  1. I did a Bestiary search for you here using the keyword "gems". It is sorted by non-members. This at least might be of some use in narrowing down the monster you want to kill.
  2. Just wanted to pop in and say THANK YOU for adding the penguin point information to all of the individual skill calculators. Brilliant! :)
  3. I struggled with this myself recently. Finally, I just bit the bullet and did Pyramid Plunder to level 63, I think it was. Then I used a squirk juice to boost to level 65 to do the diary requirement. Luckily it worked on the first try. :)
  4. Farm and sell herbs while you fight dragons and sell the bones. Please. We need more dragon bones circulating!
  5. Is there still a well that is really close to the Edgeville bank? I know there used to be but I'm drawing a blank atm.
  6. Grab your dragon halberd and finish your assignment while training strength in the safe spots under the Karamja volcano. Or, get a new assignment from Turael in Burthorpe since you aren't yet on the slayer point track from Smoking Kills (do this as soon as you are able to, by the way :) ). I would stick with Vannaka as your slayer master for now. He doesn't seem to assign monsters in such great numbers. As to your money goal, you are not going to make 70M from Slayer alone on your way to 75 attack so you will need another money-making method along the way. Farming herbs is an excellent complement to slaying because of its almost passive nature. Good luck!
  7. Thanks again for all of the advice. I'm not so :ohnoes: now!
  8. Thank you both for the world 84 tip. I'll venture out as soon as I hit level 77. And Zaaps1, I'll be happy to record some data for you if you need it for concentrated coal. Currently, your guide does not indicate you do, so let me know! :)
  9. I just realized I am very close to level 77 mining when I will be able, on paper at least, to mine concentrated coal. After looking at the map of the cavern and reading about the monsters contained therein I wonder if I could survive down there long enough to make it worthwhile? My combat level is 101; defense is 75 and equally balanced with other combat stats. Seems I read of a particular world where there are lots of players fighting these monsters, so mining might be less dangerous for the likes of my character. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. ;) Advice and/or information will be much appreciated.
  10. I can see the point if you happen to get Terror Dogs as a slayer assignment, look them up in the Beastiary, find out they are in a multi-combat area, and follow the link to the Tarn's Lair guide, read up on getting there, pack up your cannon and head out, only to discover you can't use a cannon. A note added to both the Beastiary entry as well as the guide to the Lair would be most welcome in the above scenario. Details like this save time. ETA: I would consider a reminder note, in the Bestiary entries, about using a Ring of Slaying to travel quickly helpful as well.
  11. It's all RuneScape jargon. No need to split hairs. As someone above suggested, have a look at what the Wiki lists as slang in the game.
  12. This is from the Ernest the Chicken quest guide: That is the only other quest I know of that has been updated in this manner.
  13. Green Dragons are so over-run I have even considered paying slayer points to skip a task. Which leads me to ask, why are bones so expensive these days with so many players killing dragons and selling the bones? Seems the price of bones should have dropped rather than risen.
  14. This was true for me. I killed just one of the little sea snakes and got the required bone. Now, if only I could get the bone from a Mithril Dragon. <_<
  15. making a big deal out of something you can afk Umm i doubt you could afk all the way until the 360s. At some point you will have to drink potion or eat. Also for someone who has done the fight caves before it can be pretty easy, but for someone he has never been it might be a little tough. And im just giving the OP some tips. Indeed, I doubt I will be afk for even an eye-blink. Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I just realized the 360 comes just halfway through, so I should be in good shape.
  16. So, yes or no, do I or do I not need sara brews to get to and kill a 360? I looked at Tip.It's guide but there is nothing this specific about combat levels and gear/potions.
  17. This is my last hard task to complete for the Karamja diary. I'm wondering if I can get through to kill a lvl 360 without Sara brews and Super Restores. I have plenty of prayer potions and food as well as ranging potions and super sets. Equipment I have includes - and these are just the items that seem relevant so feel free to suggest others: full Guthan's, black dragonhide, Fury amulet, Zammy book, tons of broad bolts and rune crossbow, Helm of Nietz and Archer helm, dragon boots and snakeskin boots, Ava's Accumulator, and the Ardougne Cloak 3. My stats: Attack/Strength/Defense 75/75/75 Range 75 Magic 76 (not that it seems to matter for this exercise) Prayer 63 Summoning 57 Any advice about the most efficient combination of equipment / potions / food/ weapon, etc. is greatly appreciated. Also, if you think it would really be worth it, should I, as long as I am there anyway, prepare to go ahead and attempt a try at Jad. Which I realize would require the brews I am trying to avoid needing
  18. If you haven't done it yet, do The Knight's Sword quest. That will get you a good chunk of smithing experience - around 12k I think.
  19. Charge some air orbs while you read the forums? :)
  20. Are you saying the game won't let you back into the trap door under the altar?
  21. You need the crafting level during the quest. As a matter of fact, you can't even begin the quest without it. I have trained crafting through those levels mostly by making battlestaves, making the best level I could using a crafting potion if necessary. If you have the Varrock Armour from the achievement diary it helps greatly in the cost - the better the armour, the more staves you can buy at a reduced price from Zaff each day. Edit: The only orbs I made and charged myself were earth and air because of the location of the other 2 obelisks. Also, I high-alched them to recoup the gp - though they sell well on the GE. I'm sure there are quicker ways, though not necessarily inexpensive or without tedium (spinning flax, for example).
  22. Sorry, still makes no sense to me in terms of using a nature rune to high-alch. I don't understand your 'lazy' comment, either.
  23. The bows are half decent to alch... An unstrung maple longbow is half decent to alch? I can't get the math to work for that. 'Splain please.
  24. I agree, Barrows is fun although I wouldn't count on it to make money, but you won't lose money either. And you might get lucky! In addition to the passive money making activities like Manage Thy Kingdom and Farming, try a variety. Kill some easy Chaos Druids; herbs are outrageously profitable right now. Mine Shooting Stars or cut Evil Trees- not exactly a money making machine, but it is fun and you will get great experience in the process. By the way, at your particular runecrafting level, you would be best served to craft cosmic runes from a profitability standpoint - check it out. I actually tested that out, and my average nat run is 1.5k~ more than double cosmics. And how do you start manage thy kingdom? Read all about managing your kingdom here. Sorry the Cosmic Rune tip didn't work for you, how did you test it? Are you crafting natures via the Graahk teleport or the abyss, and how did you run the cosmics? Just curious. :)
  25. Try standing back a square. I find sometimes when using the shortcut that I accidentally click the opposite side of the hole. Could be the same for trying to mine through.
