  1. Lol I snagged the clan name "Microsoft".
  2. Unless they are dropped at a lower rate than the demand is going up, of course... ;) Right, but that's exceedingly hard to imagine. The demand for these items right now practically 100%. Everyone wants one. So I don't see that drastically increasing unless the number of players of the game drastically increases. Of course, if that happens, supply also will drastically increase. I suppose that the intensity of demand could increase, but not unless Jagex changes the stats, which they won't. To the contrary, as higher level gear is introduced, intensity of demand will decrease. Your idea is a theoretical possibility, but practically is not going to happen. Also, please note that I was talking about real price, not nominal price. The nominal price might increase over time if some money source like the 26k trick is reintroduced, but that also seems unlikely at this point. Fury's. They've been the best ammy in game for years. YEARS. And they have gone up in price because of Jagex.
  3. Good scripts are coded to be Human like. They are told to randomly examine objects, mouse over skills to check experience, twitch the mouse, never click the same pixel on the screen twice. I firmly believe the only bots Jagex can truly tell are bots, are the ones that fail random events and the ones that are logged on for 24/7.
  4. Sounds to me like Korasi's protected over claws, considering you were using protect item. Your story doesn't seem right.
  5. Games are not real life so somebody cheating on Runescape is not comparable to cheating IRL. You may consider Runescape to be like a second life because you have become so engrossed into the game that you spend more time in the game than in real life, but most people play Runescape just for fun. The majority of botters are people who have more important things to do IRL than play a game, so they let a software program play it for them. They will play the fun parts of the game like pking and questing, but training mundane skills such as every skill but dungeoneering will be done by the bot. Cheating on a game is not a moral decision. I once cheating on Grand Theft Auto to get every weapon and trust me when I say my life did not change afterwards.
  6. An extremely popular free botting client is about to go paid. You'll see a lot less bots once that happens, and Jagex will swoop in saying they've done some miraculous mass ban (when altogether we know their botting detection is outperformed by some of the more recent scripts). I personally think Jagex just changed a few ID's around when giving the Runecrafting cape to the new guy in the RC guild. That could mess up a lot of bots mining essence.
  7. Double Post.
  8. That is legitimately awesome! Best update of the week.
  9. Use the GE. They will sell.
  10. Runescape is easy to create bots for and membership is cheap enough to make legitimate money with a good enough computer. Of course there will be a lot of bots.
  11. Just because there are 2 guys wearing identical gear doesn't mean they are bots. At level 60 defense that setup is exactly what you will be wearing if this is your first account. In fact, an account I just started fresh on is wearing exactly what those guys are wearing. Although, yes they are most likely bots. Nobody actually plays this game anymore, right?
  12. If you ask me it makes these forums seem more and more like the RSOF, as if Jagex was running this site. It's hard to post anymore without carefully crafting each sentence to make sure it conforms to the rules you guys have set. I say you guys should just lighten up a bit.
  13. Bots are down. The update broke them, however they will be up shortly.
  14. I really don't see every partyhat reaching over the cash limit. Without the PvP statues coming in as fast as they were GP will continue to become worth more and more. Prices can't hold out forever, and unless Jagex adds more ways for GP to be added to the game everything will eventually even out and slowly decline in price.
  15. Nothing is pointless as long as you feel accomplished in the long run. There are bots that run Dungeoneering solo, and they run it relatively fast. Between 10-15 minutes a floor. There is nothing Jagex can do to get rid of bots. There is always a way around the system; this includes everything in life. And so long as the game is a grind-fest there will be a bot problem.
  16. This can't work. The client bots run on can see each and every ID and can correspond which actions go with which ID, but they can not see invisible items/monsters, only the ID. All this would do is make the bot walk somewhere. If the bot is right clicking it will not hinder it at all.
  17. Why are there cooked lobsters under water?
  18. Still rising, anybody know why when none of the others are? Also, would I be able to upgrade from yellow to green with the mask, currently at 110m g.e The majority of RS have now heard about Chessy and want to get a rare before they plummet in price. Of course Chessy's little stash of rares do not effect the market at all, but the majority of RS are 11-15 years old so they don't understand that. That's my assumption.
  19. He was talking about Jagex not trying to fix the ID you get when logging in... Jagex has stated in one of their Q&A's that they are changing the ID system. It used to give you the highest ID if you had been logged on longer, so at least they fixed that.
  20. how does making them turn around hurt them? If I remember correctly, the golden hammer brings up an interface about Jagex winning some award. The bots probably shut down when that appears because they haven't been scripted to get around that interface.
  21. Bots have become too smart. Lately when I log on to F2P I can't tell if a player is botting or just new to the game. I'm sure somebody just starting off in this game will not know they are all bots. It just makes the game seem more popular with all the accounts logged on playing. Like it or not, bots are needed for the items they bring in to the game. No legit player makes teletabs, picks flax, mines and banks iron/coal, kills cows for hides, etc. Without bots prices would rise.
  22. Hope I don't get temp banned, but moderation on this forum are kind of hypocrites a lot of the time. inb4banned.
  23. People go in the wildy to PK. Most MMOs you gain nothing from killing another player but a K/D ratio. At least Runescape doesn't force you into PvP areas like the other MMOs out there.
