  1. Eating gives you a longer fight, making your fights more 'skill' (if you can call it such, more like timing and luck). So say you have 20 sharks, that heal 20 each. Thats an extra 400 HP taken, which your opponent will need to KO you (assuming you eat all). Now your attack level takes a meaning, rather than 2-4 lucky hits to kill you.. (184) I may not have explained this as clear as possible, but longer fights leave more room for a change up, different KO's, ect. It's ultimately more fun, and less based on luck.
  2. If you really really can't stand questing, get a Regen Bracelet.. Has an attack, defense, and strength bonus, and doubles your rate of HP recovery.. Like an infinite weak spinner or bunyip. The HP adds up, and has close stats to the rune. Best of all though would be to upgrade to Barrows gloves, and just finish RFD.
  3. Yep. Slayer gem + Gold Bar in a furnace with a ring mold. (And 75 Crafting didn't work while being assisted last time I tried.) Dragonstone would be way too expensive for crumbling to dust after only a few charges.
  4. All F2P teleports lead you to dangerous areas.. Except for Lumbridge teleport! Assuming they aren't [developmentally delayed], and want to live, they'll teleport to Lumbridge. Bring a few Lumbridge teleports with you, and attack them as they attempt to run.. You can attack in safe zones if they just got out of combat (run, teleport, ect.). Try it out. :)
  5. Attack to 95. Strength to 99. Then defense.. Just max out F2P why don't you? ;)
  6. Too bad the ZS will beat every aspect of the SS past 99 Strength at Waterfiends.
  7. Straight Duradel. You'll be glad you did in the long run anyways.
  8. Use Kent's guide for the costs.. Shouldn't be much, assuming you swap unused pouches. As for combat levels, that's a matter of your own preference. But I say getting summoning as soon as possible will only be beneficial, so why not? And it won't matter past 100 Combat anyways.
  9. You are overexaggerating the speed of the SS/ZS. The Mace is only slightly slower, and deals slightly less damage, not even close to "half". With either a Mace and Prayer book (+10 Prayer) or Rune Defender (+78 Attack and +65 Strength, as well as the +5 Prayer), he'll be getting close to the same stats as both Spear and Sword anyways. And even if he were to go for 99 Slayer, he is trying to efficiently train his defense, as compared to more unneccessary experience in strength.. EDIT: SS and Z Spear are the same speed. If losing out on the defense XP is more worth faster Slayer XP, then just go for the SS/ZS. I thought you were just trying to get the best defense XP as possible, which was my arguement.
  10. For training purposes (Defense wise, not HP or Summoning). It would be much smarter to use another weapon with strictly a defense option, as it will more than double the rate of your defense training.. That's the only reason I suggested he try a Dragon mace, as he's in the same situation as you. Which is why I recommended it. And for only slayer training there, try it for a trip and test it out youself on your next task.
  11. Dragon Mace has an Attack, Strength, and Defense training style on it. It isn't as slow as you may think. It gives a +5 Prayer bonus, is One handed (allows for prayer book, another +5 prayer bonus), and has a decent attack/strength bonus.. Give it a try before you say no. It works quite well there.
  12. Just to sum this up quickly.. Barrows weapons blow for training.. Slow, Two handed, and not even very strong. Use a whip on controlled for affordable, smart, and solid training.
  13. Only gives +5 Prayer Bonus. Nothing to Attack/Defense. And it requires all 4 pages to get any other bonus' (this applies to all three books).
  14. The problem/reason why they take so long to sell is because they aren't usually sold in sets.. Don't make that mistake while speculating. And don't only look at big items like those sets, or expensive/high priced items.. Because you will make more from other small items rising in small percents, rather than a 600k set rising 10k a day.
  15. It's been a rule of thumb to summon a BoB, with a Healing/Fighting Summon inside.. And summon your healer/fighter once your BoB timer runs out.. Assuming you make your trips long enough of course, but past 79 summoning, you should be able to last that long.
  16. It's always been a goal to get 3rd Age Platelegs.. Doubt it would happen, but whats wrong with having goals? If you are looking to make your moneys worth though, at it's fastest, the Tribal Junk method makes ~1M+ and hour..
  17. Loyal or not, Tip.It only has a guide for Mummies in the CT. I believe Zybez has a full guide on them.. If you want to go look.
  18. Yeah but if he did that he'd probably want junk to sell the 3rd Age Armour, so same problem. I'm stuck on how to get junk too tbh, I don't think there IS a really awesome way to get lots (mils) of junk fast for little effort. If I could ever get my hands on any third age.. I'd have no intentions of selling (only upgrading), but thats just me. And there is a method of using Tribal items as junk.. Which gathers ~700k/hr in junk.. Read up on it in the AoW. It still works.
  19. Just do Natures until 50.. You only have one level left, and it shouldn't take long. But for XP in the future, do ZMI, or get 58 summoning, and use Ghraak for Natures.. The GOP is good XP with a good team, but ZMI and Ghraak are better.
  20. Attempt to get some 3rd Age Armor with them.
  21. Thats quite a stretch for two completely not related items.. Sure, many things will fluctuate after the PvP updates, as a result of other peoples speculation.. But that will always happen with any speculation.
  22. Yes. Because the whip speed is so fast, deals high damage, and is accurate, it will save you time training attack and defense in the future.. Whip on controlled is better than using a Dragon scimitar + Defender or Saradomin Sword for strength, and then whatever else for attack and defense.. And it's also good to have your melee stats somewhat close, to be a balanced warrior.. Strength really is overrated, and once you max it out, you will probably decide to train attack and defense too, so why not?
  23. If he is safespotting though, he won't need the Anti-fire shield, because he won't be hit by dragonfire.. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think Elvarg has a ranged firebreath attack..
  24. Not exactly 'honest', but you could run to the mage spot on a server with people already on it, and hop.. Crashing other teams often causes a lot of chaos and confusion for them, and people can die very easily.. And you need to hope to be lucky when you log in under your next server.
  25. In terms of PvP strategy.. ZGS: -Not a neccesity for 70/82/94 Mage and Ancients (Ice Spells on Ancient Magicks) -Freeze as long as Barrage spell -Better accuracy than Barrage.. Not only because it's a melee attack, but the high attack bonus' godswords have (At 99 Attack, it will hit often enough to satisfy). This will allow you to back up, range your opponent, stop them from running from you (seems to be a new issue with the way the new wilderness is set up! Doesn't work vs. Range/Mage) ect.. Uses 60% of Special bar (almost allows you to get 2 specs in a long PvP fight). BGS: -Lowers defense -Cheaper by a few (4M currently) -For average combat; more useful as it will allow you to hit more often, no matter how you fight your opponent. Uses 100% of Special Bar.
