Rune Scimitar vs Silverlight when fighting Demons ?
There is a level 104 here killing lesser demons much quicker than I am, with a rune scimitar equipped. I think I will use that instead. And the silverlight is in fact slower than the scimitar. p.s. my attack level is 92.

Jagex gives banned accounts a 2nd chance.
With your attitude you'll be banned again. And with any sense they'd ban the chars accessed from your IP.

Rune Scimitar vs Silverlight when fighting Demons ?
I don't think silverlight is similar to rune long, as I hit lots of 22's without pots or prayer on the lessers, and I've never hit a 22 natural with a rune long.

Many places lose their attractiveness due to new updates and features. For example, I'm training at lesser demons at karamja which used to be crowded. Now I'm lucky if i get to see someone.

Rune Scimitar vs Silverlight when fighting Demons ?
Hello. Its been some years since I've last fought a demon, and since than there have been many changes. I am strictly f2p. So I'm wondering, does the Silverlight still have bonus damage when fighting demons? A simple yes/no will be appreciated :-)

Merching Clans
I feel no effects of merching clans, since i tend to use my gathering skills. IMO merching clans are equivalent to pyramid schemes, illegal in some countries.

Tip.It Times: 10 May 2009
In the first article, the writer seems to have forgotten, that all skills rotate around combat in the first place. You mine so you can smith armor. You fish so you can cook food. You Make runes so you can do magic. You cut wood so you can fletch arrows to train ranged. Etc etc etc. I see no imbalance. It also states that RS differentiates itself, by having the most broad variety of skills & activites than other mmorpgs. Even so, the skills revolve around combat skills. Also, in my eyes skillers are just stumped players. A nonskiller can be everything a skiller can be at most, and than become even more. About article #2... Well we've had a windmill in the game for a long long time  All in all some good articles which raise good questions though, :D

Jagex reintroducing RuneScape Classic
If they want to prevent credit card fraud. They should consider the option of making the whole of RSC free of charge. Or even better, reintroducing RS 1 with only the f2p part of the world, since we all know that everyone is just gonna pk pk pk pk pk pk pk pk pk !!! :P
-
Ah... Pking
First it was pile-jumpers, than it used to be "weakeners" that were picked on by the general population. Now its safers, and soon we will move on to a new thingy that everyone will hate.. So the question is, are you gonna let yourself be all petty and bothered over it?

Rejecting Censorship
Thats the thing, it doesn't justify the nuisances! The censor is annoying as hell! But like many laws and rules they must still exist for the good of the general population. People like you, me and others who are directly affected by it can only make movements for improvement. But suggesting to remove the censor totally is unrealistic. When Runescape was not yet a popular game with "only" a few thousand online at once, there used to circulate hundreds of pics of people calling each other racist remarks. Players called "Niqqer Frank (q's are actually G's"), mothafuqqa" etc etc. All of this led to the first "chat system update" in 2002. That chat system update starred out literally every 2nd word you wrote. Since than Jagex have worked on improving the censor, and even recently they have updated it, allowing multiple new words that used to be censored i.e [wagon], balls, etc. But when a large part of the RS community finds leisure in writing nonsense like "a qp ..... W" (a very large part), removal of the censor remains unrealistic. But yes I agree that the censor needs lots of work put into it still. And I'm just not buying the arguement, that people find it necessary to swear in a game, where swearing is in no way, shape or form called for. It seems more like people have the attitude of "i won't swear because im mature and I want to prove it to the rest of the world, by having Jagex removing the censor and not swearing, anyone who does swear is a little kid, and I'm not a little kid". p.s. If the censor ever was removed for good. I wouldn't complain. I'd be happy. I'm just not sure that complete removal would fix anything at all. And knowing the community for almost 9 years now I'm pretty sure that removal of this 1 "problem", would generate at least 10 new ones, like the mythical hydra. You cut off 1 head, and 2 new ones appear.

Rejecting Censorship
Swearing is not allowed, so we've got that covered. Next point is, why should it be starred out, when an individual DOES decide to swear? Because it hurts one's feelings? Doubtful. The evil intertubes wouldn't be a suitable place for such a person in the first place. You asked yourself a rhetorical question there. Seeing as you answered it before you asked. "Swearing is not allowed, so we got that covered". So the reason why it should be starred it is quite obvious. Swearing in game has nothing to do with ones maturity level. Its just not necessary and anyone who thinks it is is kidding themselves. Seeing as they could scream out anything they want in front of their screen. But than again.. Maybe mommy or daddy would smack them around for doing that, so they'd rather swear in a game and be "cool". If you think i am pro-censorship think again. 60% of my name has been censored since mid 2002 so I if anyone, should understand why people want the censors gone. But I still see no valid reason why they should be removed.

Jagex **& RuneScape** are up for an award
He got a point there =D> It's a metephorical joystick being used to symbolise any gaming interface/control device as it has a ubiquitos and culturally overt association with the medium. ;) Screw metaphores!! We want solid gold yeah

Why would a point'n'click game win a joystick ..

Runescape's Strengths
Please never ever try to compare an Impreza or EVO to a Ferrari in the future. Speaking in fractions, the Subaru or Mitsubishi EVO (There is no such thing as a "Lancer EVO", the Lancer is a sub-model profuced by the Mitsubishi brand just like the Evolution) would most likely reach the finish line 75% faster than the two other cars. Seeing as price and quality really DOES go together in the car business. And to clear some more things up. You do not get anywhere NEAR the same experience of driving a ferrari, when driving an Impreza/EVO, or any other street racing car for that matter. Unless by "experience" you mean the feeling of moving forward faster than pedestrians.. ;) to sum things up. the italian stallion would eat the japanese cars like little tiny pieces of sushi and spit them out at 320 km/h. its like pitting a greyhound against a cheetah. .. Yeah both are fast, slender, sleek and designed for speed. But the cheetah has no competition from the greyhound.,, p.s. there are many videos of Evo's passing ferraris in dragraces etc. The explanation would be that ferraris are illegal to tamper with unless you have an agreement with the company. And they rarely agree to this. The EVO on the other hand can be tampered with to hold over 1000 Horsepower. But Standard vs Standard and the EVO will lose every time. Unless the driver of the ferrari is [developmentally delayed]ed at driving.

Rejecting Censorship
No one NEEDS to swear in a game where swearing is WRITTEN. Meaning your brain must process what you are thinking and send little electronic messages to your fingers, which than write it out on your keyboard and after pressing enter lets your thoughts into the game. So if you are one of those people who "swear on accident" in RS, your just full of bull and nothing you can say can justify your actions.. If you can't control your fingers than you cannot play Runescape, am I right? So next time you feel a need to swear in a game. Try shouting it out loud instead, its more therapeutic than writing it in a game... Or would the reason why you write swearing in the game be, that your MOMMY and DADDY don't let you swear out loud IRL, I wonder..

Fletching, firemaking and cooking - Skillcapes of dirt?
If having 99 in any skill is considered dirt. I'd like to know what the correct term for the millions of people without should be.

Maybe we need private rocks in POH's, for further incentive to get p2p :)

What has happened to Tip.it!?
Classic remark hohto  --- When someone joins this community, the window of opportunity to read "new/fresh" topics is very wide. Over the years it becomes smaller and smaller. And for long time users like yourself, that window is a hole in the wall the size of a chicken egg. I don't know about you, but I browse tip.it more out of habit now than anything else, without posting as much as some years ago. Back when one liners were still big
