Today is a Great Day
I swear plays are getting some of the nicest hackers these days... When I came back 2 years ago I was completely cleaned, minus my gems, a black battleaxe, and an addy scimitar. I had to sell all my diamond the buy rune armor and a rune battleaxe. Then I went back to FoG so I could buy my zeker shield back. Yay for letting me keep 200k hacker guises -.- Do you need a hug? It's okay. I bought P2P and got free Verac's/dk rings. :D

New Moderators - Local Moderators
Not really. Those companies (Gamerica/UOL and Axeso5) have the licencing rights to RS in their respective languages. It's not an advertising deal. So basically you wouldn't ordinarily see Jmods on those worlds because they don't speak spanish. So these guys take over doing the Jmods events? That's how I read it, yes. The CM team for English RS are all Jagex employees and are located at Jagex HQ, so they all get JMods accounts. Since the people running the foreign language servers are not technically Jagex employees (so far as I'm aware) they don't deserve, or maybe that they can't be trusted with, JMods accounts. This LMod position is a way for Jagex to encourage non-English events without having to grant non-Jagex employees all of the rights and responsibilities of a JMod account. At least that's how I interpret this. Oh, well that doesn't sound too bad. They did mention in the article if these turns out well they'll expand it to other place. I wonder if Jagex would eventually leave Jmod events to thee guys in English worlds too just so they mods can focus on other things, or if we'll just be excluded.

New Moderators - Local Moderators
I agree, but only so far on paper. I think it would be cool if they encouraged some really good ingame events or are somehow able to help players learn about the lesser known parts of runescape. But I can only imagine these "special events" are really just real world advertising plugs. Maybe I'll jump over to the Spanish world and hunt some down.

Whoa, wait... 99 construction and crafting were set goals? My amount of hate for your luck is building. What does your adventure log say? Does it give any clues or could that have been wiped when you got your account back?

Yay minigames! Oh wait...
You know what would really be nice...make that hybrid armor useful outside the minigames. Jagex wouldn't have I need to make another hybrid set after this BoL set, because to my understanding stat wise those sets are t85. Of course then you'd have to deal with hybrid armor use, but that's another discussion itself.

Behind The Scenes - August 2013
I agree. I would be more accepting of the delays and wait if Jagex was just more transparent. We know managing this game is very difficult. If you have to delay the second skill to get more time to make it good then let us know.

Behind The Scenes - August 2013
Anima Mundi is the life force that connects all living things. It is the "soul" of the world and the world cannot live without it. The idea of Anima Mundi isn't unique to Runescape either. But in Runescape is implied that Seren, goddess of the elves, is a divine aspect of Anima Mundi. As for the new skill and new quest, I'm really hoping they let us back out of our BoL choice and go neutral. I really don't support either god and I don't want the quest the reflect either god. I really hope they don't butcher it and allow players to show that despite teaming with Saradomin or Zamorak in BoL, we lie with someone else. As for the new skill, I am really geeked about learn about more Guthix memories. The memories we got so far just isn't enough for me so I'm excited to learn more. But... there is only a few gathering skills I actually enjoy. So I hope they'll be a little more creative about this, because as easy as Runespan is, I'm not sure we'll enjoy another skill like it.

Since F2P Runescape no longer competes...
Jagex is embracing one industry change while sorta ignoring the other. And these isn't necessarily good idea as the two are starting to go more hand in hand. Zaaps' joke was cute but proves a big point. Jagex isn't the only company jumping on the microtransaction train. And they are far from the worse. MMOs are leaning to a F2P model subsidized by microtransactions. Runescape really can be F2P with the need to pay for higher content. They already opened Burthope and Traverly. Why not open the entire game world, let F2P players train a higher skill level than 5 (I think 70 is acceptable) and make some of your more special bosses, armor, and the like P2P? Maybe then F2P would have a use for 10 oak planks and 50 cannonballs...

