  1. Wonderful...my left hamstring is starting to give me problems :wall: . If I don't heal by Wednesday I am going to be seriously ticked off...
  2. Well this is the first year I've ever run Cross Country (did Volleyball last year, was too scared to do it in Grade 9 and I didn't like running until the end of Grade 8) and I had my first practise in the morning on the previous Friday, and now that I'm in grade 11 I'll have to run the senior level race against grade 12's and possibly 13's. For our practises we usually run about 4km-6km, which can take about 20-40 mins for everyone to finish. I've never actually taken note of my personal best time, but I've definitely found the routes easier every time we run it. We have our first meet next Wednesday, and as stated before I'm running in the senior level race which is about 7km. Even though I've had my share of injuries (sprains) and cramps, I love running. The adrenaline rush you get when you're only a few meters a way from the finish line is one of the greatest feelings. So does anyone else here run Cross Country? What distance do you run and how long have you been running for? What's your personal best time? Share :D
  3. FINALLY \ ! This was a HUGE sigh of relief for me by getting this FC. It was my very first run of the day, and the best part is that I didn't choke! I have my mind set on TWIE next, once I learn how to be consistent with the first half of the song it's all about proper fretting and not choking. When I first 5* Raining Blood on Hard, I used SP to pass Mosh 1. However by doing so it's pretty much manditory that you FC 'Hard Rain' and 'Verse-Chorus'. When you reach 'Flood!' just make sure you have a 3x multiplier when you reach that final triple chord, those ticks can give you those just the right amount of points you need to 5* it.
  4. Nice :D , and did you notice that you FC'd the songs in reverse order? Your next FC should then be Rock You Like A Hurricane ;) I figured I should re-FC NotB since my score was lacking a good 3k+ points, so I practised the solos for a while and got it after a few runs [hide=NotB re-FC!][/hide] I actually missed an easy 600 points because I activated a 3-note chord under no SP, it would've gotten me 1st on PS2 but I'll have to settle with 3rd for now. I also decided to try for more points on TWIE, and came 7k short of my goal [hide=TWIE 593k][/hide] This was actually a -5 run, 3 of which were early on and the other 2 were in Shredding Solo 1. By the way, has anyone bought RB2? I've seen a video of one of the songs, 'Pain Killer' by Judas Priest, and the solos are absolutely insane!
  5. Wow...the Metallica pack has already been FC'd, and in less than 24 hours (I think)! Neversoft must be kicking themselves right about now
  6. I'm taking a break from FRCPREMIX...yesterday I had 12, count 'em, 12 chokes, IN THE SAME SPOT (orange notes of the fast-strumming)! It's getting waaay to frustrating FC'ing from Aggro Part-Chorus 3 and then having to restart it again. So I decided to finally work on the song I've played the least...Kool Thing. [hide=Kool Thing FC][/hide] FC'd it on my second run because I overlapped SP in the first. Also, I finally broke 600k on TTFAF [hide=TTFAF 600k+][/hide] Didn't expect the run to be so good, but it definitely could've been better. For now I'm trying to get 600k+ on TWIE. I've been close to a 1k+ NS before, and I'm at about 97% for each of the solos, so who knows...maybe an FC will come one day?
  7. http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6393 Go to section III for squeezing/activating.
  8. Congrats on 60 FC's and 98th ranking overall Saidin :D I'm pretty sure today is the day that I'll get FCPREMIX, and with a little consistency on Solo A in Down and Dirty I should get that too, pushing me to 50 FC's ;) And yeah, I just realized I linked you to manage scores lol, though you already have the link I'll just post it again for anyone else who's interested (Jugular/Jugulaur/Jugulauur is my usual gaming name by the way): http://www.scorehero.com/scores.php?use ... e=0&diff=4 As for Take This Life, I'm assuming the part that is giving you the most trouble is the ending of the Verse Riff with the quick chord changes? If so then go here for a better explanation of how I hit that part. My post is the the 6th one, but there's other good advice in there as well that may help you out better. Good luck! The entire song is a chokefest :wall:
  9. It wouldn't make that big a difference really, but I'd preferably level it without raising HP.
  10. Heh, well this is my scores page http://www.scorehero.com/manage_scores. ... e=5&diff=4 But you're well ahead of me in terms of FC's and scores :P
  11. Definitely get your range to 63 so that you can hit 11's with addy arrows. From there just keep training your strength and range so that your strength is always higher. You have a good setup to be a dominant force with Range/2H. As for magic, if you want to you can raise it to 55 for High Alch, but other than that I wouldn't waste the money on it since it's not really benefecial to pk with in F2P.
