  1. assuming melee are seperate slay(provides resources in general) range mage def runecraft(for money to pay for range and mage)
  2. having a slow metabolism does not equal fat though, some people are luckier then others but that doesnt give anyone an excuse to be morbidly obese.
  3. [hide=] Unless she was raped, I'll keep laughing. I bet a lot of TIFers here would be surprised at the age some people have sex regularly. Not trying to say we're nerds or anything though. :? [/hide] Its probably a little worse then anyone can imagine, I know a limited amount of kids in my grade started at 13ish and I know the class below us was a lot worse promiscuity wise.
  4. It's like saying someone who goes to the beach a lot can't adopt a child because they have an increased risk of dying of skin cancer. You can't tell the life expectancy of someone just because they're fat or they sunbathe. Oh and the title should be facepalm, not faceplant. Almost anything you do could have some negative effect on your life expectancy, but obesity is likely to kill you in a drawn out process where you are debilitated or a quick heart attack. Also, cancer is a risk but being extremely overweight causes mobility and other caregiving problems all on its own.
  5. Im still curious, what defines sexual prime? There have to be a few ways to define that libido and fertility being two I can immediately think of.
  6. That last sentence made me lol. Id say its fair to call the point reasonable either way, even if there are some genetic factors you have quite a bit of control over your weight where as your race is pretty static unless your micheal jackson but im not sure hes still human
  7. [hide=] [/hide] quote is the giant post. I think the above story is a bit over the top, it is quite accurate to many of the problems atheists experience but I dont think many people have been fired(modern times) for not believing in god. Slight exaggeration excluded, it does bring up some logical points, I do wish the author had tried a slightly more reasonable basis then grape eating but that doesnt harm the thesis. To the post on probability, It is fair to assume the odds of their being a god at 50/50 as it is fair to assume them at 74.8/25.2 because the definition of god excludes him/her/it from conventional logic. If someone feels the concept of god is ridiculous they have just as much logical backing as someone who claims their must be a god. In this case 50/50 is technically the empirical choice as it is admitting a lack of controlling factors. For instance if I have an closed box and I ask you if the object in it is akkbjrebr or adlfjkstglkwb your odds of being right must be assumed at 50/50 as you have no way of knowing if their is a predisposition towards either made up object. You may have some personal belief that makes you think the odds should be 70/30 but since we have no way of proving that 50/50 is the fair guess at odds. note of clarification--those odds are for some form of a god/gods, not suggesting a certain religion or any specific beliefs.
  8. It's like a black kid who gets picked on by a teacher shouting out 'You're just saying that because I'm black!!" The difference here is that being morbidly obese has a very negative effect on some aspects of your life where as being black/asian/indian/vulcan :P by itself does not. Some races have slight dispositions toward some genetic diseases but uncontrollable factors are vastly different from things such as morbid obesity.
  9. agreed Im not great at metric(curse american system of measure) but isnt 150 kilos over 300 pounds? I have no problem with slightly overweight people adopting children and Id encourage it if they cant have children without aid but want them. If someone is signifigantly overweight to the point it concerned the adoption officials I have to agree, if someone has a body weight that is risking their life in a very immenant fashion they should not be trying to have kids through any means. Thats not to say it only applies to obese people, I wouldnt approve of someone about to die of Aids or other diseases adopting children because it doesnt promote stability.
  10. except the civil war, that was just us screaming state/national rights until human dignity became a political advantage.
  11. Isn't atheism belief in considering uncertainty too then if they adjust the 'odds' like that? How is either option more or less certain than the other one? Well, it would be presumptious to give yourself 100% odds for a situation. Just used the math explanation to say that it is a 50/50 by raw math but you adjust the odds yourself based on your set of beliefs. Technically, you are right half the time and wrong half the time your odds are just an opinion on the situation. Guess that didnt make sense to include, but I guess that was meant to encourage open minded thinking instead of trying to prove or disprove god with math.
  12. Was that directed at anyone or just a general statement?
  13. Trig is a part of math/physics, and I dont know about college classes but high school chem does not get to make many explosions. Play with stuff that can burn through your skin yes, but not many explosions.
