  1. It seems like several different bad-guy leaders in several different shows share a weird similar characteristic: It wouldn't be a far stretch to say that perhaps they are purposefully shaped as such to be similar to the German helmets during WWII. The reason for associating them with 'evil' should be pretty clear. So far the only ones I could think of off of the top of my head were... Old-style (first series) Megatron Old-style (first series) Cobra Commander Darth Vader All of the Zeonic Mobile Suits from Char's Counterattack (Sazabi, Geara Doga, Jagd Doga) [hide=Reference] All shamelessly copied from Google Images. Karil is obviously a Nazi too...[/hide] The trend isn't as apparent from just looking at these images as I'd have hoped, but if you've ever actually watched the source shows themselves you would more easily see it.
  2. WGS involves the Barrows Brothers briefly. [hide=Spoiler]Lucien raises them as part of his army of undead ancient warriors in the cutscene at his base at the Chaos Temple in the Wilderness.[/hide] Rewatch it, that's not them... :?
  3. If Defense was fine then pures wouldn't exist.
  4. I was thinking the same thing before I posted earlier, but it's as you said: That's the easiest way; not the best.
  5. I think they've mentioned somewhere that a lot of questlines have been planned out for years, so Wiki is probably little more than a helpful summarization site to them, as well as pointing out all of the different areas with plotholes, deadends, inconsistencies and the like. I don't agree that Fur and Seek was unwanted; it tied up a little quest years old rather nicely, which is what we really need now, rather than new questlines or small one-off quests only used for introducing a new feature. I'll take this and any other possible opportunity to remind you that we were originally promised EIGHT Dwarf quests years ago, upon the first's release; we may be getting the third tomorrow.
  6. Everyone is entitled to their own goals but I just don't see why you'd spend YEARS of your life for XP over the 99 mark. It really offers you absolutely no advantage except for prestige, which is often downgraded by others anyway. I can understand 99s. You get some sort of advantage, even if it is ever so slight. I've also seen a lot of potentially flimsy elements in RuneScape - as in, a new update wiping your XP (will happen eventually...), or being caught out as an autoer even if you obviously aren't (which I've heard is non-appealable). Plus, it pains me to think that JaGEx could easily raise all of an account's level XPs to max manually in just a few seconds, but that these players will spend chunks of their lives doing it. Gotta admit, though, #1 out of 1,000,000+ legitly is neat.
  7. Defense just needs to be made more useful in PvE. That, and Attack and Strength should be combined into just 'Melee', but I know that'll never happen, and it isn't particularly related to this anyway. Items like the Divine Spirit Shield need to be released in a way that they don't reach prices to where the average player will never see one in their entire RuneScape life. Oh, also, where are all of you getting this about another upcoming skill?
  8. 6/10. The colors seem a bit off... :-k
  9. 4/10... It's an orange cat, but it's not THE orange cat.
  10. Dark Koala22, gone for two to three years now... No going away message, no hinting, no coming back AT ALL during that time, no nothing. Was very popular around Catherby on world 70 while still playing, and was as high as rank 125 in Fishing, possibly higher, during that time. I miss Koo... Kooooooooooo! The only koala to fish sharks with bare hands... Paws?...
  11. Do you read or try to understand something before you go to try to insult somebody? I explained everything clearly. I will reiterate some points however: If you don't sell it, you lose everything you could have bought with the money you lost. That is not to say that I condone panic selling. We shouldn't have to fear what others are doing. Sure, you have an item now, you like the item now, but what if you want other items later? Once again, you lose out when you consider other items relevant to the value you hold now. Really what you're suggesting is that one should never buy an item if they don't want to chance an automatic and potentially huge loss of money. That, and, you must personally consider buying any item a permanent loss of that item's value, which I don't understand in the slightest. If that were the case then why would we not just buy items from stores and have no player-to-player trading and no way of redeeming value for our items? GP is a value by which everything else is measured. If there were no groups of people manipulating items, there wouldn't be any need for a safeguard such as I am suggesting. There needs to be natural price fluctuation, but not at the scale of what happens thanks to people purposefully controlling them. You would never lose as much as you can now in one day before the Grand Exchange was introduced. You would always be able to sell something eventually if you put enough effort into it, exactly because of what I am saying: you could not lose an unnaturally high amount due to other players, which also meant that people would not be as skeptical about buying things because they might lose money. These things worked in a cycle, and I'm sure that you've been around long enough to know exactly what I mean. I don't understand why you don't understand. Please do give me a personalized response rather than copy and paste insults.
