  1. r u talking about AQ in the eyes of some Runescapers? or Runescape in the eyes of most of the gaming world?
  2. Well for many people, like me, Runescape began their MMO careers. I also found that that people who started with RS were generally better than people who jumped straight into WoW. But not on the level of people who started with Ultima Online. ;) lol so true. if people had a hard learning experience starting up on RS, I'd hate to see the same person starting in UO
  3. There are tons of people reporting feedback to Jagex on a daily basis, so wether he is level 67 or 167 makes no difference, he gets real feedback from real high level players who know what necessary to improve the game.
  4. Well said by the psycho robot. AQ isn't ripping of Jagex' Mechscape idea. I've seen them advertising for their own mech game several years ago, at least before Jagex announced the development of Mechscape. p.s. I'm God :P
  5. I think you're thinking about Fist_of_God, that guy was a monster, I remember he posted pics of his arms, and he had a moustache like hulk hogan hahahaha..
  6. I cant wait to GET MY MECH ON
  7. lol so you did macro it??? you animal!
  8. No. It is a lose-lose situation in which both parties get reduced gains. Its simple common sense, but seems beyond the limited intelligence of spot crashers. And if everyone thinks like you and the rest who so direly claim that a spot is only for ONE person, there wouldn't be enough worlds for Jagex to create, if everyone is to have their own little spot. Thats simple common sense. So fight for a spot and win it, or lose the spot and whine. The circle continues. The "I-came-here-first-its-my-spot" idealism is getting pretty old, especially since there are over 200.000 online people at a time. And how many worlds to share?
  9. yeah it was hehe. pretty lame since they knew of his name for a long time. he didnt macro tho it was because his name was fckedyomomm. i dont thin it matters anymore wether knightlite macroed to all 99s, jagex doesnt seem to care if its true or not so why should we \
  10. I think the reason why they went away from the idea is, that many real console games company would wipe the floor with Jagex, if they attempted any sort of takeover in the field of console gaming.
  11. damn noob lied when he said knife!!
  12. Grats :) But why are you taking your own Who knows me best test on ur webpage ? :P
  13. It was an attempt at self-deprecating humour... he should leave that for rowan atkinson :)
  14. in the spirit of the post above me. there will always be a winner and a loser . its up to the loser to deal with it really.. IMO anybody with a high mining level is cheating themselves, if they switch servers merely to be so-called polite. so for closing words i quote myself and SCREW COURTESY - ME WANT MORE ORE!!!
  15. 0 posts on rsof teehee
  16. Since we can all stand on each other. Any spot is everybodies spot. I just see it as tough luck if someone with a higher mining level out-mines me. After all, he worked harder for the higher level and should have some sort of advantage. But of course I can relate to the feeling of getting owned by another miner. Its frustrating.
  17. Couldn't it just be that his Runescape character is level 21 ? After all its said in continuance to "i'm an active RS player" and its even in the same sentence. Why would he tell the whole world how old he is, for no apparent reason, in a letter that would make the statement totally off-topic? Quote from developmag.com So he started making serious money at the age of 7, according some  On a side note. I see ppl accusing Jagex of wanting to rip off TET, when TET in essence is a rip-off, or rather a fabulous continuation of RsTrivia formed by a woman named Leza who coveted in-game social interaction more than levelling up. So who says its a bad thing to rip-off ideas? Its more of an honor, to be acknowledged as the foundation of what could turn out to be a great idea. and on a REALLY off topic side note. Go check out markgerhard.com , that guy rules!
  18. world 2 fally was never the best place to trade :^o
  19. Just thought it would be fun to re-post and let others see how many of the high profile or well known players (not including me, but I sent in my pic anyway back when someone made this collage hehe) looked like anno 2001. Maybe your hero is there, or an old enemy? Its time to finally put a face on that guy who's guts you used to hate! Or perhaps put a face on your old internet flame (raise your hand if it was pepsi_24). If your in the pic, do you still look like you used to? I for one am glad that I'm not skinny anymore :) Or maybe you just wanna have a laugh at Da-Not-So-TruPimp :D *Red is Red1010 *Pixey is Pixey1 *Leon is Kingleonardo *Thijs is Thijsme1 *Polo is Polomeros/Yedija
  20. there used to be a guy named "A Black Man" who was a ranger so when he att'ed you the message read "A Black Man is shooting at you!" looked in my computer and found some nice names from pictures of the old hiscores two others
  21. to add to the 3 most recent posts, i'd say catching and the ability to catch had a large say wether one could be a good pker or not. but with just 2 friends or more, catching became virtually irrelevant. seeing as at one point or another the "runner" would have to go south, you and your friends could just strategically place yourselves south of the victim and range on them, pick up fight, and repeat process. the biggest flaw in the system would almost have to be, that most players didn't do nearly enough damage due to the notorious "0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 30! 0 0 0" hitting system, i.e Whodabest on his newb Kikyurass hit 14 consecutive 0's on me wearing full bronze with just 80 defence. so mostly anybody had a great chance at escaping if u knew how to run south-west diag..... or was it south-east? my memory is failing now :ohnoes: curse and teleport runes plus prayer used in the right combination could save pretty much anyone from total domination in a 1v1. running diag it took about 3 seconds for each wilderness level so at most it would take just 75 seconds to get south enough for a teleport. not a huge time slot for a pker trying to remove 25+ food items in the other persons inventory.
  22. yes the ones i've experimented with were either 1. laggy, 2. laggy and bugged 3. laggy, bugged and/or nothing near the former runescape look and feel.
  23. all rsc one-handed weapons including rune battle axe are pretty much useless in comparison to r2h. as far as i remember rune battles accuracy is 45 as opposed to r2h's 70 (75?) and the attack power or whatever u name it is a little less as well. until you get 60 attack use r2h and than go over to dragon long/battle axe
  24. Should have walked 30 seconds south to buy it from the Champs guild... :wall: I lol'd at this. you obviously didn't read the post you quoted as it says he needed it for dragon slayer. your posts seem to be the most laughable on the rsc board as for the original poster, taking player to player trading out of the game was a horrible thing to do. additionally many of the updates that have come around lately have taken the realism out of the game that was present in classic. Honestly, hundreds of years ago people would have to walk to the market and stand there all day selling their items, it was part of life and people accepted it. God didn't 'update' his creation because people didn't want to put up with part of life. jagex shouldn't have either. He could still have walked into champs guild and bought rune long instead of standing 3 hours at varrock server 1. So how is his post so laughable? Must have been a crappy deal if no one wanted to sell for 3 hours anyway
  25. asherons call. knight online. dark age of camelot and everquest were all heavyweighters and still are \ o ya there was also priston tale and I remember Planeshift, the first rpg that really caught the attention of RS'ers, players like lightning, bluerose and others had usernames on the forums prior to the release, expectedly to get a good head start on the game, they might have been imposters I guess only they know. I even copped the name Robin Hood on there if i was gonna play hehe.. as of 2009 Planeshift is still a crappy game in alpha testing hahahaha.... i hated helbreath, all the people from RS who had major issues, be it IRL or ingame ,moved to play it (angel2002 you know who you are) on topic, i wouldnt pay anything to play RS. never have and never will. il'l click some banners though
