  2. If I were Christian, these bands would be aural terrorism and conjured by Satan himself.
  3. A game to look forward too, how delightful! Now, all they need to do is get back on the right track and make Warcraft IV.
  4. most progressive metal/rock bores me to tears.
  5. Come on, a couple of months ago you agreed that Meddle and Wish you were here were good records as well. Indeed, even dead bands can have quality records. I'll always consider Meddle to be an odd exception and WYWH sounds more like recollecting the old days, although the title track borders on country sometimes. Not a real problem, though. I'm not denying my approval of these records, I do like them, but Pink Floyd was effectively dead after Syd had left. They seemed just to be 'Floyd'.
  6. I don't, and I apologise to say that I am not Geoffrey or Thomas. :-(
  7. pink floyd died when syd left and they weren't even that good then.

  9. so does slipknot? No I don't think so, if that answers your question. Haha, bravo! Good joke. =D>
  10. I got two. Song:Quintessence Artist: Darkthrone Album: Panzerfaust or Song:Cloudburst Flight Artist: Tangerine Dream Album: Force Majeure
  11. Hey. You watch movies too. What do you generally watch and what kind of movies do you like to see? I watch movies occasionally, but I'm not particularly knowledgeable. i generally watch horror and scifi movies, but I'll usually be down for anything. I wish I could see more good movies, but I enjoy horror and scifi...even if they're filled with mostly atrocious movies. (redundancy!).
  12. the best way to describe the new song: storm of the light's bane-era dissection fused with late (post-in the nightside eclipse) emperor. in all honestly, i'm not a fan, i loathe (perhaps just dislike sotlb) the aforementioned eras of those particular bands and a fusion just doesn't work for me. one complaint is perhaps the lack of originality that plagues 99.9% of most post-1996(?) metal bands but as a young band in an era (of metal) like this...it's just progress towards crafting your sound. either way, it's good to see someone referring back to the classics for a sound, but it didn't work for me personally. best of luck with your band though. edit: oh yes, i must praise you guys for not going the novelty route.
  13. Recently, I've watched Blade Runner, Spellbound and Cube. Blade Runner was rather impressive and I was quite stoked to see it due to its rather great soundtrack. I'd say it was great, nice plot and it looked pretty with all those effects! It was a bit lacking though! 4/5 Spellbound was rather surreal and compelling. About a 4, but it has Gregory Peck in it! 4.5/5 Cube was for a lack of better word... depressing. I couldn't finish the movie due to extreme boredom and I started to get really depressed. In fact, I contemplated suicide for a while. So, I turned off the movie, took a nap and decided I needed to finish it. I took some antidepressants and finished it. Pointless and pretentious; to put it bluntly, it sucked and I'm going to murder the friend who told me to watch this. .5/5.
  14. perhaps. although i wouldn't suggest riff salad for mending relationships personally.
  15. I still remember when I heard it come on XM-Radio while my mom was listening to the 80's station in the car. I told her to turn it up and she had no idea why. Also am I the only one who thinks crank dat is pretty catchy? Anyone who thinks the guy is actually serious should really rethink it a bit. yah trick yah! soulja boy's music does what it does and is meant to do: entertain. it does it quite well too.

  17. I'm glad you did. I try to deliver every post I write and it's good to know my work is making it to the brains of the readers. Let's be blunt and abrupt: Rubbish.
  18. a dead carcass smells worse when its rotting.
  19. Looks like he's doing just fine.
  20. Die in a fire. D: Ok, anyways, on topic: whats the appeal behind soad anyways?
  21. Tangerine Dream's Phaedra really got me into electronic music.
  22. Oh yes, can't forget The Cure!
  23. I must say that I haven't listented to a lot of things. The 'family friendly' stuff doesn't really interest me. And the more 'brutal' stuff just doesn't really appeal to me; I can't really take it very serious, but I don't think it's funny either. Some things that do appeal to me are Crowbar, Sunn O))), Mastodon. There's always the more rock-oriented stuff like Legend and Manilla Road or sludge-like stuff like Neurosis. An album I do invite you to try is Hvis Lyset Tar Oss by Burzum, it has Varg's shrieks and whatnot, but is hardly brutal.
  24. Mingus and Dolphy are always nice.
