  1. Hello, and sorry for the late reply. :) To business: I'm afraid you're mistaken. Several crewbies studied her attack patterns when the quest was first released, as there was a dispute at the time over whether or not she had a magic attack. Ranged was found to certainly be her primarily method of attack, as it was both the most common and accurate of all her attack styles. Also, prayer switching during the fight is of little use, since her cycle of weaknesses isn't uniform (she doesn't have a defined pattern like the previous Dagannoth Mother) and there is little time to spare between having to continuously switch attack styles and eat throughout the fight. -------------------------------------- Concerning your boss fight method, thank you for taking the time to post it. :) However, I believe the steps we currently have listed in the quest guide are satisfactory and don't necessarily need to be revised at this time. Thank you again for your time and effort, but I will not be making any changes to the quest guide.
  2. Heya. :) The following note can be found in the portion of the guide concerning the boss fight: I believe this more or less summarizes your suggestion (please correct me if I'm mistaken), in that it discusses eliminating the Mother's melee attack by keeping at a distance and praying against one of the two remaining combat styles. The rest of the boss-battle section, I believe, covers the other necessary information for the fight adequately. Thank you for you submission, but I don't believe any change is necessary. Please feel free to pm me if you would like to discuss this further, and thanks again! :)
  3. It looks like the note was removed at some point, however, I can say with certainty that she will not cycle through her weaknesses if you neglect to use one of the three required combat styles (melee, ranged, and magic) during the fight. For example, in my first attempt to kill her, I only brought Balmung and a Crystal bow, and as a result, the cycle stopped at the "fire elemental spell" weakness for about 3-4 minutes before I teleported away. I can see how that note could have been misleading, so that's probably why it was removed. Anyway, thanks for your time, but the change was previously made. I'm sorry for the late reply, by the way. :(
  4. I can confirm this information. Kamen can essentially be used as an unlimited food source, so the Agility level penalty acts to balance this; I know it can be a tough choice for players, as both food and a decent Agility level are vital to completing this quest. Anyway, I've made a slight change to step 15 and have added a note in the "Tips and Tricks" section to reflect this. Your name has been added to the credits in addition to this, of course. :) Thanks!
  5. You can indeed! :) Thank you for bringing this to our attention; I've made the change and have added your name to the credits accordingly. ;)
  6. Alright, after reviewing everything, I've incorporated the first suggestion into the guide by changing the note's wording. Thanks for that, by the way; it's very useful to mention. The second suggestion, however, presents a bit of a problem. I lean towards believing that the pouches are dropped in sequential order, but I've heard too many claims from both sides to be certain. This actually reminds me of the debate from a few years back over whether or not the small pouch could degrade. That debate took a ridiculously long time to quell, and very little of value was gained as a result, so I hope you can understand why I'm loath to add this as a note or research it further. :o I ultimately don't believe it merits the effort to confirm, so I'm afraid I won't be making any changes here. 'My thanks to Neohero1972 for the submission, and to the rest of your for the interesting discussion. Cheers! :)
  7. Thank you very much for catching that; it was indeed a mistake. The typo has been fixed and the quest guide re-released. Thanks again! ;)
  8. As Paw_Claw has pointed out, the 'Ring of life' item requirement is listed in all of the proper places. Thank you, though, for coming to us with something you thought needed corrected. Your time is greatly appreciated. :)
  9. I completely agree. I expected the temporary bans to at least last for 6+ months; I can only hope Jagex realizes how ineffective anything else will be. :???: To be honest, they should also remove any enchanted bolts still in the banned players' possession, although I highly doubt they will. If it were my decision to make, anyone who made over 1 million coins (arbitrary, I know) in enchanted bolts would be permanently banned, while the rest would be banned for the remainder of the year. Any enchanted bolts found in the banned accounts would of course be removed, whether the bolts had been obtained through the glitch or otherwise.