  12. I would have shot myself with a banana tbh. Well I refrained from smashing the guitar into the TV, so I guess that's one good thing to look at  EDIT: After FC'ing Solo 3 twice in practice mode, I managed to get it in a real run, giving me the RYLAH FC I've been longing for! [hide=RYLAH FC][/hide] And in other news, I managed to reduce my FCPREMIX run to a -1, in which I missed the LAST blue sustain at the end of the fast-strumming bit...I just can't win with that song :x
  13. someguy913 also FC'd RTTH on Drums yesterday, what a crazy day for rhythm based games that was  I failed to get a squeeze in Sabotage (1st one is especially ridiculous), so my score remains the same. Haven't been doing too much lately, managed to increase my 'My Curse' score to 397,530, and I choked on a 600k run on TWIE yesterday :( I might go for some of the easier songs on my list which I've come close to FC'ing but haven't put the effort into trying. This includes: RaRAN, In Love, Kool Thing (>_>), RYLAH (-2!!!), Down N' Dirty (-1 in Solo A >.<), Go That Far, and Impulse (Funkiest Riff in History...). I also had the WORST choke on FCPREMIX yesterday, I had managed to keep an FC up to the fast-strumming bit, and I actually nailed it but choked on the HOPO section afterwards, giving me a-2 run...I'll never forgive myself :(
  14. Best thing to kill with C'Bow is Blue Dragons in the Enclave. Although it takes around 30mins to get a full invent of bones + hides it is the best money-making method for range, that is, once you've reached the 180k payment for the bow. If you want to focus on EXP though, Fire Giants are your best bet. They have decent drops, and can make you a small profit, but nothing compared to Blue Dragons. Although with Fire Giants I'd suggest you use Bone Bolts, since the income made from killing the Giants would greatly outweigh the expenses from buying the Bone Bolts.
  15. I wouldn't attempt to PK with your current stats right now, simply because you'd get obliterated if you were to fight anyone near your level. Seeing as you have 58 Agility, you should finish Regicide if you haven't already so you can obtain a Crystal Bow. You will be using it to train range, which is the best style for you to PK with. For now you should aim for these stats: 75 Attack 80 Defence 78 Strength ~83 HP 85 Range 82 Mage 57 Prayer Combat Level - 103 Combat In this position you should be able to PK somewhat effectively because of your high range and mage, as well as your strong defence; the void + crossbow/D-Bow + mage method would work best for you. Once you reach the 90's in Range you should start working your defence and mage up. If you ever reach 99 Range, Mage, HP and Defence, you'll be 112 Combat.
  16. You have to wait about half a second after hitting your opponent with range so that you can attack with your 2H as quickly as possible without the delay. You'll learn over time how to quickly equip your 2H so that they don't have the time to eat. Though sometimes they will be at such a low HP that even if they do eat your 2H will still K0 them.
  17. http://img84.imageshack.us/my.php?image ... ix1bo6.jpg http://img71.imageshack.us/my.php?image ... ix2tw8.jpg ^ I just realised that the card was still valid... 8-)
  18. Nope. Besides, you already have the optimal stats for any range/2Her.
  19. I could've had a slim chance to catch up to him if I didn't miss two songs :( ah well, I'll try and clinch second ;) 1. Bongo_Man - 601,292 2. SaidinWoT - 579,985 3. Bballchamp23 - 450,728 Next Song: She Bangs the Drums?? this is just a guess btw lol.
  20. I should try that, my blue fret has been messing with me since Friday and I've tried the rubber-band and paper trick but neither worked for me.
  21. Great advice so far... Anyways it'll take awhile for you to gain stats needed so that you'll be able to PK effectively, so I hope you're prepared if this is what you really want. Your attack and defence put you at a major setback for melee PKing, so your only choice here is to become a defensive range/mager. You should aim for these stats for now: 85 Attack 76 Strength 80 Defence x HP 80 Range 82 Magic 70 Prayer Combat Level - 101 70 Prayer is just to increase the longevity of your prayer. Ultimately you'll want 99 Defence, Range, Mage and HP, combined with 70 Prayer will put you at 110 Combat. From there you should max your prayer out to 89, which will put you at the max of 112 Combat. Obviously this is meant for P2P PKing, as you wouldn't excel in F2P with your current stats. For training spots I suggest Fire Giants, since you can make a good profit from ranging them with Bone Bolts. You can also try Blue Dragons in the enclave with a Crystal Bow, it's a slow but excellent money-making method. Good luck!
  22. Ahh, I had the same problem. You should try to get a new one ASAP, because I simply up-strummed all possible songs and by the time I got a new guitar it took me about a week to get used to alt-strumming again :( Speaking of alt-strumming, I still have no ability to do it. I think I may be the only person that plays completely down-strumming. (except for the really fast notes) Any method to "learn" alt-strumming? I tried on a few songs, but failed horribly. I'd play Miss Murder, it's a good song to get used to the alt-strumming rhythm. I just keep counting 1,2,3,4 (usually changes depending on the time signature) in my head, where 1 and 3 are the up-strums (for me) and 2 and 4 are the down-strums, for you it'd be vice versa. It's also helpful if you accent your strums, like when you're about to down-strum do it harder so that you don't lose the beat in your head. You can also do songs like My Name is Jonas (the bridge section is good alt-strum practice) and Barracuda if you want to get better at gallops. Though it really just develops over time as you alt-strum more songs. Don't get rid of your single-strumming though, a strong thumb is just as beneficial as a strong alt-strum. [/hide] Ok, Thanks I think I'll try that. : Speaking of a strong thumb, ever since I started playing GH, I've grown a little knob on my thumb from constantly strumming. I can also pop my thumb in and out of its socket, which I couldn't do beforehand. LOL WTF :o

Lol I haven't even 5* all the songs on drums on Hard (RTTH, WGFA), and I'm stuck at (Don't Fear) The Reaper on Expert :(
  24. The end of '08? Are you serious -.- Once again I've managed to waste another $5 in hopes that the PvP worlds would come early October, money which could've been spent on a nice slice of McCoy's Pizza :wall:
  25. Heh, you're pretty much like my pure, give or take a few strength/range levels. Definitely build your strength up to 80, seeing as you plan to use DDS because of 60 Attack. You can also build your range to about 90 (?) without levelling, so you should aim for that level as well.
