if you are looking to get it to 90+, it is a great skill. otherwise its only good if you like to DIY

whenever i go to the wildy even just for a clue i'll usually bank ranger boots since theres no point to them. sometimes risking gear is necessary, not only for the offense but more for the defense sometimes.

Its nothing "special" per se. but it is a claim to fame which i can use to justify an unbearable amount of hours spend playing this game. its more special than, say, unranked firemaking.

I don't think i'm ready to make the claim until i near 1800 total level. i'm sure there are old school ranged tanks out there who haven't trained melee but as they trained more skills i'm guessing a lot of them went over to melee. undoubtably there are hundreds of maxed ranged tanks but how many have high total levels? especially since a tank can easily remain melee based with 66 str (minimum to be ranked).

That i have the highest total level in the game with unranked strength? I know i'm going on on a whim here but lately i've been starting to think that perhaps there is a decent chance of me being the highest, or one of the highest total leveled accounts with unranked strength. I'm 1722 total level, which really isn't that high especially compared to some of you. do any of you know of anyone with a higher total than me and unranked strength? this is all in good fun, please don't bash me for wondering here.

Seems pretty cool. i remember seeing a thread on the forums YEARS ago asking for different colored splats for personalized hits.. the guy said it would be useful for knowing damage on pest control portals.. oh the good ole days. edit: scrap the whole 0 and miss? you know that sounds awfully selfish coming from a guy who probably hates accounts with high defense.

i called the store.. first i asked what their hours were on Wensday and then i asked if they choked and deaf people lately. instead of hanging up the guy said that he had no knowledge of what i was talking about.

some of these posts were really harsh considering the OP is just asking for some honest advice, quite frankly who cares about what his goals are? i doubt any of you are certified personal trainers. Every teenager in america is under pressure to get sculpted arms and a 6 pack, you could just base it off that. edit: i have a pair of adjustable yorks that go up to 20 on each bar or 40 on one.

i just do ab ripper. the results are existent however somewhat mediocre after 6 weeks. if your not looking to lose weight, there are better fitness programs.

I love range. there are so many different weapon and armor combinations and its typically easy to defeat foes that mage and melee with the right gear setup. I've become so accustomed to range that on my 10 defense 84 str f2p pure that i've been training for over 4 years, i find it hard to have to run all the way up to a target before i can do damage. My second favorite skill is fletching, without a doubt. i always loved relaxing and fletching. 99 just kind of came naturally to me there was no real push to 99. now i'm at about 17.2mil fletching exp just from broad bolts. Broad bolts are great money but they also cause slayer to be very click intensive when i chose to fletch them. Honorable mention goes to magic. I'm only level 86 and i have gotten literally every level since 55 from pest control, alching, or quests. I haven't used it in combat since my early staking days, and i've never owned any great magic gear so basically i have yet to take full advantage of the skill. Still, i'm anxiously anticipating the day when i splurge for a SoL and great mage gear, it seems like mages have a blast, or, a barrage. (horrible pun intended) Farming also gets honorable mention.. i spent my first 10k dung points on the scroll of life. Its always fun to see how my crops are growing and such. i kinda feel like it might be time for a farming update though.

Once in awhile i go on botting forums- and i found an interesting post that apparently in the "debug" mode of one of the botting clients that people use, there is a red dot that tracks others players in your playing area and gives their names. A guy posted that in this debug mode, he actually found invisible j mods going to popular botting places and immediately banning people (he got banned). jagex is doing more than meets the eye. disclaimer: I haven't botted since my old main was banned in February '07

the only chance you'd have pking is if you decided to risk 5mil+ in fights and got some very lucky hits with dragon bolts. honestly once you get into the 100's (especially 105+) in pvp you can expect nearly everyone to have a 99 stat, turmoil, or vengence. your hp is also very low if you are indeed 103 combat.

Karil and Jude have been my favorite names spotted in game. i also think sir10death from w89 has a sweet name.

pro gear for high defense (also works as a good prayer flashing setup): zammy coif arma top arma bottom arma book/zammy book archers ring fury ranger boots archers ring (archers ring or oynx (i) for pros) avas accumulator (if prayer flashing and using zammy book, switch coif for arma helm) pro gear for high range/decent defense: zammy coif arma top arma bottom sara kite/bss archers ring fury ranger boots archers ring avas i've seen 99 range people using darts over rune cbow here but i'd stick with the cbow

i also (range) slay alot. sometimes even with my tank gear i find myself wishing i had a fury, but with that setup your first order of business should be a zerker ring since it has been proven that ROW's don't help much at all, and actually decrease your chances at some drops. also a firecape would be worthwhile to get. but besides those two, a fury should be your next upgrade, probably followed by a dfs for some tasks.

odd that you didn't mention your farming level. farm whatever herbs you can for your level (all are profitable last time i checked) while cutting yews or theiving. you should make 500k in the matter of a day.