  10. Hey there. :) At the moment, we have the following note in the guide's 'Tips and Tricks' section: Cannon usage wasn't expanded upon in the guide since it generally is too much of a hassle (cannonballs are expensive, use of the cannon requires that you sacrifice 5 inventory spaces, you're forced to reload the cannon continuously while being teleported around, etc, etc...). While there are some advantages to using one, we feel that the problems caused at the same time more or less outweigh the benefits. Because of this, I'm afraid we won't be updating the guide with this information, however, we thank you for the suggestion and the time you took to post it here. :)
  11. Thank you VERY much for the information. The item entry was hidden (unreleased); it appears that we had been missing some important data on the helmet, but your submission has satisfied that nicely. (The released item can be found here, by the way: Full slayer helmet (charged) We've added you to the credits, and you have our sincere thanks for contributing. 'Cheers! :) Heh, don't worry about it. It's not a problem at all, trust me. :P Thanks again!
  12. Thank you very much, Codguy! 'A wonderful bit of research there. :) This confirms my suspicions that Shadow Warriors are mediocre charm droppers, so I'll be locking this thread now. Jaffy1, if you have anything to add or dispute, please don't hesitate to pm me; I'll be happy to hear you out. Cheers, everyone. :)
  13. I promised myself that I wouldn't get involved any further, but I suppose there's no helping it. I'll leave one last post on the matter, since apparently I lack self-control, heh. Dizzle, I sincerely hope that neither you nor any members of your family who feel the same way EVER come into any sort of authoritative power. It's blatantly obvious that all of you lack compassion for your fellow man and have a sadistic streak running through your family. I sincerely wish this was a gross exaggeration on my part, but after seeing several of your quotes, I have to wonder. ...really? If you honestly can't see what's wrong with that statement, then there's nothing more that I can say; there's no use addressing the rest of your post if you truly feel this way. It's ridiculous that I have to try to explain this at all. :? ------------------------------- Nick_6464, if you want to troll/insult me, then please do so properly. I'm sure you can do much better than saying that I lack this "Logic Sydrome" of yours. As for the rest of your post, please refer to Riku3220's post; he's given answers similarly to those I would write, and in far fewer words. I'll leave on the note that you seem to equate justice with escalating retribution, and I can only hope that you change your mind on this one day, for the sake of everyone you come in contact with.
  14. [hide=Previous Conversation] If that's true, then I'm worried for your family. Certainly, she was in the wrong for what she was trying to do, but your family's actions were a bit... extreme, to say the least. Why is that extreme? If she succeded in taking the business, we lose our biggest asset. She tried to ruin us, and she got bit in the [wagon] for it. Like I said, I agree that she was in the wrong. However, planning to burn down the house if you had lost the case? Viciously trying to ruin her after you won? I would definitely call that extreme. I'd even go so far as to say that it's childish ("If I can't have it, then nobody can!"), to be honest. Revenge and petty hate don't solve anything. Nonononono, we won, so we didn't burn it down. But the point is that she was ONLY with the guy so that she could take it. She didn't deserve the business/house/cash, and legally it wasn't hers, so why should she have it? She was a bad person, and she wasn't going to get rich because of a lie she told everyone. It wasn't. "if we cant have it nobody can", it was "the dishonest [bleep] sure as hell isn't getting it". [/hide] So everything's "OK" because you won the case and didn't have to set fire to the house? Honestly, that fact that you were considering doing such a thing out of spite doesn't strike you as a bit psychotic? Yes, I'm entirely sure she was a wicked, evil person who deserves all the punishment you can possibly wreck upon her. I'm not in any position to judge (hell, I don't know her in the least), but I can definitely say that the world isn't so black and white. Perhaps she had wronged your family, but as another human being (and one without any support, apparently), she deserves some token respect, at least. I'm sure there's more to the story than you've presented, but even if there's not, no one should be treated with such hostility. To be honest, the animosity you're exuding is fairly leaping off the page at me; everything about your original post practically screams "EXTREME". How is that not the same thing? Either way, you had no intention of giving it up from the start, even if you had to resort to arson (illegal and generally linked to psychopathy, fyi) in the end. Look, I can appreciate that such a long trial must have been taxing; undoubtably, it must have been a very trying time for you all. However, is winning simply not enough? It seems to me that your family wanted not only to win, but to also ensure that the woman lost terribly. Is it truly necessary to kick the loser while they're down? Sure, it probably cost your family quite a bit to fund the fight in court, but she had to bear the same burden (albeit alone, mind you, and without the benefit of winning at the conclusion). You won and she lost, so can you not just let the issue go at that? Simply because you won and found yourself in a position of power, does not mean that you're "right" or "just" in stomping someone weaker than you (the loser) into the dust. To pull a somewhat cliche example from history, the Treaty of Versailles, which ended WW1, levied on the German people an impossible burden; it was far too extreme in demanding reparations (the British and French thought to take their revenge through it), and so ultimately became the kindling for WW11. Such oppression, such petty revenge, can only lead to more and more problems. To be perfectly honest, from what I've read of the situation, your family has caused far more injury than the woman ever could have. That's not to say that she was in the right, but you certainly did nothing to stay your hand after getting "even"; I sympathize with her far more than I do your family. And by the way, "she started it" is not a legitimate excuse for going as far as you did in ruining her (just in case you were thinking of saying so). *EDIT* I realize this has all been off-topic, so I'll stop here if you truly can't see how your actions were extreme and unjust. I find it disturbing how far your family's willing to go for the sake of revenge (in addition to demonizing the woman whose life you've now wrecked), but we've gone too far off track here.
