Nintendo is doing an FPS you know. Called Splatoon. I am actually rather interested in this, brings lots of innovation to the table and seems fun. Wii U has lots of great games. I actually prefer the Wii U controller to any other controller of the previous gen (PS3, X360), maybe more than those of any other current, since I haven't tried them. The gamepad is unbelievably comfortable actually.

My brother just bought a Wii U today. It is a pretty amazing piece of hardware. And that SSBU and new Zelda coming out next year, Wii U should be an easier sell than PS4 or Xbone. Lots of quality titles are already out. Super Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, ZombiU, Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2 shall be a Wii U exclusive and many kids and party games have best versions on Wii U. Nintendo ain't selling on graphics but you gotta admit they do make fun. PS: Almost bought the collectors edition of Mario Kart 8, with the statue of the blue shell :D
  3. Ain't getting any news from me, I am up in the North (Norway), 20 miles from nearest habitation with no car. Even Tinder can't help me here, seen a few people and all at least 50 miles away. Needless to say, kinda difficult to see anyone.
  4. Bought Gran Turismo 6. Awesome so far. And completely different from GT5.
  5. He isn't. I am really happy with the result. And a bit amazed by how much punishment Schweinsteiger went through.
  6. I think Lucas or Ness gets added. My brother might buy a wii u this summer, so there is a chance I might be able to play this.

What is that few thousand years old you are talking about? :D Our nation started pretty much in the 1850's. Before we were just slaves, and we called ourselves the "countryside people". Our first independence came in 1918. Our country ain't even a century old. In other news, today we got the internal antenna installed. Internet speed has quadrupled :) Ping is a bit too high still, around 90 and we have a monthly data gap of 16 gb...

Lol, we have way more than just for 3 days straight :D We had the Singing Revolution in the 80's and 90's, where we sang ourselves free from the Soviet Union. Or well, so we like to think. Anywho, then we had a month in summer of '89 where every single evening people gathered at the same field and sang national songs. We have tens of composers who have created national music. And choral music is a lifestyle here.

You 'muricans don't even have national songs...

Okay, so 153 000 was the amount of tickets sold for the Song Festival. Add the 31 000 singers and probably about half of the 10 000 dancers of the Dance Festival and so it makes up a good 15% of the population singing national songs at one time in one spot. And that wasn't a one day thing, the spectacle lasted for a week for dancers and 3 days for singers. Pretty [bleep]ing huge event, don't you think? And awesome human waves.
  11. Yeah, well, it is an honor aswell, but it was the school flag, not the national flag and as I said, they have a flag that is meant for carrying, which is much lighter. But I got the heavy one only used indoors. My back is still [bleep]ed so badly that I can't even sit upright or walk for longer than a few minutes.
  12. The fact that I [bleep]ed up my back carrying and waving a flag which was not meant to be carried for over 3 miles. [bleep]ing hallroom flag, made of dual-layer velvet, with long fringes... It was more than double the weight of the national flag my mate carried. And noone was willing to switch with me. Also I got vesicles on both of my feet... But it was worth it!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ox72IFFxF4 This is the main concert from today. I was on stage for the last 1,5 hours plus another half an hour that wasn't broadcasted... I am visible on quite a few close-ups. In the last 30 mins you can see how the whole field is standing up, everyone from ages 9 months to a 98-year old wheelchair bound old man, standing up on his son and a cane, half the field is crying, men and women. The concert was viewed by well over half the population of our country. Next festival is in 5 years. I suggest you start booking flights. It is the 150th anniversary of the festival.
  14. I hadn't even noticed it, but it does look like it indeed :D

