  1. You'd be better off with crusader armour forged from a large crucifix. Keep a bible under your armour next to your heart, and use a shroud which has a bible chapter written on it. Use a sword made from holy silver, only forged using wood from various ancient holy artifacts. I'd still side with the demons though. Half demon-Half human for the win.
  2. I think I'd side with the demons in that case.
  3. Ah, it also depends on which variety of Demon we are talking about. If we're talking about something like an archdemon, I can safely say that we're all screwed. If its a Yaoguai(sp?), then it probably has the same level of determination as yourself, and will probably beat you. If we're dealing with the upper tiers of demonkind, then special tactics would be required. Heh, I always was quite interested in this kind of thing.
  4. Well, that depends what you mean. I consider numbness as being able to block out the suffering of others and focus purely on your own task, so wouldn't that work to stop a demon possessing you?
  5. If demons fight pyschologically, I'm basically safe. Numbness is the path to survival. Besides, I have one of those kickass "Vampire hunter"-esque trenchcoats, so I can look awesome while keeping the forces of darkness at bay. Or helping them. Either way works for me.
  6. Prowl the streets in my Trenchcoat, carrying a bible in one hand and a sword forged from molten silver crucifixes in the other. Oh, and not forgetting a bottle of holy water. Seems easy enough to dispatch demons, so I guess I'll take the fight to them. Assuming I'm not the one etching pentagrams on the ground and summoning an army from the depths of hell of course.
  7. It lets you forget about your troubles for a little while.
  8. Why, exactly? Because Hex is 8 years old and thinks its offensive that people drink alchohol.
  9. Okay, since FTL travel is basically finished and we're just waiting for Doom to come online, I'm going to use this time to dispatch Cataclysm I & II, Rhadamanthus V & VI, and my 12 Exeos ships to Sega-Res. They're basically going to be ferrying my population to Sega-Res over the next 50 years or so. I'm going to keep building Exeos ships until I have like 60, because otherwise it'll take 118 days to get my entire population to Sega-Res. They can always be scrapped and turned into something else later.
  10. A pack of Salami, a slice of leftover pizza and some diet coke. My fridge needs restocking
  11. Black licorice is horrible.
  12. Worst case scenario, you contact a mod and get the posts hidden, really. Also, has the map already been created? Don't we have like four new players joining in the new thread? I remember Wongtong was one of them, but I forget the rest.
  13. Remember to reserve the first few (4 or so) posts.
  14. Just for the record, they aren't leaving until they get their warp drives installed tommorow, and they will be leaving with 10 Exeos ships, each at maximum capacity of 35,000.
  15. Plasma windows basically allow large objects to pass through while keeping gases and such in, so its good for shipyards and docking bays, where people need to get to the ships easily. Plasma weaponry is pretty innefficient really, windows are a better use for it.
  16. You can't really instantly grow meat. The only way a missile grid would work in the new thread is if you had missile silos near all of your enemies systems, and I'm SURE that they would allow that. I'm not sure if nuclear fission weapons are allowed anyway, I think you'r still only allowed fusion. Plasma channeling is hugely innefficient for what you want to do with it, you might as well just use conventional weaponry. Plasma is mainly used for plasma 'windows' now.
  17. Then they die due to dehydration. I've already said I'm okay with it. LEAVE. IT. ALONE.
  18. No, since the cell membrane has been destroyed by the expanding water. Thats the problem with cryogenics in real life, the water in the body expands and kills the cells.
  19. Microbes wont survive below about -25, the water inside them freezes, causing the membrane to be ruptured. Make it -20, not -50, and I'll be happy with it (Well, not happy, but I'll accept it at least)
  20. Hmm... I think I'll leave that offer, I don't want to have to divide my forces up for a small peice of land that is relatively far away from my home planet. Anyways, about the FTL travel. Doom mentioned something about beginning research into it like 10 days ago, but I think it got deleted. I remember that post talking about starting superluminal research as soon as the sphere was large enough to power a small warp drive, so I assume that 11 days is enough for Superluminal travel engines to be tested and built. So can we get Superluminal travel tommorow? Notes: Exeos IX is produced, X will be done in about 4 hours irl time. Cataclysm II is going to be finished in about 3 hours irl time. Can I take a look at the new version of the map, Doom? Also, Hex, extremophiles die at around -25 degrees.
  21. Ah, sorry, I was just making up numbers there, since I didn't have the real number. Hex, your race can't be immune to both acids and alkali at the same time, as that makes no sense. Just as it can't be resistant to both high temperatures and low temperatures. No amount of "Emergency evolution" will change that. FYI Mather, a flamethrower is over 150 degrees in most of the flame. Quite far over 150 degrees. An average flamethrower can incinerate things around 50 metres away, which does lead me to believe that a flamethrower would totally maim extremophiles. Honestly, the whole bacteria idea is quite stupid, you should just go with a normal race, since you're going to be incredibly limited by a bacteria race. No minor/extreme volcanic/arctic planets, lots of weaknesses, difficult to create tech that fits it.... Besides the fact that the whole idea of bacteria combining to create intelligence is totally nonsensical.
  22. Don't tell me you're still going with the bacteria thing...
  23. All of my ships were built with space inside to hold a warp drive. EDIT: I finished the system list [Hide=System list] Sol 0 LY away Yellow star 1 extreme volcanic, 2 Earthlike, 1 Gas giant, 1 Tiny Alpha centuri 4 LY away Special system - 2 Yellow stars, 1 Red dwarf 1 extreme volcanic, 1 earthlike, 1 aquatic, 2 gas giants Yggdrasil 22 LY away Red dwarf 2 earthlike, 1 minor arctic, 1 minor volcanic, 1 mountainous, 1 gas giant Ewar 14 LY away Red dwarf 1 desert, 1 tiny, 1 Gas giant Fadou 22 LY away White star 2 aquatic, 1 earthlike, 1 minor arctic, 1 tiny, 1 gas giant Yguah 5 LY away Blue star 1 desert, 1 mountain, 1 extreme arctic, 1 gas giant, 2 tiny Ohan 6 LY away Special system - 1 Blue, 1 White 2 earthlike, 1 mountainous, 1 minor arctic, 1 minor volcanic, 2 gas giants Bail 21 LY away Red dwarf 2 extreme volcanic, 1 tiny, 1 gas giant Recea Decimus 10 LY away Yellow star 1 earthlike, 1 aquatic, 1 extreme volcanic, 2 tiny Adrigas 26 LY away Red dwarf 2 mountainous, 1 minor volcanic, 1 aquatic, 1 tiny Ominife 15 LY away Orange star 2 mountainous, 1 earthlike, 1 desert, 1 paradise Sinabo 12 LY away Red dwarf 2 mountainous, 2 desert, 3 gas giant Sega-Res 15 LY away Blue star 2 desert, 1 earthlike, 1 minor arctic, 2 tiny, 2 gas giant [/hide] I look forward to seeing the new grid. Will it be made on paint? I assume so, since thats the easiest option.
  24. Dyson sphere is now complete, and we can start on FTL travel. SInce the whole world is researching it, it would be done by tommorow? We can assume that research started as soon as the sphere was large enough to power a small warp drive, so that would have been about 10 days ago. Cataclysm II 3/4 Exeos VII and VIII are produced. Shipyard in Sega-Res 2/4 I'm going to go and make that list of systems now.
  25. I'm not going to join simply because its you, and I find your very being infuriating. I will, however, pay attention to the thread and see how this goes.
