So there is even less of a reason for P2P to get this? :|

13-Aug-2013 - The Death of Chivalry
There little use for Hybrid in P2P. So for F2P there is really no use. Unless you count PvP, but players there really mix a match or stick to one style already. It's still a good set for the damage reduction but having already have a set for each combat style, given the actually t35 stats, and if you avoid PvP I really don't see F2P continuing to care for BOL.

13-Aug-2013 - The Death of Chivalry
Are you kidding me? I just wasted 4 weeks for nothing. You can't just change it in the middle of an event. Now it's useless. Should have been changed the first week, or not at all. 25 tiers better than every other f2p armor set is a little OP though. Definitely worth changing. It's a hybdrid armour, so the -15 tier penalty is in effect. So? So now it's useless, instead of being a tier 60, which is not a big jump at all. I agree with this. Thou, I really think Jagex should have switched the stats on this and Dragonstone armor. But it is another reason to buy P2P. Which means for F2P, abandon event...

Runescape Dying? [Discussion/Observation]
The problem was the lack of input players were putting in. EOC didn't have to happen if players were much more constructive in criticism, or it could have been much batter. They saw the update was going to happen and immediately put it down. EOC was forced because Jagex wanted to prove whiners wrong. And as bad as that is, players are as much to blame. It's a two way street. You could say Jagex was ignoring the player base or what have you, but honestly I expected as much when constructive criticism is drowned by "OMFG! THIS [cabbage] SUCKS!" Mod Mark did let players put in input, but the players weren't willing to help. So he sorta punished a lot of people, including those willing to help out. Thus you have you mistakes... Could have been a better update if the community was a bit more positive and willing to actually beta test.

Runescape Dying? [Discussion/Observation]
I find it odd in a period where money making ha become easier heavy PvP players aren't "Risking it for the biscuit". But I guess that comes to the mind set of the player, which includes their age. When we are young we don't value things as much anymore, but when we lose something we treated a throwaway item we become upset. Very different as we get older. A dollar is something very different to me than my 13 year old brother. Every time I go to the store for something important (like dish washing detergent, or laundry items) he asks for a candy bar. He assumes I just have the money for a $1 candy, then asks "Really? I can't have a candy bar?" as if I'm being selfish. What he doesn't understand is that while I may have $1, it isn't for candy; I don't have that money to spare, especially when I don't work. And I think we tend to translate that into things we do. since the game is mostly held by older players, you get causal PvP'er who know they can easily make the money for higher end gear but don't even when they have enough time in the world to do it. Younger players see this and think "I don't have to go all out" and fight in Batwing... In comment to learning a new combat style, I find that just as odd. I've had plenty of associates quit because of EOC because "Combat is too hard" only to come back and say it is much easier than they thought. I've had one come back and try PvP and become good at it. We have plenty of fansites with people who take the time to examine just about every update jagex has done, and we see it on the forum all the time. "Old School player coming back" thread asking what gear do they need and how abilities work. And they get pretty good answer to find it really isn't that bad. Granted there are some players who really just do not understand combat in RS3 and some who just outright prefer OSRS. But like 999134th said, they are a vocal minority. They rest are really just lazy, who don't want to take the time to do a bit of research, which involves a simple post on somewhere like here...it is as if they don't know how or want to use the search function on the forums for related topics I feel as if I'm gonna get a "I shouldn't have to fish for information" reply, to which I counter with this: if you going to cook a chicken meal with no idea of how to do it, don't you ask someone who does know how, or try to look up the information before doing so?

