A lot of people tend to forget that the people they are talking to in-game are real people. So when you are in runescape you lose the fear and gain confidence. This means that you never know the person behind the computer making it easier for you to say things you wouldn't usually say. Talking in runescape isn't a right, Jagex don't have to give you that right. People often abuse the availability to talk because they aren't talking to someone face to face. So if you decide to break rules through your chat then Jagex have every right to take the chat away from you.

Cannonballs are always good for making money, and there are always a good amount of sellers of steel bars and buyers of cannonballs. It can be boring though, but if you have a good network of friends to chat to while you do, you can keep the boredom to a limit. Another good one is barrows and this actually is fun, especially if you do it with friends. But, sometimes you might not make money, sometimes you will. I think the best way, is for you to try a wide variety of ways and find one that suits you, and your attention span.

Hill giants seem to be a good option for Range. You can either bury or save the big bones and they also drop runes and arrows ect while giving good Range exp. But they can be busy, but you can always find a good world if you do a bit of world switching.

When I first started to play Runescape I never used to get Randoms, but now I get at least one a day when I log in which isn't to bad. Like other people have already said, it is all about luck. A lot of things like drops and random rewards are based on luck. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you are extremely unlucky. Just have to deal with it until the turn of the tide.

It is all down to fate. Some people get lucky and get good drops all the time, some people just don't get anything. It is bad luck, but hey, it can always turn into good luck.

Maybe it was just me, but I found that a bit sexist, a bit uncalled for. Back to the subject at hand. Both of you have a point. The guy who said My 25 was being a bit of an idiot, but when it comes down to it, you didn't have to respond to him. You just lowered yourself down to his level, giving him the excuse to call you a noob. I don't get why people find the word noob so insulting. I mean, say it to yourself and tell me whether you find it insulting. It sounds like the sort of word a 5 year old would say and there are people out there who find that insulting. Sure, it is very annoying, but come on, don't we have more common sense than to get insulted by a word like noob.

In the real world, Riots and standing up do matter, they do count. But this isn't the real world. This is a game. I agree, we should try and change the game for the better, but Riot's aren't the way forward. First of all, you could organise one, and be the best at organising it. But you can bet it will be crashed and the point of the riot will go down the drain. Runescape is a game, and thousands of people standing around, messing about is not going to make Jagex change their mind. I would think they would pay more attention to thousands of people posting their thoughts on how it should be changed in a mature manner. It just seems like a better way of going about it. You say we should do something, and not stand around. All the riots do tend to be just standing around with people shouting random crap and creating a bit of havoc. It has not worked in the past and I can not see it working now. The best way forward is for players to put their opinions forward and see what Jagex think of them. At the end of the day, Jagex don't have to listen to us. There will be new players coming in, who don't know anything about what used to be, they will be the new generation and if the older generation do some complaining and leave well Jagex have their new players to rely on.

My first account was original with no numbers but after a few months of playing I got bored, quit, came back and made a new account. The new account was also original with no numbers. After around two years I got bored again, quit, and came back, made a new account. When I created Rainchaser07 in November last year RainChaser was already taken, but I wanted something completely different from my previous accounts. Since the year was 07 I thought what the heck and added it in. There aren't a lot of people around nowadays without numbers in their names for the simple fact, there aren't many names left. With so many players and then the majority of those players having more than one account. The amount of names available will be low, numbers just make it easier to have the name that you want.

Qutting the game on my first character and giving away everything I had. And then coming back a few months later to an empty account. Good thing is I decided to make a new account RainChaser07 and I have learnt a lot about Runescape and making some serious progress in new ways, making the game more interesting than it used to be.

As a non-mute and a player who has never been muted, I do not have the personal experience to understand where you are coming from. I do not use Quick Chat. I can type faster than I can click and I can say exactly what I want. I do think Quick Chat was a good idea for mutes. This way, when you are muted you lose the power of free speech, but you do not lose the power of total speech. I have never been into one of the quick chat only worlds and I think maybe I should take a look in, just to see what the atmosphere is like. I am glad that the quick chat and their worlds are making a difference and helping people play the game and interact with other players.

