragons. If you are lucky fellow then Glacors or Automatons are two more you can try. Happy 'Scaping

If that player base keep playing (and doesn't go off the deep end when the 6 free months are up), everyone should be pleased (ignoring the need to fix bugs and add new quest to RS3, etc). I understand the reasoning behind it but that is some . I mean, it can be done if you bother with 2k tears a day. Quicker if you manage 3k a day. But the BoL event is boring even if you are willing to go get 3k tears a day... The four title come from random skilling on the battlefield.

30 gp/xp no thanks. I did just sell my drygore maces because they're starting to crash so I've got a 150 mil cash pile atm but I am going to buy them back once they stabilize. I'm getting around 60-70 k feathers a day as well as the 684 battlestaffs which is around 220 k exp/day so I'm looking at 9-10 days until 90. If I am diligent about runespanning I should get 90 rc in that same amount of time and with an average of 2.6 lacquer per day based on my ports data means I should have gained 26 lacquer in that time which is perfect. RAWR I love numbers. Also, I'm 90 k rc exp in today so I've got 190 k to go til 86. If I get 90 RC before I get 90 crafting I'll finish it with dhide shields. Happy? RAWR NUMBERS! OT: If you don't get the armor now will you be able to get it later? Or is this a one time deal? That question honestly cannot be concretely answered. I would imagine they will have other similarly statted gear coming from other factions eventually. Same goes for maul, bow and staves I'm betting. As if I'm not wasting enough time trying to get all of the Saradomin rewards. :D I'm hoping once we get all the other god events, or even after this one is over, they'll use our emissaries. They could have the NPC's assign task that after the first initial 3k crafting exp or whatever (for the first time) each competed task rewards tears to rebuy the armor. Of course I'm still not sure if these are the same tears for the new skill or if they'll change that...