Today...
Did a bit of babysitting so my cousin could go to a family function. Since her 6 year old daughter kinda took care of herself with the iPad and eventually TV I played FF3 on my DS. It's 2:48am and right now I should run off to bed, but I'm trying to beat odin on my second attempt. Won't be sleeping until I do that. :D

Runescape Dying? [Discussion/Observation]
I hope Kaida meant that at some point in the game, his abilities in combat, or combat in general is not needed. Pure skillers still exist in Runescape; however inefficient thay are at the game, they have found a way to play without combat. Considering what Kaida does in game I doubt he needs to kill something. Yes he has combat levels but if he really didn't want them he could have played this game as a level 3 now level 4. Is he missing out on content? Yes. But combat isn't required to enjoy this game, which is what it comes down to. I think Kaida is saying for what he enjoys, he doesn't need a combat level. Also, Kaida is F2P. Even with max combat stats minus Summoning, there is a lot of this game he can't access without become P2P. :\

First Time Playing RS3...
EDIT: Sy beat me too it. There is no such thing as an offhand whip. However, the Enhanced Excalibur fill that slot. It is a level 72 offhand whereas the whip is level 70 and vine whip level 80. What you would want are dual chaotic claws or a chaotic maul. Those who cannot afford t90 melee weapons but have the levels to use them use chaotics. You'd want claws over a maul. Both have enough accuracy to ignore specific melee weaknesses. However, the claw is marginally better because of the critical bonus it has, as well as the fact dual wielding has better abilities. That said, if you already have a maul do not worry about getting claws. Or tokens would be better spent on other dungeoneering items. As an added note, unless you have Drygores, you can't melee everything. So you'll need range and magic too.

Fire giants are great for fire runes. Might be tough in full rune but you got a cmaul and mh rapier.

Hello, I'm the Doctor! Back and ready to be a noob again!
Indeed, except for I didn't scape at all. I watched Olympus Has Fallen with my best friend. Sometimes I wish my metabolism wasn't so fast, it takes too much liquor to get me drunk. My stomach literally gets full of liquid before I have enough in my system to feel anything unless I'm doing shots. HA! I rather not know the feeling of being drunk at all. I like girly drinks too much to get buzzed. Also, 90 rc yet?

I probably would have made full rune, batwing, and black dhide to DIY barrows maybe? I dunno, but that's what I would have done considering to take advantage of that double blood runes. The rest however, I have no idea. Probably DIY elemental runes with free daily profit essences/daily challenges rewards. But good luck!

Starter Quests
If you are just talking skill exp, which I think you are, Tip.it has a nice Quest Experience Guide that tells you all the quest that give you exp toward which skills and any skill you choose. Clicking on the quest name give pulls up the quest guide which starts with start location. However, as an added tip, from another topic, this pretty much what I think you should do. That said, you seem like a totally new player so you might come back to ask for advice about money making, transportation and such. I suggest using the search function and finding topics about Quest or being a new player. I can suggest a few quest series if you still need it. Hope this helps.

Thoughts on Bones?
The question you have to ask is, will the bots come back. The answer is yes, but for the immediate time period this they are gone, and will probably be so for maybe another month. Also mentioned by Low C, OSRS is better money for bots. It's better money period as people are willing to shell out a lot of RS3 cash for even 1m on OSRS. Money there is a little harder to make. That said, you could do what Santa said and DIY you bones. You could also work on your Dungeoneering level, melee stats, then herblore levels and get it to 85, 80, 85 respectively for Frost Dragons (Herblore is less important and really not required but really just makes it convenient for Dragons in general). If bots haven't returned by then you could then camp the bones you need for 99 by them if you don't have trouble or even camp them and sell those bones, buy a cheaper prayer method, and use the left over money (if any) for something else. Or you could work on your OSRS account and sell 1m of OSRS for a RS3 cash. If you find yourself making a lot of OSRS money then bone prices in RS3 don't even matter.

97 Mining
So I got pretty cool stuff since last update. I started off with 96 mining, only to get bored on my way to 97. I left, went monster hunting so I could pay for smithing, and while I didn't stay long got 38 kills in to get this DIY Claws FTW! Sometime later(like the next day) I went to Frost Dragons, got a hard clue, and got some crappy loot. But thanks to the Sara Wiz dropping me the Earth Batllestaff. Second clue ever. Decided meh, gonna go get 97 then monster hunt for cash, I ended last night with 84 cooking and 97 mining. If only I could call dibs on all mining effigies... My summer is almost ending. Well, August still counts but school is starting next week. I'll continue to work to both my 99's as a technical win however, I won't get them, or even mining before next Thursday. Oh well, I'll take that technical win. :D