  14. [hide=] Yes, but Schrodinger's cat is easily resolvable: just open the box and observe. There is no equivalent for God. You might as well just say that we can't be sure. Comparing it to a situation described accurately by mathematics is a little misleading. Opening the box would just be... death. That's the equivalent. [/hide] Exactly what I was trying to get at, since God assuming he exists is outside of the laws of physics you cant know till you open the "box" into God's reality, through death or maybe being contacted by god. It doesnt directly relate to the 50/50 scenario of schrodinger's cat but I think the analogy is reasonable just adjust the odds based on your level of theism leaving 1% if your atheist 99% if you believe considering uncertainty
  15. Which is very ironic considering most americans generally oppose what the government is doing. (funny how we dont want companies to get bailouts but loved the idea of the government sending us stimulus checks)
  16. What do you mean by that part? I don't understand that. I think his point is that religious freedom is wrong because it caused a christian majority to control American policy. Guess we should just go Nazi so we dont allow too many religions to go unpunished  . (yes that was a strawman), but limiting religious freedom because you dont like christians is ridiculous and not going to help anyone.
  17. [hide=] [/hide] America has more of a problem with religious semi radicals then radicals(not much of a difference but its some strong right wing religious groups that cause an inflation of right wing policy without being truly radical) I live with a fairly right wing family, that opposed gay marriage and thinks obama is a muslim(so annoying), but ive never heard the phrase other countries hate us for our freedom, must have been some real crazies to say that. What bothers me about America is our sticking to policy and positions because they are liberal or conservative. Like how no american politician has a moderate abortion policy because they dont want to offend their parties base. The infinite loop of sound bites like gay marriage is destroying the sacredness of marriage get old very quickly when you realize its just religion manipulating people. Sure there are things America has done that were really terrible, that doesnt mean it isnt in purpose a good country. (we dont think germany is evil because of hitler do we, doesnt get much more evil then that).
  18. What he said. Male sexual prime is sixteen. Female is around 35 IIRC. That's only the physical aspect, though. Mentally it's different for everyone, obviously. At the risk of this being really odd what do they base the age of sexual prime on? Just asking because im sure there are a few things that could be used and I have a weird curiosity since I have heard those ages before.
  19. armor doesnt degrade in price too badly over time. I bought my bandos plate between 11 and 12 mil and if I do choose to resell it Im willing to bet it will have only dropped 2 or 3 mil. So I basically paid 3 mil for unlimited use of the plate over the time I had it which is fine by me.
  20. Just a brief thought, does the riddle of if god exists equate to the paradox of schrodinger's cat? as in both options are equally true and untrue till we open the "box"
  21. [hide=] just had to quote this since it gets mistaken so much \ id say level 5 is better just for loading cannon and bigger bag personally no experience at higher levels so idk You do not loose points. That is a fact. Test it out for yourself. The thing is, a cannon can only get loaded with 5 of each before they are fired. If there are no more eggs, then its good to shoot, however it should not be done if there are eggs. [/hide] I was agreeing that the cannon does not cost points, not sure how you understood that wrongly. Its good to see the cannon myth going away, idk if I will ever play ba again but people screaming cannon noob was the most annoying part of getting torso
  22. The one that always annoys me is people wearing garbage in pc. It would be fine if it was slots that didnt provide attack bonus but im pretty sure every item slot has some offensive stat power. Especially annoyed by the high levels with gs and no armor bossing people around
  23. 1. viagra 2. enzyte 3. race card 4. reality show 5. any form of the word illegal immigrant that doesnt include the word illegal 8p
  24. That analogy is stupid. Why don't I compare Germany alone with you and, say, Zimbabwe together? If you're going to compare countries, at least do it on a like-for-like basis, and look for explanations behind those figures rather than leaving it open and implying it's all due to laziness. For instance, Poland has a poverty rate of 23.8%, Bulgaria's is only 12.8% and France doesn't even bother recording, although the CIA's estimate is a minuscule 6.2%. Collectively, we're still the biggest contributor of foreign aid in the world. I'd say that gives us some pretty decent leverage. Did that statistic measure hours per worker or just hours worked per person, because if its just based on a workers average hours it would be reasonable to make a point with it. Though, that 500hour difference boils down to less then an hour and a half a day (Americans work 10 and a half extra hours per week give or take then) but there are certainly a lot of factors behind that difference such as types of industries and such. On topic, I dont think the EU can get too powerful because it is still a group of seperate countries, and even if those countries do try to cooperate fully there will always be a sense of nationalism and independance that will make countries object to a lot of actions if they dont help that individual country. Basically, just like how the south seceded from the US because they didnt like that the north had a president, a much more radical example but it shows how sectional/national interest can trouble national/international unity.
  25. Well im saying that those particles just go back in time in infinite amount of time, there is no beginning to time so the particles didnt come from anywhere they just were. It doesnt seem to make sense initially but seems to solve the problem of matter coming from nothing, another reason im going into physics, this type of stuff is fascinating