I would like to play again
You are completely broke, since by selling all the other stuff you mentioned will not even get you to 20m, which is roughly what a proper power armor set (subj/arma/bandos) costs. I suggest you restart the gp duping machine MtK immediately and you should do ALL gp producing dailies, because currently, you are worse than poor. Before you get a nex set & T9 weapons, you can forget about making money through bossing; when you save up enough for a gwd power set, you should be able to do some weak (and not as profitable) bosses, such as glacors, gwd & qbd, which should take care of your money problems for the time. By the way, as Q suggested, you should focus on ports. After a month or a few, you will have PoP armor, which should by then suffice for tanking normal bosses, like nex or kk. Excuse me for hijacking this thread, but I am in a similar state as the OP (just returned, altough I have around 120m bank). What are those gp producing dailies? :) These are all the dailies I do. I have done all the hard task done except for the Desert Achievement Diary. The cost is next to each other. I do the Phoenix lair more so because I want the a Phoenix egg (or two :D) but I haven't tried selling the quills but last I checked they sold for 3k. Also, the wicked hood only give pure essences if you feed it an Omni-Talisman once. A: Apples/Pineapples from Brimhaven; Free B: Battlestaves from Naff/Baba; 588k C: Broad arrowhead from 2 slayer masters; 300k D: Essence from Cromperty in Ardougne; Free E: Flax from Geoffrey; Free F: Jack of Trades; Free Not gp producing G: Pineapples/seaweed from Arhein (Catherby); 240gp H: Sand from Bert; Free I: Sandstone; Free J: Warrior Guild Stew; 1k K: Pure Essence from Wicked Hood; Free L: Yak-hides; 50k M: Chocolate Bars RFD chest N: Phoenix Quill from Phoenix lair

Today is a Great Day
Well I am not so sure about that just yet. There is a rather large amount of money in my money pouch at the minute.... When it was stolen I had about 40mil to my name lol. Now there is a few more zeros behind that..... Im thinking its going to be a full blown bank when I finally get access to it. Wont know till next Monday!

Your Ideas Needed!
Aren't you assuming everyone doing these task or doing dungeoneering is going for comp, which isn't necessarily true? :?

Glad you got your account back! It's sounds like a lot of work was put into it. Glad it wasn't turned into a goldfarming RWT account. Do you still have all your items or are you missing some things?

Maxed Players Banned (500m - 2.1bil total xp)
I think one possible option is this: during the first wave of maxed player bans - which were legitimate bans- those players didn't bot 24/7, but actually trained their accounts part of the time and botted part of the time. One possibility is that botwatch then added the legitimate player profiles to it's 'bot' list as well as when they were actually botting. This would be high level content such as summoning using the Taverly obelisk with mousekeys or fletching broad arrows whilst thieving from dwarf traders, so this behaviour would not occur too regularly. If they only recently activated those first maxed botters profiles in botwatch, that could explain the bans. Hi! I just wanna make sure I understand what you are saying. Botwatch added all the activities of players from the first ban to its "bot" list, which includes actual botting and legitimate means of playing, due to the first banned high level players doing a mix of both. So this time around, despite no one actually botting, Botwatch recognizes these players as botting because what they were doing was on a "bot" list. Is that correct?

old school rs'er needs some help
Extra added tips to added to what the above has said :) Quest. Do all the quest you can that you have missed from over the years. Then do as many Daily Profits as you can. And for the time being you'll want to do a lot of dungeoneering to buy t80 weapons like the above said. You'll be looking to get dual chaotic claws, dual chaotic crossbows, and chaotic staff. You eventually replace all these with t90 weapons but they are very expensive, so you are bound to get one of the 3 above before you consider them. My suggestion is to do you Daily Profits and put it into Miscellenia while you quest. After about a week a good Miscellenia set up should produce enough for you to buy a Barrows set and with enough Dungeoneering you'd have a weapon. After that I would look into easy higher gp monsters like Automatons, Frost Dragons, KBD, and the Ascension Dungeon. Eventually you build your way to GWD and the likes and you be working towards getting GWD sets or even Nex gear. My daily profit run is something kinda large, but if you manage to do all the free items plus miscellenia + spins from quest you can gain some money towards cheap armor like Royal Dragonhide to do some combat like things. Daily Profit or dependant on the amount of quest and task you have done. Note I don't have them all complete. A: Apples/Pineapples from Brimhaven; Free B: Battlestaves from Naff/Baba; 588k C: Broad arrowhead/Unfinished Broad bolts from 2 slayer masters ; 600k D: Essence from Cromperty in Ardougne; Free E: Flax from Geoffrey; Free F: Jack of Trades; Free G: Pineapples/seaweed from Arhein (Catherby); 240gp H: Sand from Bert; Free I: Sandstone; Free J: Tokkul from Tzhaar banker; Free K: Warrior Guild Stew; 1k L: Wicked Hood; Free M: Yak-hides; 50k Monsters I suggest you kill for consistent gp/hr once you find yourself with some armor and weapons. Torment Demons QBD Frost Dragons Jadinkos Waterfiends Good luck! Happy 'Scaping
