  1. Well look at it this way, with Set #1 the stats you PK with are already at their max, so there's nothing more you can do. I say when you think you've had enough of the mid-level crater, or you're tired of having to stay at 1 summoning in order to PK in the mid-crater, then you can raise your summoning to whatever level you wish. The only difference would be fighting tougher opponents.
  2. Excellent, I can't wait until they go to Tennessee so Jevon Kearse can lay it to him. Go Titans \
  3. I think he means 20's, because at 68 Strength and 1 Prayer you can't hit 21's until you're 70 Strength.
  4. Gear -Rune Helm -Black D'Hide Body -Black D'Hide Chaps -Rune Boots -Amulet of Strength -Magic Shortbow -[bleep]ed Vambs/Mithril Gloves -Ava's Accumulator -Rune Arrows Inventory -Super Strength Pot -Super Attack Pot -Range Pot -Rune Crossbow (optional) -(e) Dragonstone Bolts (if using crossbow) -G Maul -Sharks
  5. 40 Attack 67 Strength 10 Defence 40 Range 41 Mage 31 Prayer ~57 HP Combat Level - 55 Well since you're already at 3 prayer there's no use leaving it there so it can mess up your combat stats. Keep your range and mage where they are, since levelling them (range at least) would add to your HP levels, giving you less time in the low-crater. Not much too it except get 31 prayer and max out your strength from there.
  6. Well, admittedly, you're in a pretty bad position. Pures who have ancients can completely dominate you if you're not careful, but that's not to say you won't excel in the low-crater in P2P. You'll want to go with the Range/Maul set here, soooooooooo: 50 Attack 70 Strength 40 Defence 80 Range ~73 hp -83 mage 1 Prayer 1 Summoning Combat Level - 67 These stats will put you at the starting point of 67 combat, so that you can maximize your time in the low-crater as the highest level. You'll be able to max a 24's with maul and 18's with Range (with potion), so you'll be quite a dominating force.
  7. You're in a perfect situation right now because you've stayed at 1 summoning, you have so many options available to you. I'm only going to tamper with your future stats, because you're underestimating how high you can get them. In fact I'll give you two sets of stats which you might want to think about getting. Set #1 - Range/Mage 70 Attack 65 Strength 99 Range 70/99 Prayer 99 Def 99 Mage 99 Hitpoints (in time) Combat Level - 106/109 You now see that you can actually get 99 Defence, HP AND Prayer (though I highly doubt you'll want to spend the time and money on it) in this position while still being under 112 Combat. Set #2 - Range/Melee 87 Attack 99 Strength 99 Range 70 Prayer 75 Def 99 Mage 99 Hitpoints (in time) Combat Level - 112 If you're thinking about using Melee, these are the max stats you can obtain so that you're at your fullest potential when PKing. You won't be able to raise your Defence since it would disallow you to obtain the highest amount of attack levels you'd want, and the same goes for your prayer (at 70). So you see you can pretty much go in both directions here, but if I had to choose one I'd go with Set #1. 99 Defence and 99 HP combined with 99 Range and Mage will make you an inpenetrable force in the mid-crater. The only thing to remember here is to stay at 1 summoning, you don't want it interfering with your stats. As for BH, I've never PK'd in the mid-crater before, but from videos I've seen the honor system hasn't changed much from the old wildy. People will "rush you" (attack you while you're fighting another person), so watch out for them, and as for the penalties, people tend to quickly leave the crater and bank their items so when they go back in the crater they can equip the armour and use the food that they got from the kill as to not lose their own armour. That's pretty much it, good luck :
  8. ...By hitting all the notes :?: Lol good job though, I'm working on some GH2 FC's right now as well.
  9. Very nice, 9.5/10 :D You should work on training your strength to 75, since you want to be able to get higher hits with 2H.
  10. The problem here is that your prayer and defence sets you back a bit, so you won't be able to gain as much attack levels if you were only 40 defence and 43 prayer. Nevertheless, you can still excel in the mid-crater. Try aiming for these: 60 Attack 65 Defence 80 Strength X Range X Mage ~74 HP 51 Prayer 86 Combat This is a short-term goal which you should be trying to achieve, you can start PKing with these stats since there's a chance you could find some fair fights. Although, you will still get PJ'd by higher levels, but you won't have to worry about that much longer. Ultimately these are the stats you'll want to get: 66 Attack 65 Defence 99 Strength X Range X Mage 99 HP 51 Prayer 86 Combat Like I said before, because of your high defence and prayer you won't be abe to gain as much attack levels, however these stats are still adequate, and you should have little troubles PKing in the mid-crater. Heck, you're pretty much set-up for the high-level crater.
