The objection to slavery, particularly its expansion were almost entirely based upon religion. Northern churches were becoming more strongly anti slavery and pro abolition. Many northerners also wanted slavery contained to keep electoral power, but the fact is without any religious backing the abolition movement would have been stymied for a much larger amount of time. The American civil war was fought over states rights, but the key right being debated was slavery which many religious movements were trying to abolish. edit--could I have a source for new york almost joining the csa? I realize they has some pro slavery tendencies, but that seems like a bit of a stretched claim.

just a thought, why didnt they let them get a single basket? Whether or not you agree with toning down the game its cruel to not let them score at all. This was a basketball game afterall, its not like soccer where you cant really give away a goal by lightening up. In basketball just one play of light defense would allow a basket.

That's right, and it can be easily tested in the Duel Arena. A new character combats someone who has a Ring of Recoil equipped. Since a new character has a max of 1, both 0 and 1 have 50% chance of happening. Which means that the recoil should happen even if the character zeroes. thats a nice way of proving it I thought it was extremely funny that they confirmed this like 2 days after this thread started.

the postbag from the hedge of today proves that you can role a 0 on damage its in the tz jok jad vs chicken section, I think it was including more hints to things but it distinctly mentions that a chicken has a 50% chance of hitting 0 if it hits.

godsword d claws may have a better spec(I have no opinion) but they dont have a training use. God swords are useful for gwd bosses and some training situations.

We have pretty much established that anything physical can kill you if we allow sums of power. A single neutrino cant really kill you, but with the whole being one neutrino from death principle it works. to the first part, I agree with you but I would change it to people that believe in creationism and want it recognized as science. I see nothing flawed about believing everything is created by a divine being, the problem comes when you deny the science on the basis "because god did it" churches had a mixed effect on science, but since they funded the original alchemy which grew into chemistry their overall effect was (unintentionally) amazing. I think this hits the nail on the head, the implanting of morality into humans was greatly aided by religion, but its need has lessened over time as we figure out more science.