You looking for a project X? In other news, as any of you might have heard anything about the Singing Revolution or anything, we are having our Song and Dance Festival right now. Comes once every 5 years, this year ~31000 singers, ~10500 dancers, there have been 122 000 tickets sold and the main concert is tomorrow. In comparison, our population is 1.2 million, so around 12% of our total population is on one field. The whole place looks like this: And that is just the singers from the main REHEARSAL, where there was at least a quarter missing. And this is what that place looked like from my spot on the arena today: That truly is the party for the people. Everyone is singing national songs, dancing folk dances, wearing folk clothes from their home neighbourhood. Lots of Estonians who have through times moved elsewhere in the world, come together for this festival and all disagreements are forgotten. Hundreds of second or even third-generation Estonian Americans use this event to come to the place of their roots and to uphold their culture. Different types of choirs and even some orchestras all over the country come together to this one place, people of all ages, political beliefs or whatever. Who can't come, watches the whole thing live on national tv. It is broadcasted on radio, tv, all news outlets, everything. The whole country works for whole thing. Our premiere conductors come to this event. For free. Conductors like Eri Klas and Neeme Järvi, who have conducted most major American orchestras and Berlin Kammerorkestra among others. They are privileged to come here. The whole event is free for the performers aswell, who also get free transport from their hometowns and free accommodation, board and transport in the city for the duration of the festival. Ticket price is as low as it is possible to make and the thing has boatloads of larger and smaller sponsors. You can't be a successful and loved corporation in here and not donate for the song festival. And come on, check this pic of orchestras: Every single person on that picture plays an instrument. And again, that is just during the rehearsal. Our president held a speech and then made a selfie on the stage with the singers. It is trending on numerous outlets right now, you might notice it around. I am a singer for the alumni choir of my high school. And as I am tall, handsome and sporty, I were to be the one to carry a flag. Now a bit better pic of me with the flag is on the RL pics thread, but here is a pic of me in action: During certain songs, most of the field cries. It is such holiness, such common connection, feeling of being a nation that I haven't ever felt otherwise. I also travelled across the sea to get to this festival. I had to take free days off from work, just so I could come here. And I don't regret a single cent that I have lost.

To the topic a few pages back: If I'd post every single time I went to a party last schoolyear, I'd been posting pretty much every day. Right now, for the past week I have been to Norway, working. Going to the Song Festival tomorrow, being in my homeland for the weekend and coming back on Monday. Finally got internet here today aswell. Still [bleep]ing boring, all summer here, just working. But it will be a nice relief and change from my normal lifestyle. And for the first time, I am going to have my friends going over.

Actually I don't think so and I haven't heard of that happening. Even the scum of the society celebrates this day.
  19. Aye, that was the stuff I needed. Thanks.
  20. Well it is hard to get deeper friends if you don't have common interests. For example, if you both like to play, have a LAN party. Go fishing. Do something else aswell. That would be my best advice in this situation. There must be something you both like to do. And that kiss ain't what I was looking for, I knew that. I mean, what after kiss?
  21. I should have rather said that I am [bleep]ing oblivious. I have no troubles holding a conversation with pretty much anyone. My parents suggested me learning to be a diplomat, because I am good with people. I can chat with a hot girl all day and I can hold hands, I just don't know what to do next. And I definitely worry too much about what I am thought of. But yeah, the reason I posted this is that I have met quite few hot and nice chicks and spent time with them as well, but I haven't gotten further than a date. And frankly, even if I took someone to see movies at my place, I have absolutely no idea how to act then. That has happened that way before, mind you. A girl invited me over. We slept in the same bed. She told me to be more straightforward and do whatever I wanted. I just didn't know what to do and still don't know. So that way, muggi, your help was absolutely different from what I really need.
  22. Today, I acquired: Simcity 4 Rise of Nations Warhammer 40K Dawn of War C&C Generals (with Zero Hour) Summer of gaming awaits. Almost through the warrior class in NOX. [bleep]ing awesome game. The reason why I am acquiring all those games (old games) now is that I am looking at a summer without internet and my laptop can't pretty much play anything newer than from 2005.
  23. Curse me and my fear of taking actions.

Tomorrow is the most important summer holiday in my country. EVERYONE goes to the countryside, lights a huge bonfire, goes for a sauna and a swim and definitely lots and lots of alcohol. It is one of the 3 no-expenses spared holidays in the life of an average Estonian, the others are birthday and Christmas. And I don't have a solid plan yet.