  15. 17. It appears that another Crewbie has already made the addition to the entry and credited the two of you. Heh, he/she must have forgotten to leave a reply here, but there's been no harm done. :P 'Cheers, and thanks for your help. :)
  18. It's probably as Mil says; our listed GE prices can be off by a bit while the Exchange is updating. Thanks for taking the time to notify us, but everything's working fine. You certainly have sharp eyes, though. :P
  19. Thanks for your hard work, but as SportsGuy said, we can only use high-quality images (saving the original images in .png format is the simplest method to ensure that quality isn't lost). Also, I should mention that the Crew works quite diligently on update days, so it may be best for you (and others) to wait a couple days before submitting new information, as we probably already have it. It sometimes takes awhile for our changes to become available on the live site, so it can be hard to tell what we need from the outside, I know. :( If we need help with anything in particular, a Crewbie will create a thread on the main WU&C board, so look out for these if you're looking to assist us! Otherwise, it's probably best to assume that we have everything we need; we're always very happy to have users correct our work after it's released, however. ;) Thanks again for your efforts. I look forward to your help in the future! :)
  20. I agree with Codguy, for the most part. I'll keep this open in the hopes that the two of you (and perhaps others who read this) will come forward with addition information, as I'm not certain of the truth of the matter (I haven't killed any Shadow Warriors since I first accessed the Legends' Guild, which was long before Summoning was released). I suspect that Shadow Warriors are a poor source of Crimson Charms compared to many other monsters (and so would not warrant a note in the entry), but I could very well be wrong. It'll be interesting to see the results of the research. :)
  21. I agree that dragons seem to drop Green Charms more often than the other colours, however, they are generally not considered to be a good source of charms in comparison to other monsters (probably since they're typically high-level monsters, and players who kill them usually neglect picking up the charms in favour of keeping a few extra hides/bones). Players seeking Green Charms would be much better off killing other monsters, particularly Bloodvelds and Turoths (if I remember correctly). 'My apologies, but I will not be adding a note mentioning this. Thank you for your consideration, though.
  22. The "Big bones(1-3)" drop is listed on the first line of the Miscellaneous section. As for the charm drop ratio, even if they do drop more Green Charms than they do others, we typically only make a note of it if the monster is a viable option for charm collecting. I know from personal experience that Jungle Horrors are spread too far apart (in additon to being located in an inconvenient area) to be viable, and so few (if any) players regularly kill them for Green Charms. I thank you sincerely for your time, however, I will not be making any changes.
  23. The mind talisman drop has since been confirmed through several other submissions sent in directly from the site. Because of this, the change has been made and I've added your name to the credits. Thank you, your help is much appreciated. ;)
  24. Mckinzy5 is correct. Ice strykewyrms can drop both an unnoted and noted Runite bar. There's nothing to be fixed, but thank you for your time, all the same. :)
  25. This is correct; you must either equip a dragonfire/anti-dragon shield while drinking an antifire potion or simply drink an extreme antifire potion to fully protect against the effects of dragonfire. If I remember correctly, activating the 'Protect from Magic' prayer will mitigate the damage inflicted somewhat, but only to an extent (having a high Agility level has a similar effect, I believe). I'll close this thread, since it doesn't appear that any corrections are necessary. :)