  11. You got your work cut out for you dude. Work on training your strength and attack and defence, since you're going to be a melee rune pure. I suggest you raise your prayer to 43 mainly for ultimate strength and the protection prayers since BH is still very unhonourable. So with that said here are some short-term goals you should aim for: 75 Attack 40 Defence 85 Strength X Range X Mage ~76 HP 43 Prayer 86 Combat At 86 combat you'll still have to deal with the level 90s+ PJing you and attacking you for fun, but you should still be able to get some fair fights in. Ultimately you'll want these stats: 88 Attack 40 Defence 99 Strength X Range X Mage 99 HP 43 Prayer 100 Combat You'll be at the brim of 100 combat, so one more attack, prayer or defence level would put you at 101, so be cautious as to not raise your defence above 40 and your prayer above 43 in the long run. Good luck! You don't have that much work ahead of you
  12. Well I've had experience with Range + Maul and it worked fairly well, if you want to go in that direction I suggest getting at least 31 pray, but ultimately you'll want 52, so the sooner the better. I sayyyyyy aim for this: 40 Defence 75 Range 75 Strength 50 Attack 31/52 Prayer ~71 HP 41+ Mage 72/74 Combat Although, I suggest you don't go with this set simply because a DDS would be better for the levels you'd be fighting, by that's just my two-cents. If you plan to turn into a ranged tank, you should leave your strength, attack and defence (for now) alone, and raise your prayer, mage and range (obviously ;) ). So with that said: 40 Defence 80+ Range 60 Strength 50 Attack 52 Prayer ~70 HP 80+ Mage 73 combat You'll definitely want to think about getting Ancients, as it will be extremely beneficial in your PKing career. Try different setups: Crossbow, Void Range, Mystic + Range, et cetera. Just try to see which works for you.
  13. No, the unique thing about Runescape PvP is that there's a risk factor. That's what makes it more enjoyable than other games' PvP's. I also don't see why they made it so that you can attack your target even when they are being attacked by someone else; 1 on 1 PKing should remain 1 on 1. I understand people will PJ, but being double/triple teamed is one of the many flaws of BH. I don't even want to get into how unbalanced it is...
  14. 20 points lower than my old score, but it'll have to do :|
  15. LOL I completely forgot about this weeks song :o that's nto going to do any good for my ranking...gahh... Ah well, I was getting annoyed with expert so I went back to hard mode and FC'd a few songs. It's pretty fun :D
  16. Well the best type of PKing style varies throughout each crater. The way I see it: Low-Level Crater: Range/2Hers Mid-Level Crater: Rune Pures High-Level Crater: Rune Pures Well instead of telling which quests should NOT be completed, I'll tell you which quests should be completed: -Vampire Slayer (4825 Attack Exp) -Witch's Potion (325 Magic Exp) -Imp Catcher (875 Magic Exp) *Restless Ghost (1,125) - Don't do this quest if you want to stay 1 prayer Basically any quest that doesn't give you defence or prayer (given if you don't want prayer exp) experience is safe to do, but the quests listed above--especially Vampire Slayer--are ones you should consider doing to level faster. So since you want to be ranged based, for the low-level crater you should work on making a Range/2Her. You're primary goal should be to get 40 attack and strength, along with 47 Range. From there one you should train your strength so that it is higher than your range, since your 2H will be your main weapon, and you want as much power as possible. Ultimately, aim for this: -40 Attack -75 Strength -1 Defence -70 Range ~68 HP -1 Prayer -32+ Magic You'll be around 54 combat, allowing you to maximize your time in the low-level crater as (close to) the highest level in the crater. Now as for the mid-level crater, you'll want to think about switching to the pure melee style with 40 defence. Unless you plan to go members, you'll get completely dominated as a pure in there. Also think about getting 43 prayer, it'll come in handy in there. Good luck!
  17. Yes, you are melee based and your current stats allow you to obtain 99 mage and range without gaining a combat level. Keep in mind though that the HP gained by getting range levels (and mage levels if you aren't alching your way there) will make you gain combat levels, but since you're most likely going to want 99 HP anyways it doesn't really matter.
