His response was quite useful. Don't expect people to be nice to you when your replies are rude. Is the idea interesting? Absolutely. Is it worth implementing? I think so. Do the admins have time to design the modification completely from scratch? Nope and they probably won't any time soon. -
I don't play any more, but when I did, I was a left wing or defence. I tried goalie once, and let in 14 goals in a half hour game....good times. The leafs are definitely my favorite team, but I haven't had the same love for the NHL since the lockout and rarely watch hockey any more. And of course everyone knows the leafs are a lost cause.

Bumping this to let everyone know it isn't forgotten. We've had some technical issues with the new forum and are waiting for those to be sorted out. I'm not sure how long it will take but I have made some decisions about who I'll be adding and will be letting people know as soon as I can. Hopefully we will be able to produce a November issue.

What a femaleish joke :< I disagree, maybe I am too trusting but if I were leader of a clan I would never close it because I assumed the people next in line couldn't take on the job. I would prefer to see where the clan went whether the clan go down in flames despite all efforts or thrive under new leadership than I would take it away from the members on a power trip (no offence intended to anyone). I wouldn't care how people outside the clan remembered the clan, aslong as I was doing right by the next people in line for the job and the people inside the clan had good memories. BK is an example of a clan that despite losing several influential members all at once in the past has always tried to pull through and has always succeeded, maybe not at the same strength, but certainly well enough to continue the legacy that is BK. The thing about BK is that there is no one person bigger than the clan itself. Maybe that's selfish of me... I think it works both ways kind of. PS. I don't think the 3 big clans that have closed were closed on a power trip as such, I think the leadership that were retiring/quitting RS were the clans identities and to pass the leadership responsibilities on would have effectively been creating a new clan with the same name. But looking at BK you have had tons of leaders - the majority of which were very good. When you have only had one or 2 leaders throughout the entire history of the clan (example DI and Ghjjf) if they retire it changed practically everything the clan stood for and the way it was run. I respect that decision simply because the clan wouldn't be the same after that. Eh has never been a favorite of mine, but I'm sorry to see them go. I wonder how many more top clans will be gone by 2010? :?

Firstly, I would like to say a great occasion has occured, I actually lol'd at one of everton's posts  Now, on to "the code" 1. Do you think Mod Intervention was too soon to act or too late? We try to be lenient, as Joe said. I'm a firm believer in only moderating when I absolutely have to - this forum is for you guys(the users), and you should control how it runs. However, it is my job to step in if nothing is happening. I stepped in for a few reasons. Firstly, because nothing was happening. Secondly, because recently there has been a history of nothing happening. 2. Do you think that the beef will only get worse? It's possible. My concern is more about the way the beef is handled. 3. What impact will this have on the TWR Overall? Drama is good - rivalries are good, 5 pages on a declaration topic is not. I'd be happy if people kept the flames and arguing to the aftermath topic. 4. Will mods intervene quicker to prevent beef? Clan staff will only intervene when we absolutely have to. It is our job to point discussion in the right direction, and to assist with negotiating. I don't like implementing house rules, and I believe you are correct when you say this is the first time. As long as the clan officials are discussing to a point I don't see any need to intervene. 5. Will clans caught up in the beef be effected? Depends on how well it's cooked. If it's too rare you could get food poisoning, and that isn't pretty. 6. Do you get caught up in the beef when it's not concerning your clan? It's fun to watch - but I try to let people from the respective clans deal with it. Especially on declaration topics, the arguing is a huge distraction. I feel much better about it on war aftermath threads. 7. What can you do to prevent beef getting worse than it needs to be? Eating beef fast and refrigerating it properly will go a long way in keeping beef great. If it gets too bad, it can be thrown out. Also freezing beef if you aren't planning to eat it for a long time can greatly extend your food dollar. Bear in mind that arguing is fine - its personal attacks, spam, and racism that are unacceptable. Make sure your posts have basis in fact and stick to the game side, and it's practically a guarantee you'll never run into a mod.

Hold on just a sec, I'll find another one to put up. There's no point putting it back on youtube, they will just remove it. The fact that it is removed makes me think its quite similar to what the actual game will look like, despite the "Rework".

A lot of people still run XP though, a discerning user would be able to tell but its certainly quite clever to trick regular users. -

That's tricky. As others have said technically the original owner had responsibility to watch the donkey and by letting it eat the notes he was failing to do so. If thats true then the buyer should be reimbursed, or simply put the donkey belongs to him. However it begs the question of why the money was out in the first place, as the guy above me said :P

Thats pretty cool, as others have said not too fancy but definitely getting there. I look forward to seeing some more of your stuff :)

I think its completely acceptable. It is annoying, but its definitely a legitimate tactic. I don't do it personally, I prefer to practice hugging around rocks. When I used to play it I found it was quite easy to catch hiders at any rate, you just run to the middle and can see when they come out. As for the abuse, well, thats pretty much a staple of the game now so it doesn't surprise me.
