"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I can appreciate well designed or well thought out tattoos. Especially when they're not invasive. For the most part though, I find them trashy and disgusting. Saying that, it depends on context. If it's just a 4F's situation, I won't care. But if it's for a relationship, I'd seriously consider.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
I feel sorry for the guy who posted his 'high morale' captain a couple of pages back. Just got a 10k chime captain. Turns out this one's a winner. 10k chimes well spent. Improved speed, combat and seafaring.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
Yeah, failing still gives you the distance, just means extra cost. Not sure if that applies if you fail a mission very quickly though, but yeah. I do also regret skipping quite a few voyages recently. Only just hit 50%, so going to take a while to get to The Scythe. On the plus side, I'll have some extra time to get upgrades and better captains.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
That reminds me of a point that came up today. I was listening to the radio, and new EU law has come into effect that means gender makes no influence on car insurance. Women generally paid lower premiums and such on insurance, and now, the prices will be the same for Males and Females (this of course being a rise of female prices, not lowering of male prices). The amount of people who talk about equality and THEN said 'but it's unfair' is absolutely abhorrent. If you want gender equality, you can't just have the bits that suit you - you take the good with the bad. What you are claiming is unfair is actually the exact definition of 'fair', that is, to be equal or of equal measure. If you want gender equality, that means everything is equal. If you're taking the bits that benefit you and complaining put you at disadvantage, then don't support gender equality. It's literally as simple as that. You CANNOT have your cake and eat it. And I don't even drive, or have a car, that's just how angry this makes me.

What even? Tiered memberships for bonus perks
Why are you still on these forums if you hate the game? Attention whoring has no specific realm. D. V. Has just chosen here. I don't buy subscriptions in a big package because I'm often not sure I'll continue playing for a month. But, if someone is certain they'll play for a year, they should definitely go for it. ~ H. O. 11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
Yeah you can. Unfortunately, there's no guarantee of a retry the next day, so I don't particularly want to waste this attempt. But to be honest, I prefer upgrading the ship rather than the crew, so I'm not particularly pressed either way. I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Updates and Stuff
I've taken a long absence away from Tip.It, so thought I'd update a bit on my progress. Firstly, as surprising as it seems, especially to myself, I have reached 'Max Total' (or rather, what Jagex define as Max). The last levels to get are the 7 longest levels I've had to undertake - including zmi Runecrafting. In the time I've been absent, that means I have reached 99 Summoning, Farming and Dungeoneering - some of my least favourite skills. Dungeoneering grew on me for a bit, and I have now lost motivation to train it again - whereas my interest in RuneScape has been renewed with Player Owned Ports. The goal from here on is simply to finish up some quests that I really should have finished a long time ago. Desert Treasure and Temple at Sennisten to name a couple, as well as to increase my bank value, after having paid through the nose for several things (99 farming twice included). Strangely, my interest in playing the game really stems from Player Owned Ports, and I thusly only login to do voyages - that is, I play a game within a game. Anyway, that's it for now.

11-Dec-2012 - Player-Owned Ports
There's going to be an issue for me with the Barmaid's gossip. It replaces the third voyage... and the third voyage (I was intending to save it until I can hit at least 85% minimum, 75% atm) is the Chimera Straits voyage. Rather frustrating. Oh well, it's a fantastic update.

19-Dec-2012 - A Stray in a Manger [Christmas Event]
Lol'd. Back on topic, I haven't done a festive event in years, and despite the free 200k hunter xp, I can't see myself doing this either.

What book are you currently reading?
I'm now reading Bel-Ami (Guy de Maupassant). A much tougher but more rewarding read than the books I've read as of late.

London 2012 Olympics
He was a good athlete, but he's slipping. The 4x 200m relay was won by his team - he was the only person to lose ground over the other teams. As much as I want to say congratulations, I can't really without feeling that he relied on his team to do all the work to make him 'the greatest olympian ever'.

when does a skill stop being "low?"
90+. Saying that, I still have 66 dungeoneering.

What are you listening to right now!?
Overseer - Insectocutor Dub

how many warning points do you have?
0 points, seems rather obvious though.

What book are you currently reading?
So I bought a load of French books whilst in Paris, including all the Harry Potter books... Since returning, I've managed to read 1 & 2 (à l'école des sorciers and et la chambre des secrets), currently making my way through #3. It's interesting to read and then pick up the rules and structures of a different language especially since, for me, it seems to open up new 'channels' of thought in my own language.

European Football Championship
As much as I know Spain are the better team, and as much as I hate Italy for beating England (though supporting England should mean that I'm used to disappointment), I still want Italy to beat Spain so that Spain don't get three championships in a row...

What's a good workout for lower abs?
There is no such thing as 'lower abs'. The abs work as a unit, you can't just train one half of them, that's not how it works. The muscle layer you're thinking of is perhaps the transverse abdominis, which are used in things used leg raises and knee raises. If you think the lower section of your abs are less toned, that'd be because the short term (easier) storage for body fat is kept around that area. In terms of strength, you'll just have to do an all around ab workout, that includes things like weighted side crunches, weighted crunches etc. Also, when you do compound exercises like Pull-ups, Benchpress and squats, they all require to some degree control of your abdominals and back muscles.

Fair enough :) I retract my previous statements! Guess I'll go and make use of my University's language scheme in August then :P

Languages
I hate to be a pedant, especially in a language that isn't my mother tongue, but 'mais j'ai oublié' needs a direct object pronoun to make sense, i.e. 'mais je les ai oublié' ('I have forgotten them'). At least, I think so. Any French speakers feel free to correct me! I'm not trying to be a dick, just trying to help! :) Forgot to add, back in secondary school, I learnt French continuously (I say 'learnt' in the loosest sense, I forgot almost everything as soon as I started Sixth Form). I restarted back in November, and have progressed very well. Having a lot of free time really helps.

Languages
English fluently (and if I may say so, pedantically at that). I'm currently learning French, and my reading far excels my listening and speaking. But, I am making progress, which is the most important thing really.

What book are you currently reading?
Since the weather's been decent (unusually so), I've been reading some of the books I've been putting off. Read a bit more Machiavelli's Discourses on Titus Levy, and as I'm learning French, I've got some French books. The most obvious of which is Le Petit Prince... But I'm halfway through a parallel text book (short stories with the left page in French and right page in English, which is great for learning extra vocabulary, and sentence structure), and have 'Un sac de billes' (A Bag of Marbles) by Joseph Joffo and 'Quinze Minutes' by Charles Dickinson. As I'm heading off to Paris next weekend for two weeks, I'm going to be buying some French literature, so far I have only managed to think of 'The classics' (Les Misérables, Les Trois Mousquetaires, Le comte de Monte-Cristo etc.), as well as books such as those by 'Fred Vargas' e.g. Pars Vite et Reviens Tard (English: Have Mercy on us All) If anyone has any suggestions on quality books, I would be highly appreciative!

Best Antiviruses
I use Symantec Endpoint - it's very effective, and doesn't destroy your performance. However, it's not free either.