I seriously can not wait until full screen comes out. I think the difference will be amazing. I do multi task while playing runescape so the way I play runescape will change, but there will always be the option of the screen we have now, so people can play in their old style or change to suit the new screen. I don't think the screen layout will change, I think everything will just get bigger, and I think the chat box will get bigger as well, hopefully.

Well done on your weight loss. I'm trying to do exactly the same. I have my prom soon and I want to be slimmer to fit into my dress a bit nicer. I have always been skinny, but since the school football season ended in January and with my exams and all the staying inside and revision I haven't been exercising as much as I would usually like so I have put on a few pounds. But now I am part of a training programme for under 18 girls so I should loose the weight naturally and go back to my usual figure just in time for prom. Football does seem to come in handy for girls.

I think we are just going to have get used to the change. In a few months time, maybe even weeks, the forums will be back to their usual self. Posts will have to be re-made. Topics rediscussed, but we also have a brand new forum to work with and we have the chance to add our own personal touch to how we want the forums.

A clan that is close to each other. If a clan can work effortlessly together, and knows each other's strength and weaknesses while also sticking up for each other, well that makes a good clan. A clan with a good leader(s). If a clan has a strong leader who is organised and knows about his clan, the people in it and what his clan needs and wants then the clan will become strong. Levels do matter, but if a clan has levels 100+ but then has neither of the above it isn't going to be number one. You have to have a pinch of everything. Activity is also a major thing. A clan could have everything it needs but if they aren't around much how can they get better and learn about each other and the clan world.

There are a lot of immature players in the game who insist on doing stupid things and annoying the hell out of everyone. In this case, yes he was being immature by saying he got 25 but whatever. All you had to do was to not say anything. Ignore him. People in Runescape always go on about how people annoy them, but more often than not they don't even ignore them. It's a simple thing to do. In runescape you have the time to think about your response before you type it. You can actually fully ignore someone. So instead of being immature and saying that you could of just ignored him. Simply done. He wouldn't of called you a noob and nothing would of happened.

I like the new forums. It feels more modern, and easier to use for me. I think I will like it a lot more when I can use other skins like the old forum. As for the smiles, they do look weird, but they do fit into people's post a lot better. They will just take a lot of getting used to it. Overall, I am already liking the new forum and I think once all the tweaks are done I will like it even more.

I would suppose that English sounds like what other languages sound like to us. A load of gibberish sounds like a good bet. As to how people would imitate it, I don't really know. It would depend on each individual person and their sense of humour.

Mine would be this huge party I went to, a friend of mine was moving away, so we decided to have a massive party for her, most of our school year was there, and it was huge and so awesome, we were just mucking about, having a laugh. It was probably the best party I have ever been to. [hide] I'm the blonde[/hide]

I think that this guide is really good, it has some really good tips in it. Even though my goals are a little less since I have only been playing for a few months, I have been trying them out, and they have been helping me a lot. So thank you for taking the time and making this guide.

I spent about 6 months learning first aid, so I am pretty good with it, If I came across an accident, I would know what to do, because unlike the rest of my class, I didn't fall asleep during all the talks, I found it quite interesting, and then I spent a further few months writing about it constantly in my health and social care class. Oh and I saved my friend once when she got stabbed in the leg. So yeah I know it, and I am confident in it, and it will come in handy sooner or later.

I think one of the main reasons is that there are so many people playing runescape, and then most people have several accounts, so the amount of names you can pick go down a lot. I know when I joined up I tried everything to get a name without a number, all my usual gaming names were taken, everything was taken, so I picked rainchaser07, mainly because it was raining outside. The weather came in handy!

If i had the money to buy a rare right now, I would, One I would like to own one so I wouldn't be mad if they didn't rise again, and two, I think they will rise again, people will take advantage of the low prices and make them rise. So I would buy one now, but each to their own.
