  1. I really like the way the new log in screen is organised. It makes things like your settings a lot easier to organise before you even log into the game. I like the entire new over haul of the Runescape website. I am already getting used to it and it does make things easier for me.
  2. I think a lot of those rules can be applied to an extent. Girl Gamers tend to be more mature than their stereotype. I don't usually get much attention as a girl gamer and I am quite happy to just play the game alongside my male counterparts. On the other hand one of my friends who used to play Runescape never asked for any attention yet she always got it. I remember she was telling me once she was in a war and after the war got crashed and called off she was attacked. Her entire clan seeing this piled the guy and wouldn't stop until they had chased the guy right out of the wilderness. It happened all the time. When she played Castle Wars people would blow up barricades for her, open doors. I always thought it was quite sweet. She never asked for anything, yet guys seemed happy to help her in anyway they could. Girl Gamers do on a general scale have a much harder time when playing games because people do think they are males and do think they have less ability when it comes to playing a game. On the whole, mature girl gamers are generally very good at gaming. You only have to look at the tip.it girls and their high scores and their maturity.
  3. http://img70.imageshack.us/img70/9536/desktophf1.jpg My desktop usually shows what mood I am in. When I picked this one I was in a bored mood.
  4. I don't have a zombie plan. I suppose I would just go with my natural instinct and try to get somewhere safe with my family. And then ring Will Smith, because even though he dies in the end, he is darn good at killng zombies.
  5. I don't think dual wielding should be allowed. Runescape already has a good balance of weapons. Each weapon has a weakness and a strength in every situation. We already have weapons that require two hands and I don't see the need for anything else.
  6. I would think that a lot of their money would go into hiring staff and the up keep of the Runescape website and servers. Also, Andrew and co use this game as their source of income so they will take a cut out of profits. Taxes are another big one. They will spend a lot of money all over the place.
  7. I remember watching a few of those shows mentioned when I was growing up. I still have one of the original bart simpson dolls lying around. Blue pants and top rule. My favourite show when I was growing up had to be lambchop show. I loved it and I still do. And I still have my lamb chops puppet.
  8. It would depend. If I needed the money, Yews. If I didn't and I just wanted to get it over and done with, Maples.
  9. I have a few very good friends. My three best friends in Runescape are all boys and they are all so amazing and as soon as I log onto Runescape they start annoying me I also have other good friends about 5 or 6 who I talk to every time I log into Runescape. I can ask them to do something and I can usually find someone to hang with. The amount of close friends I do have has dwindled, especially the girls, but meh, I still have enough people to be social with.
  10. I am addicted to chocolate digestives, I could practically eat an entire packet without noticing, but now my Mam refuses to buy them so it's not a problem.

    Do You Run?

I play football and I also train young children to start learning football. I do run, not as much as I used to, but I tend to run with my dog in a morning. I also cycle, not much, but I go down by the river again with my dog and a few friends and we have fun. I trampoline a lot, which keeps me in good shape. I get most of my exercise from playing football and the training I do for it.
  12. In a real life emergency like the example given I would most definitely put real life first. I think in other less important issues I would also put my real life first since I value it a lot higher than my Runescape life. On the other hand, there is a line when a Runescape event would come first, but it is pretty low.
  13. My fashion sense in Runescape is linked to my real fashion sense. I like looking good in Runescape because otherwise I feel naked or scruffy. An undressed feeling. I think at the end of the day, it is all down to whether or not the person wants to look good. Sometimes people do look good just to get attention, but some people like myself do it because of personal preferences. I think there is nothing wrong with other people looking good or bad, but when it comes to my own pixel, I want her to look great.
  14. You used an offensive word. While it may not of been the full proper word, it is well known for it's meaning and is just a shortcut to get around the censor. I don't know why you felt it was necessary to use such a word. I think judging by the appeal you sent in, it is no wonder that Jagex have denied you. They aren't being stupid. They are trying to protect their game and their players. If you want to use such language I suggest you move onto a new game, or find a word to substitute your swearing, that does not have a direct or indirect link to the word you are substituting.