  12. Should JaGex really be holding player's hands even more? There would be no risk in buying items when they first come out and allows people to buy any item without thinking of the consequences. Firstly, I said that, not Punitive D. Secondly, when we have manipulation clans, yes, the average player could use more help. There is lesser risk, but you don't seem to see that the player also won't get the benefit of a price rising. The consequences in question shouldn't exist in the first place, apart from the natural price fluctuations which are greatly covered up by manipulation now.
  13. Lol, if you keep your items, then you don't lose anything -- you still have the item. If, on the other hand, you're worried about net worth, then sell when things go up and buy back when they go down. More than considering net worth, some consider the amount they lost in relation to other items. Consider if the Armadyl Godsword fell the maximum it could in one day - you'd be out a whole set of Dharok's and maybe more. Personally I think that you should be able to freeze an item's value at what you bought it at. You don't profit or lose money and it ensures a sense of security.
  14. Nope  I was looking forward to seeing those dedicated people with a few hundred Abyssal Demon pets... :(
  15. Maybe this has already been answered, but can you have multiple menageries?
  16. Has anyone tried building two menageries yet?
  17. I was asking the same thing, but thinking about it, we'll have to wait for someone to get two of the same pet, so it may take a while to find out.
  18. Wait. Does it specifically state the limits anywhere? Can we only have one Menagerie? Can we have multiples of the same pets? 10 rooms of 10 Abyssal Demons... An army... Or! March of the Penguins! This is exciting and disappointing at the same time... How horrible.
  19. They're hittin' me where it hurts. Xil is back to nearly his original size. However, he still appears just so slightly above ground. It seems that they'll never get this right. I cannot go into normal mode, except by changing to it once inside the house, and then there are whiteprints everywhere for rooms. There is absolutely NO WAY I am going to alter anything in my house, let alone place 10 pets to all be swallowed up by some random glitch and have JaGEx say, "Well sorry, but there's no proof you had those. We're not replacing them." Invalid teleport! G-G-G-GAMEBREAKER! JAGEX IS OUT TO KILL YOUR PETS!!
  20. I've actually heard that Jagex is planning to release a Construction update over the next few months. I doubt it'll be anything worthwhile though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PJhVuP2AnA (Not embedding purposely.) [hide=][/hide] From that video. The contents of the video do not look very promising, however. The last thing we need is an update for an already balanced skill..... -.- -.- -.- Seriously Jagex. Your time could of been spent fixing firemaking, woodcut, fishing, farming, herblore, etc., though you decided to add content to a skill that has next to no holes in it from 1 to 99. I almost lol'd that this update actually came out today. Anyway, although I agree (as stated in my earlier post) that those skills need updates, I don't agree that Construction updates are 'the last thing we need'. In all skills we need useful updates and contrary to what I said earlier about thinking that the pet houses wouldn't be useful, it actually seems that they are. It's like a costume room for pets. :)
  21. So I saw this... And I got to thinking... ... :? A sailboat... And... :o :-# A SATANGRAM!

  23. The same customer, three times near eachother? Looking@inventory, supply changes between different pictures.
  24. Two things Jagex ruined that were better off left alone: Tok-xil in player dungeon (made it smaller than a player. was as big as the ones in the fight caves) and the Large orrery (made it small, it's like as wide as one bookshelf now...) Fond memory. Long lasting glitch after HD... Their 'fix'.
