Behind the Scenes - August
Yeah, there's a fletch and a woodcutting requirement, yet no ranged requirement. Seems odd to me, looks like we won't have to use the weapon ourselves. :s Also, the tie with Legends quest could mean we need to use a machete to chop a piece of the tree.

Is this game even playable anymore?
At members, I can live with it, at LRC for example, the bots are good flesh-shields against those rock creatures. At f2p, it is a bit harder to live with. I have a free to play account, and it's a real pain to train wc and mining. The willows at Draynor get chopped so fast that it takes twice as long to get an inventory full of logs. So I'm forced to chop willows at that little lake near the HAM-hideout, which lessens my exprates. Also, mining is quite hard because of the competition for ores, esspecially at the good spots as at the two iron rocks just across the resource dungeon at Dwarven Mines. So I've resorted to train mining in dungeoneering. :s

26-Jul-2011 Clan Citadels are Here!
Yeah, how come they said you would have to take about 20 minutes to keep your castle up to date, when even on tier 1, it takes about 2 hours to get your resource limit? :s

26-Jul-2011 Clan Citadels are Here!
Yeah, enabling exp on battlefield, but they don't allow alching on the citadel grounds. Good thinking of them. Also, for the biggest update so far for this year, there are not so many posts on this topic. And most posts are just about things as how to get the resources etc. Seems like I foresee dead content...

12-Jul-2011 Jadinko Lair
Neppq, it's just called being lucky, for one: it took me 2.7k kills for my first whip, my first dragon legs were last week (and according to the big pile of bones in my bank, I killed a lot of metal dragons, no really, a LOT). Don't despair, eventually, you'll get a drop. :)

05-Jul-2011 - Salt in the Wound
Well yeah, I'm a very active player, so all little bugs do add up seriously on my playtime. Just the fact that I had to redo yesterdays quest because of a bugged room, while I'm an avid quester, pissed me off a lot. But I do think players who play less frequently are somewhat evenly disturbed by bugs that could have been prevented (easily) by QA, as I'm thinking that those don't skill a lot, but do more things like minigames, quests and stuff, focusing on unique content, because of the limited time they have. And as those have more unique coding than skills, you can expect a lot more bugs on this type of content.

No one's forcing them to play. Chances are if people aren't committed to playing for whatever reason, there's no reason to expect those same people to keep playing, and so any glitch that incidentally clashes with the enjoyment of their game-play is irrelevant because they're not guaranteed customers and thus don't comprise the core of the player-base. You can't please everyone. That's all your statement proves. QA isn't omniscient nor omnipresent. In fact, I disagree with you that they aren't doing their job. What do you think their job is? To test something only before its release, and if it fails upon release, it's their fault? If they weren't doing their job, those patches could *never* be applied to the broken content after the fact. They are doing they're job -- they're assuring quality by maintaining it when needed in addition to checking quality is up to expectations before release. You can't expect QA to know everything wrong about an update they're testing. Any glitch that slips by them is quickly patched up. When have they failed to do this? Oh no, of course no one is forcing anyone to play, anyone who just dislikes the ways how the company is run today, or just can't play a piece of content like it is intended to work, may freely leave, jagex-fanboys and bots will take their places, no problem. Sorry, but if they don't even check if you can get chompy hats, when it is a special update to GIVE the hats, than there is clearly something wrong.

But it clearly shows that QA isn't doing their job anymore, and it is causing the players to not to be able to play some content. Not everyone can sit all day behind their computer, a lot of people can only play a few hours a week, and it is sad to see they can't play the game as intended, because some parts of the producing process in creating an update are lacking.

Yes, it's the things that QA should catch, the obvious things and stuff, by just TRYING the content. Look at the chompy hats update, you couldn't even get any hats at Rantz, it would just say that you inventory was full. The sagas: you could just teleport out with masses of runes. The past quest: the knights in the 4th room didn't spawn for me, so I had to redo almost the whole quest. And not to forget: the invalid space orders for the NPCs. Smuggling the red skull out of the Fight Pits. The ceremonial sword (design 5) not able to be gotten from artisans workshop. The crash that's now going on. Just a few I can think about within a minute, which all came the last 3-4 months.

Not to forget that all other updates lately are lacking durability and quality.

05-Jul-2011 - Salt in the Wound
Ok, guys, seriously, there something really bugged with this quest, in the 4th room there aren't any monsters coming. And my character cannot respond to anything, so I have to log out, in hope to reset the room. I log back in, I'm in the middle of Witchaven, and I can start over from room 1...

[DevBlog] Loyalty Programme
You'd be suprised... And the most important feature of the system is: people are less inclined to stop their membership, because they will lose out on loyalty points the next time they get members. Also, as the auras will work as tiers, some might become very important in the game. It's basically like a ring of kinship, so within some time, I can see clans who demand their members to have specific auras.

Giant Rocks falling from the sky
Or as in Utopia, the flying island that could be used to crush the land underneath it to show its supremacy. :P

Giant Rocks falling from the sky
So you scammed someone? Not really, he knew I was joking about the thingy, I was standing next to the rock for about an hour joking about (it being my best friend Pete, coming over from the rockdimension etc). It was just for the giggles, and that appears to be why he gave it to me, I offered to give it back to him. But he declined, so I guess he just gave it because he liked my talking. :P But maybe I shouldn't have brought this up, looking neutrally at it, it indeed seems scamming. :/

Giant Rocks falling from the sky
Maybe the places of the broken pieces will be connected with the citadels themselves? I mean: I can't see me travelling always tot the clan camp every time I want to visit my citadel. So we get some portals there to teleport right to it, seeing as the rocks fell right next to some popular places as GE, Duel Arena, Edge, Lumy, CW and Daemonheim.
