Little Boy Father At 13 (After DNA Test, Not The Father)
[/hide] Cut that down to what I would like to address 1. Wow he's young, she told me Im the dad so I have to be. I hate to say it but its quite possible she cheated on him. 2. Its good that he is trying to defend his girlfriend, but its going to really suck if someone has to explain how she cheated on him and those boys werent lying(all 3 could believe they could be the father) 3. I think it would be better to put the child up for adoption, but I do give them some credit for keeping it. 4. Im not an expert here, but does anyone think it is a bit odd for her to be on birth control if they only had sex a single time? If this was a more often thing I would entirely believe it, but dont most people go for some other form of birth control if its a one time thing?

Obama, natural born citizen?
We could debate the need for that part of the constitution, but as it stands you have to be born an american citizen to be president. Would you want someone driving without a licensce just because they promised they would drive well? Terrible analogy I know, but if we start ignoring parts of our law for conveinence what is that point in any law? To the second part, if that is addressing the race card, then take note of the fact that someone who is half black in america is looked at as black. Fault it to America being judgemental or whatever, but Obama identifies himself as black and as far as race politics goes is black. If that was adressing his citizenship, being white does not equate to being an American citizen at all. See anyone living in europe that is white for an example of white non american.

Is there anything that can't kill you?-No supercannons!
I forget specifics, but if the moon ceased to exist the lack of a tide would really mess up our ecosystems and weather.

Possible Cure for HIV Discovered
[hide=] You honestly can not tell me that if WW2 didn't happen we wouldn't be way over populated. Thanks for proving my point about eugenics-sympathizers. The population "drop" from both world wars was tiny (the baby boom brought it right back above where it was before the war), seriously posts like yours make me feel physically sick to read (and that takes a lot), can't believe some people even going as far as attempting to justify the holocaust.. I suppose it's easy for you to support throwing away human life aslong as it's not in your country though (would you still support "population control" if AIDS was killing millions of americans instead?) [/hide] He isnt saying its good that humans are dying. The point is without any death we would have outstripped our planets resources and would all be dead. That doesnt mean we shouldnt work for a cure for aids and what not, it just means that in a twisted way we do need such things until we advance our technology to help the earth maintain a much larger volume of people. we don't need mcdonalds and other status symbols of the overconsumption by 1st world countries but you seem to be happy with them. (I assume you were saying "do not need" by the rest of the sentance) [/hide] No, we dont need mcdonalds, but no matter how efficient you make our food consumption there is still a limit on how many people the earth could sustain. If we remove death then wed all end up being starved to the closest thing to death we could reach due to overpopulation.

Gun Control
so a knife or katana is not a weapon? If you would have just said guns we could have avoided that misunderstanding.

Obama, natural born citizen?
you know, something is determined to be unconstitutional if it violates what is said in the constition. I think you are trying to criticize some rulings that were based off of legislating from the bench, but that cant happen with something like this.

runecrafting familiar choice
Well, Im working on getting all my skills to 60+ and my rc 52 is the last level to get. Here is my question, when using the abyss would it be better to use the abyssal familiar I can use(name escapes me) to increase the amount of ess per trip. Or would just using a terrorbird and scrolls for infinite run make the whole process faster and better overall. Thanks in advance for any help

Obama, natural born citizen?
If he was in the office "illegally" he would be removed without impeachment I believe. Impeachment occurs when the president is accused of violating his limit of powers. edit riku--thats a bit of an overstatement, I guess technically they could but no person qualified for such a valued position would do that. That would be the end of the country if our head court got to that level.

just fyi, the hormones in birth control pills are naturally occuring hormones. Unless you wish to argue our natural hormones are toxic?

Obama, natural born citizen?
I dont believe anyone accused you of that though i think it was directed at what I said. Im not saying you are racists for wanting these claims investigated, but you should know that a lot of these were brought up by people trying to keep him out of office by spreading propaganda based off of his atypical appearence.

Obama, natural born citizen?
Im willing to wager the CIA checked this as soon as he announced his campaign way back when. To be blunt, there are a lot of racists and such in america screaming hes not an american. If there is any suspician the CIA is going to check it even quicker. edit-- well originally it was to prevent Britain from sending over politicians to recapture the country through politics. I guess it is dated and there is some debate over if it should remain, but since theres nothing "wrong" with it if he wasnt natural born hypothetically he would be kicked out.

Just as much point as there is to living on a planet that god is going to destroy when he decides to judge his own creation.

