yeah but games like WoW have been established to live up to that $15 a month cost. for the demographic that a lego game would entail.. it seems unlikely that anyone would go for such a high price, especially at release. i think a lego game would perform MUCH better as a f2p game with micro payments. Or a f2p game that used codes (for extra content) given on each lego set (in stores) to get stuff in game. now that would be a great business idea.

wait I'm sorry. this game seems like a huge joke now. not only do you have to order the game online but its also $10 a month. better yet they haven't released any information that would attract hardcore players -.-

i saw an ad for it in a gaming magazine quite awhile ago. i know it may be a bit childish but it seems like it might be a good game. plus, a fresh mmo from a company that has the resources to pump millions of dollars into a game should be interesting. i'm assuming the player base will be horrible, but check it out and discuss http://universe.lego.com/en-us/thegame/default.aspx

hey. i thought this would be a good topic for discussion, though quite overdue. Basically, as most of you know, when jagex increased the price of membership quite some time ago, they kept the rate at a fixed $5 (low end) for "loyal" customers who had been with them prior to the update. Has your loyalty rate ever stopped you from clicking "cancel membership"? It has for me, but in an odd way. I myself, like many other kids in america, get my mom to pay for my membership. she has been paying for it for.. at least 3 years on this account. For some reason though, whenever i feel like i'm finally done with this game i can't get the guts to cancel it. For one thing, i'd feel like an [wagon] asking my mom for her credit card if i ever wanted to start playing again, even on a whim. plus the extra $11.40 per year 'saved' by not canceling would also add up. As i just continually outgrow runescape i think that from a rational standpoint, actually canceling the membership would be the best for me. every one month that i didn't actually pay for runescape would compensate 5 months of the new price. has this affected anyone else's descision to quit?

i know its not like i'll be losing money.. but it's kind of annoying when i'm playing about 3 hours a week. i'll be praying for a rebound

hope everybody is avoiding the heat.. this summers brutal we've had almost a dozen official 90 degree days. i finally decided to start taking whey protein and doing p90x ab ripper. I've also modified my usual workout program for more weight and lower reps.also been bench pressing and doing pushups regularly. this week marks our first 35mile week of our training so now the running is tougher. i've actually gained about 2 pounds in my first week of taking protein and i can feel the extra energy, however it really does flare up my acne which has mainly been dormant for over two years now. its also worth mentioning that i'm seeing and feeling better abs in my 3rd week of p90x. theres also a new running store opening soon which is good because i desperatly need new shoes.

Runescape has been on the decline for quite some time now. of course, with only one 99 skill perhaps my opinion does not hold as much weight as those with multiple 99's.. but honestly i think runescape might be done for a year or two or three in terms of new skills. i'm not saying that new content is over (obviously) but i doubt any key game mechanics are going to be changed. 120 skills besides dung will never happen (and if they ever do happen, feel free to quote this post). If stellar dawn really takes off i can see the runescape team being cut down to about 20-40% of its current size aswell as the player base greatly declining( i understand the dev teams are completely seperate). enjoy the remaining years because before you know it you'll be looking back on runescape wondering why you stuck around for so long. MMOs from all over are stealing the spotlight. just about every mmo that comes out is stealing a small, even microscopic percentage of runescape's long term fan-base. jagex has surely realized that their time is limited and imo they timed an endgame skill perfectly.

Thank you for completely ignoring the question and making a pointless post. not a pointless post at all. 98% of people you talk to will also suggest diamond bolts, ranging potions, and maxing out your range attack, which is what i CLEARLY stated. your only going to get frustrated if you don't take my advice.

it is a bad idea. with 68 range i couldn't even hit the dagannoth mother wayyyy back in the day. pray that you can get your hands on a ranger set, some ranging potions, and diamond bolts (e)

my mistake on the exact pricing, i didn't have a converter handy. i know it was a bit shady that they didn't tell the location but its not like we're dealing with a random company with a bad reputation, this is jagex after all. and the price is completely reasonable imo, when lil wayne came to my city i splurged $138 for tickets. "why" you might ask? because i thought it would be cool to see a guy who was at the forefront of rap. not only was it an amazing show but now that he's in jail and won't be touring for a long time i feel like it was a "risk" worth taking. we live in a world where (at least in america) going to see a 3-d movie costs $11.25. its hard to order a filling meal from dominoes pizza without spending $14. you need to ask yourself if the price is worth it. when kanye west and lupe fiasco came to my city the ticket was only a modest $68. that was another great experience. and although it was 3 years ago this summer, i still remember it vividly. was it money well spent? YES. it was when kanye had GREAT songs along with lupe. i doubt kanye will tour again unless he has a breakthrough and lupe is giving up on rap after his next album. if i lived in the UK, i would have bought a ticket for runefest. you never know, by this time next year jagex could go bankrupt

well you could get great exp and make money doing broad bolts. time to go slay :thumbup:

Are you joking? spending $75 to go to an epic, possibly one time only, runescape event and meeting the creators of the game that controls many of our lives is hardly asking too much. if money was really that much of a problem you could have just canceled your membership for a few months and gotten cash together. to call it "offensive" is a complete overstatement. according to your logic, Jagex is wrong to charge 5.95 a month for membership and give the "richest" people who can afford it a better game.

how about new rewards/abilities based on EXP totals rather than levels? highscores for total level would be ridiculous if another 120 skill came out.. just give us new stuff at 15mil, 20mil, 30mil, 50mil exp if thats what people want. 105m= total mastery cape and then some super ability at 200mil exp. no more levels PLEASE