  18. Pure mages are absolutely pointless in F2P BH, you'll just be wasting your money on runes and food. However you could turn it into a range/mager, I've had good results when I tried a range/mage hybrid. I haven't seen much clans in BH craters as much as friends in groups of 3 or 4 that tag team their targets, but yes, Mid-level crater is completely unbalanced. You pretty much need to be 90+ combat to even have a chance at killing someone. You shouldn't have to change your ways, but just be cautious of taggers. Well, just getting 70 Defence and 70 Prayer and about 76 HP would put you at 97 combat. At that stage you can raise your mage to 99 without gaining a level, as well as range. I'm assuming you want at least 95 attack and strength, so that combined with your other stats would put you at 111 combat, meaning you can gain one more combat level until you won't be able to enter the mid-level crater. Unfortuantely, you won't be able to have 99 attack, strength and hitpoints unless you stay at 66 defence OR keep your prayer under 47 (whilst having 70 defence). Ultimately, there are two options you can choose (both including 70 defence): 1. Get 52 prayer, and only get 97 attack and get 99 strength and HP. 2. Get 70 prayer, and only get 90 attack and get 99 strength and HP. Each option would put you at the edge of 112 combat, meaning one more combat stat level would put you at 113 combat. Personally, I find option 2 better, since Piety increases your attack by 20%, so 90 x .2 = 18 + 90 =108. Therefore with piety you'll actually be 108 attack, giving you a higher attack level than you would be without the use of Piety in option 1. Also take into consideration Piety increases your defence by 25% and your strength by 23%, so ultimately with Piety you'll be these stats: 108 attack 121.77 strength 87.5 Defence Also with the use of pots you'll have even greater stats. Good luck!
  19. 80+ Attack 80+ Strength 70 Defense ~76 HP 70+ Range (optional) 80+ Magic (for now; if you don't plan on using it, then just leave it for now, but you'll ultimately want it for Vengeance) X Summoning (don't raise it since it adds to combat levels) 70 Prayer (Piety) Since you're going for a barrows pure, you might as well get the needed 70 Defence. I don't know if you plan to PK with Dharok's, or will just use the regular melee setup; either way it shouldn't affect your PKing. You'll definitely want to put time towards getting 94 Magic and finishing the Lunar Diplomacy in order to use Vengeance. Range is pretty much just to help with HP, and you never know if you might want to try using range in the craters instead of melee once in awhile, but you don't need to raise it. BH is basically like the old wildy, but it is extremely unbalanced. I still don't see why they could've just made it so that you can only attack players within a range of about 1 of your level, but I won't rant...Just watch out for double teamers, taggers, and if you're going to take a penalty kill at least make sure you have a reasonable amount of prayer and food available to survive the 3 minutes.
  20. 40 Attack 63 Strength 1 Defence 60 Range 32 Mage ~54 HP Combat: 47 This is a good place to start PKing, you'll max 19's with 2h while potted, and 10's with range (until level 63). You'll be quite a force to be reckoned with, but there are still PKers who will be 1-8 levels higher than you, so be careful. Ultimately you want to try and end up with these stats. 40 Attack 75 Strength 1 Defence 70 Range 32 Mage ~68 HP Combat Level: 54 With these stats you'll max a 22 with 2h and 12's with range. This puts you in a good position since you'll need about 2 more HP/Strength/Attack levels until you gain a combat level, which would put you at the brim of 55 combat, allowing you to maximize your time in BH as the highest level.
  21. Flesh Crawlers are the optimal monsters for pures to train on. They have a max hit of 1 and give 100 exp each, good luck finding a remotely empty world though. Other options are the zombies and skeletons in Draynor sewer, and though they don't give as much exp as Flesh Crawlers it is less crowded in that area.
  22. This video is pretty old, but thought I just might share it with you guys ;) http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=_YaB7VnE-uw I always get nostalgic whenever I watch it  So I'm basically done with PKing since I have no desire whatsoever to work on that account for BH'ing, I'll just be wasting my time and patience. Comment and rate it (even if you hate it), thanks!
  23. Pfft, I've never had a good history with merchanting -.- I can't count how many times I've bought a load of [yews] for about 1m worth and left them in my bank for about a month, hoping they'd go up in value...nope. I lost about 3m worth in about a 4 month span investing in items which later dropped in value, which in that time I could've made well over 3m with skilling :wall: Guess merchanting was never my thing...ah well, I'll stick to hunting :D
  24. Being 67 Strength, 31 Prayer, 40 Attack and ~60 HP would make you 53 combat. With 70 Strength and ~61 HP, you'd be at the starting point of 55 combat. At that point you could raise your range level to level about 50 before gaining an HP level. So it'd be safe to raise you range to 40 without fear of gaining a combat level to be able to wear D'Hide Vambs for better defence, but it's completely optional.
  25. Pretty much this. It'd cause way too many problems, and I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable being exposed to certain body parts...