Gun Control
all weapons? pardon the cliche, but all weapons entails almost any object of decent size or weight. The idea of renting out guns is a nice idea, but most hunting occurs on private ground. I think my family eats 5 or so deer each year, all of which are hunted on land we or relatives own. While I firmly believe we need to regulate fully automatic weapons and such, whats the difference between shooting someone with a 45 and a shotgun? Sure, a shotgun is a bit excessive, but if you are defending yourself going overboard isnt going to be your main concern. Good gun laws do need to exist, no you do not have the unalienable right to an uzi in the household. If they established a liscensing measure for owning the practical weapons such as hunting rifles I think it would be a fine measure. My problem is bills that try to ban everything on technicalities, and dont adress the fact that a lot of gun crimes fall into either a. crimes by people in gangs or just criminals in general or b. crimes where if it wasnt a gun it would have been the violater grabbing a knife or nearest sharp object. One final note, I realize this is a bit of a generalization but why is it that the same people that ranted about George Bush's use of the nsa to wiretap without warrants wants the government to be able to monitor what weapons you own. As said, there is a fuzzy line. We shouldnt be allowing ak's on the street but then again, when do you stop banning dangerous stuff and actually start going after crime?

If Jesus was human, perfect, had free will, and was born that way then it is possible for a human to be those. If it is possible for god to create one human with all of those ideal qualities then nothing is stopping him from having created all humans that way. Even if Jesus was also god, why would god not be able to divide himself infinetly to create a flawless species. Remember, just because humanity is flawed doesnt mean life has to be.

Abortion: Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)
[hide=] I already adressed this somewhere, there are different levels of cognitive ability for a full developed sample from a species. I judge animals to be at a lower level then humans, so as long as they are being used for food or some better purpose I dont see anything morally wrong with killing them. Obviously, you can say aliens would take this point of view, but it should be clear that humans are a level above any other animal on earth. But you obviously accept that there is a gradient, and it is not just a case of humans = good, other animals = bad. I was arguing against Sly_Wizard's view that the foetus is suddenly extremely valuable at the point of conception. I am in agreement with you that there is a fuzzy line, where science has to take many considerations into account, such as the presence of brainwaves as you mention. [/hide] okay so we agree there is matter of gradiants here. My main concern was that there is a difference between the issue of when it becomes a "person" and stops becoming a group of cells from a legal standpoint and the difference between a baby and a fully grown human. just to clarify, when I said animals being used for a good purpose that involves death is acceptable that has a limit obviously; if we have to test a drug for side effects animal tests are an okay thing to me if it is protecting humans, but I dont believe in say beating animals just to test the effectiveness of a baton(poor example I know)

But in order to do that, there would have to be no "wrong" aka sin. and in order to accomplish that, free will will infact have to be taken away. The fact of the matter is if there's free will, there will always be someone who abuses it, and with it, that will no longer be a "perfect" world. Yes this perfect world can happen, but it takes certain people, in a certain environment, with a certain mindset. Don't say God could have created this because if he just created it right of the bat, then there would be no free will again because there would be no choice between good and bad. It can get somewhat complicated explaining on a forum, but thats the main idea of Christianity. That God put us here and gave us free will, that way he can take those who choose to do right, with him to somewhere that is perfect, and where the people who would make in "not perfect" wouldn't exist. Hence the second coming of Jesus. If we arent perfect now, why would taking us up into heaven make us perfect without removing our free will? Also, if god is all powerful then why would he be incapable of producing a race of entirely virtuous people with free will? If I recall accurately, Jesus had the choice to not be crucified when he was praying at the garden(I forget name). Whether or not he was god, Jesus was an all around good person. If Jesus had free will and was a "perfect" moral person then god can create said type of person and therefore could create a race of them. of course we cant prove it, the point is if there are a billion billion planets and the odds of life developing on a given planet are one in a billion probability says there are about one billion planets with life. Assuming the billion billion planet number is correct, for earth to be the only planet with life the odds of some form of life developing would most likely have to be near 1 in one billion billion. Even so, its still quite possible there are 2 planets with life. Secondly, the idea of a life sustaining zone is only accurate in the confines of what we know life can form in. There is no law stating that there isnt a second "life zone" for another type of life.

we could be an immortal and perfect in all ways race that could not reproduce on a planet without inclement weather. We can debate what perfect entails, but clearly we are below it in some way(immorality, cancer etc.).

Basketball coach wins 100-0 and is fired..
Or how about this instead: If you were nominated for being one of the most argumentative TIFer's then and only then can you argue on TIF, but if not, then you are not qualified. See how ridiculous it sounds? (And arrogant at the same time?) I usually tend to stay away from bringing up logical fallacies, but there have been numerous times when students correct their own teachers. Your position doesn't automatically imply that you are going to be right. Take a look at Leonardo da Vinci. He became a better painter than his own master - even though he was in a lower position than him. We are talking about sportsmanship, how is experience in sports an irrelevant trait? I agree you can understand sportsmanship seperate of that, but if you have played you will know there are codes of conduct for situations similair to this game 9 or so years of soccer 4 or 5 baseball just fyi. If you are winning by an insermountable margin, you should put your jv in and have them play their hardest. How can you have a problem with the uneven division and claim that they shouldnt play their jv because it is insulting?
