Who else here has friends at school or other places, but really doesn't hang out with them? It's also referred to as having "no life". Personally, that's me. I'm very secret as to what I do behind closed doors. I have a lot of friends and other places, but I don't hang out with them. If my friends invite me to do something with them, I'll say sure, but then just not pursue it and just not actually do anything. (Example: I didn't smoke weed with my friend over the weekend at his house, but I said I was busy at the last minute, and now he thinks I'm just not big on weed.) I might make excuses, or imply that I'm doing something over the weekend. In reality, I sit in my room, browse forums, listen to music, play guitar, etc. I don't ask girls for their numbers (or ask guys; I'm straight), or don't call/text people often, even if I have their number. This weekend I'm going to see The Expendables (in 3-D) with two friends of mine. I'm sixteen still, but my one older friend is driving us to the mall and he's going to buy the tickets. Either that or we'll just buy tickets to something else and then go to it. Meh. It's the first time in about a year or two that I've actually done something on the weekend. Maybe it'll get me out of my rut. Anyone else, or am I unique?

Any examples? I am confused as well. Earthy demands examples.

You'll pay for your entire circle? What idiots. Yeah that's what they assume. Wow. We might lend some money here and there, but for the most part everybody pays for their meal in my circle. It happens more often then not too, which is what really bugs me. They're great guys and girls it's just really annoying. I think I've only not paid once. And that time was when we went to my work to eat and I provided the 50% discount on everything, even then I still got some crap for it. I guess it can't be helped though, so whatever. Would that be 'rented' friends? :| Are you meaning that they are friends that only hang out with me for my money? If so: No. I have been friends with them for years, way before I got my job. They asked for money back then too, it's just worse now. If I borrow money, I always feel guilty afterwards and pay it as soon as I can. Am I the only person who feels guilty for that?

The worst part about this is that the family offered to pay the fine right then and there, but the firemen still wouldn't accept it. However, they decided to spray the boundaries of the family's lawn to protect their (paying) neighbors. -.-

Build a large-scale replica of myself, bronzed, in the style of a Greek god. Become recognized and respected in the underground gangster-rap musical subgenre. Learn at least four foreign languages. Hug a tiger (yes, I stole one of Ross's). :D Create an electric super-animal, like an electric mongoose. Buy a gigantic mansion, and it'll have a large, seemingly-endless hallway. If you try to go back, the doors are locked. As you walk down it, lights will turn on one by one, matching your pace -- thusly, you never truly see the end. When you reach the end, all of the lights shut off. Yeah. Make a helpful, widely-used, innovative invention. Publish a book. Be recognized in my field of expertise, whatever that may be. Be a good person, or try to be. :P

I don't see why you would hate the girl for doing that. I do that all the time. At my work, a lot of my coworkers order in pizza sometimes, and they'll say to me, "We got pepperoni, but you can have some if you want," assuming that I would be fine with removing the meat or fat. I would never, ever pick off pepperoni from a pizza, mop up the juice, and then turn around and eat it. That's like asking a vegetarian to drink a cup of chicken broth, just because it technically doesn't have meat in it. And for what it's worth, while your friend EJ's reason is perfectly valid, I find that Random Girl's reasoning for being a vegetarian is far more honorable and respectable. The real thing that annoys me about it is the whole "I see the animal's tortured face and feel super guilty D:" thing. That just isn't true. It isn't like they have some psychic perception that tells them whether or not they're eating meat, nor even what kind of animal it is. If she eats a school lunch, does she see a raccoon? Of course not. It might also help to add that this person is a daoist, who believes that the "Universe" will take care of everything, and that you can sit back and everything takes care of itself. :\ It's really the whole mindset that I dislike.

Earthy forgot that I'm a nobody, so technically I'm on his list. :thumbup: Haha. From my friends, I hear I'm a good guy... which is who I try to be. I'm not some arrogant [puncture] who holds everyone to really high standards, I just haven't met anyone who I can trust absolutely.

I'm excellent at learning languages, and pick up things very, very quickly, idioms included. :) It's a subject that really interests me. Also, I apparently (according to others) have a very good imagination. :P Some kid told me I inspired him to write a book (lol, not sure if he really did, but it's good for credit, right?).

None. Ouch. From other people, though, I've heard that I'm generally honest, a great guy, funny, good to be around, etc. For that reason, I think that I may be on some people's lists, but nobody is on mine.

In real life, I talk very much like that. I roll with people who are, in actuality, pretty poor -- I'm not doing so hot myself, but I believe my mannerisms have overall been lowered because of my continued interaction with them. However, I don't see it as much of a big deal -- they're good friends, loyal, and they'll back you up. Plus, they're mostly pretty chill people, if only occasionally more violent than "middle-class" or "better" (pssh) kids. I'm lower-class/lower middle-class, but I'm still pretty damned smart about my decisions, though some may consider me a little rough around the edges, so to speak. :x

To anyone now talking about college, I recommend a book called "Debt-Free University", which I am reading.

I'm sure that I'd be all for a revolution, so long as Britain wasn't willing to give us representation in parliament.

Deja vu to what I posted a few pages back. Apparently it's a popular saying among teenage girls. Who'd have thought. ;P And its not that I care for a girl to be, say... book smart. I just like talking to girls who like to discuss things and maybe not always think about things in a close-minded orthodox way. I just like to have interesting discussions for the sake of interesting discussions, and I can't have that when the girl doesn't even bother to think. True. Factual knowledge isn't that big of a deal, so long as they can actually use their head. (And yes, pun intended. Oh snap.)

Oh, also, smart and interesting chicks that are moderately attractive. So far, I've met one person in my highschool career... and then I had to move to PA. Damn. It's like, you get so many chicks who you ask a question to and they'll just go "I'm not smart, hahaha". I find that irritating. :\

It feels epic nais when someone plays with my hair :lol: I also love getting my haircut just because it feels nice lol. I like that feeling after you get a haircut when you wash your hair and it feels like.. there's nothing at all. I know that feeling quite well. Last year I went from a stoner-cut to shaving my head (ROTC). It was a really eerie feeling, and I had people touching my head every day for about a week. On topic: body parts.

I have no problem with vegetarianism it itself... in fact, I find the concept fine. However, people have differing reasons for it, and it turns out that I just plain hate most vegetarians. My friend EJ was a vegetarian because that's how his dad raised him, but he ate meat during Thanksgiving or whatever (his dad was fine with it). With that one friend as the exception, all other vegetarians that I've met, I've hated. For instance, there's a girl in my class who wouldn't eat the pizza from our school (ordered from Papa John's, not school-made) because it had pepperoni on it. I asked why, and she said she was a vegetarian and couldn't even take the meat off and eat it, nor could she wipe off the meat-juice with a napkin or anything of the sort. She says she's a vegetarian because whenever she eats meat, she "sees the face of the animal that died". -.-

While you drive on government funded roads, attend government funded schools, are protected by government funded soldiers, are allowed freedom by government laws, able to buy foreign goods due to government regulations...the list goes on and on. But no, you don't owe the government anything. No Sir. Confession: There are taxes for those already. The original reason for the Income Tax was as a "temporary" measure for war, to help fund the government's bloody business. Edit: We really don't know all about what the government spends our money on. Hell, we had $700 billion to waste, and we keep borrowing from other countries. I think someone should be less liberal with government spending and take out the "humanity" taxes -- i.e., Welfare, government college scholarships, etc. I also think that if someone doesn't pay taxes (illegal immigrants, cough) they should be deported and their (presumably American-born) children should be taken to a foster home.