  15. I don't think any update will ever be perfect because of the wide variety of players in Runescape. Each player will think of things differently and there is no way Jagex can suit something to suit everyone. It's impossible. So while I may think an update is perfect and there is nothing wrong, somebody else will think it is the most pathetic thing ever. So when it comes to the large amount of people who play Runescape, Jagex have a very hard job of keeping everyone happy. Perfect Updates = Never going to happen
  16. I choose the rule breaker option because I think that no matter how good a game is, if it is full of idiots he won't be any good to play. A game with a lot of rule breakers who spoil the game for you is just as bad as a bad game. I would gladly wait a few months without any major updates for Jagex to get rid of all the rule breakers in the game and people who abuse everyone else.
  17. All those high level players do tend to just fall into the background. They are part of normal clans and communities, but you probably don't recognise them. Also, compared with the amount of people who play Runescape and the amount of people on community boards like tip.it, the majority of players don't come to these boards, so you can't expect to find people here. Also, like has already been mentioned, they may just want to play the game and not come to forums. They may also just go to the official forums.
  18. Without the censor jagex would lose a lot of younger players. Also, cursing and insulting would be rife. Even though I would carry on playing Runescape, a lot of people would quit. The censor is put in place to protect people from unsuitable language. Jagex may have went a bit to hard on the censor but that is because people try so hard to get around the censor. I think if the Runescape community matured a bit and stopped being so immature Jagex might soften the censor a bit. But as that is unlikely to happen, we should just accept the censor. The censor does not stop you having a conversation if you use proper English, so it shouldn't be a problem.
  19. I am on the fence on this one. As I have several accounts Tutorial Island slowed down the making of my accounts down severely. I most certainly would of liked to not do Tutorial Island. On the other hand, not only does Tutorial Island slow down the account making process it also teaches basic Runescape skills to new players. Without knowing these skills new players would turn to other players and ask them for help. Jagex would then be flamed for taking away the Island and leaving all these new players to annoy everyone else. On the other hand though, a lot of new players already ask existing players for help, it is one of the great annoyances to some players, but the numbers would dramatically increase and make it about 10 times more annoying to even enter Lumbridge. So, considering all this, even though personally I would love to be able to not do Tutorial Island, I would rather new players were taught these things before they entered Runescape so they wouldn't have to ask us.
  20. Well, I have one more exam on Monday and then I am done. I will be having fun until August when I get my results and apply to 6th form. Hopefully, go to 6th form and study, Health and Social Care, English Lit, and ICT. I'm looking forward to my education now. It should be fun, hopefully.
  21. Without the player interaction, Runescape would never of reached the heights it has, and if they removed it now, it was sharply fall. If Runescape turned into Oblivion but with the same content no-one would play it, It would be far to boring.
  22. I was stuck on a quest and I didn't have a clue what it wanted me to do, so I typed in Runescape Quest help and tip.it was one of the top ones. I then found the forum, joined and have stayed here. I do have an account on Runescape Classic, but it is under my old Runescape name so I don't use it anymore.
  23. My favourite book series are the Boudica series by Manda Scott. It is a fictional tale of Boudica and what she accompanied but it is told in such a way to make it seem real. And a lot of it is based on true facts. My favourite book is the Black Magician Trilogy. It is technically three books but it's all in one so I count it as a book. Another amazing fictional story, the world of magic, betrayal, fight scenes.
  24. There was this one girl in my primary school and her and her sister weren't very well liked. Their mother had left them and they had been sent to live with some relative or something. They came into school with nits and they always smelled, and the natural impulse of a bunch of 10 year olds was to annoy the hell out of them, which we shamefully did. I had to sit next to her during English and I used to edge right to the end of the desk and hold my nose, while keeping my hair as far away from her as possible. And when we used to play Chinese whispers I used to whisper from the other end of the desk, thankfully, she never whispered to me, because her breath was foul. At secondary school now we are all pretty normal. We have passed that age where we feel it is necessary to publicly judge and humiliate people. I think I have hit it lucky with my school because there isn't many [bleep]s to go around and kids tend to stick up for each other.
  25. I get really creeped out sometimes. My dog will just sit in the passage and stare at the same space and then he will suddenly jump up and start barking his head off and he backs away from the space. Often at night when he needs a wee I will open the front door and he will walk out and stand there staring just over my shoulder, I turn around and there is nothing there but I always feel like I'm not alone. I don't know whether it is due to my active imagination, or just having a dumb dog.
