  1. "Smoke = Air" Makes sense. Have you ever seen smoke in an airless environment? Well I know I never have. "Shadow = Earth" Also obvious. Rocks have shadows, and they're opaque; they cause shadows too. "Blood = Fire" Well duh. Have you ever felt blood? It's warm. You know what else is warm? "Ice = Water" I think this is kinda stupid. Jagex finally had a chance to undo this idiotic mistake. Water isn't always cold, Jagex. You aren't fooling anyone.
  2. Opens on the 26th. Trust me, if it was open now, you would be hearing a lot more noise about it.
  3. Notice that abyssal whip is "damage 300 bonus 700" and rune crossbow is "bonus 500". I assume it doesn't show a damage value because it uses ammo, and that probably is where the damage comes from. I'm not entirely sure what "bonus" means, but I'm guessing it affects the damage your special abilities do. Damage is for auto attacks, damage+bonus is for abilities?
  4. I kinda like the idea of armor switching cooldown. It enforces people to stick with one combat style during a fight, instead of just switching through the triangle as they please. But I hope the cooldown isn't a huge detriment that makes it pointless to switch armor, but it should make armor switching more of a risky decision to make. It gives a short term disadvantage, but it could get you a longer term benefit if your opponent's style is trumped by what you switched to.
  5. So today I finally got sick of soloing. EoE was a ghost town, so I decided to try some OFFICIAL DUNGEONEERING WORLDS. I know, I know, I hear they're terrible, full of shit players -- but I decided to try it out anyway. And the first dungeon... ...was a success! Sure, everyone else was hardcore survival prodding, but at least people were giving out and following commands!! Things went quite well (except for some dipshit who failed a mime room FIVE GODDAMN TIMES), and I was very happy with the outcome. Then I pushed my luck. I tried another dungeon. THERE IS NO GOD. OR AT LEAST THERE WAS BUT HE'S TOTALLY GONE NOW. THE NOOBS KILLED HIM. THE NOOOOBS. Yeah, that's right. Two ragequitters. First one left after dying twice to a mercenary commander. Second just slowly faded away as the universe realised it [bleep]ed up by ever putting him there in the first place. A few highlights: -5 minute solo ghost room courtsey of yours truly. Nobody came, I gave no [bleep]s and proceeded to bash so many ghosts. -Ranger danger!! Some idiot thought it was okay to use a saggitarian shortbow. It isn't. He's going to hell, I assure you. -Side note, the very same bow bro was also an accomplished chef. In the middle of a guardian door room he started a fire and started cooking. I saw him dropping burnt giant flatfish on the ground. It was the most depressing thing I've ever seen. FUN FACT: I've seen a man suffocate his own baby. -Some moron decided to do the impossible and be "at the other side of the dungeon" within the first 60 seconds after GO when we needed him to open up a door only he could. He took 2 minutes to get back to the start. You do the math. -Yes, I killed the boss with retribution. At least that was pretty cool. I am never dungeoneering with randumbs again.
  6. :) Awesome, thanks! "UN"SPAM: H-YEAH!
  7. I wonder what exactly it means by "100% weapon damage". Does it mean it always guarantees you hit your maximum normal hit? Or does it just mean you deal normal damage for that attack? That way 300% would mean it deals up to triple damage, but not guaranteed?
  8. Looks awesome. I love the red and green motif. Those ladders leading down into a glowing green oblivion get me especially excited.
  9. That is one badass picture! Congratulations! You really should've made a Zaros symbol with the purple fires. And if I may be so bold to ask, can you check if glowing eye auras work with right, left, or double eyepatches? Everyone I ask just says "i dunno" and "i dun wanna check".
  10. Surprisingly not. They do complain about pretty much everything else, though.
  11. I'm anticipating this as well. I'd rather have fun with combat and pay attention than AFK. If you'd rather just AFK, please get out. I don't want Jagex worrying about the game taking "too much attention" and dumbing things down for AFKers. Fun fact: It took me about 15 minutes to write out this shitty post. It better be worth it.
  12. You must realize they aren't just "multiplying everything by 10". They're reworking absolutely everything. The ~15k lifepoint cap and a way to deal 5000 damage doesn't mean shit if we don't know the first thing about how the new combat works. As stated before, everything we've seen is liable to change. That is the whole point of a beta test after all.
  13. Not only is it because of royal dragonhide, it's also due to the anticipation of the Combat Evolution Beta test coming up. People are speculating drastic changes in the combat system, so popular armor and weapons' prices are topsy turvy at the moment.
  14. Okay, it's already been confirmed that the combat formula is going to be changed. Now can we STOP MAKING NEW THREADS ABOUT THIS SUBJECT?
  15. You all realize Jagex might pull a fast one and reintroduce these fish masks to the Squeal at some point in the future? They dolled up the Squeal with the "Neptune" theme; they probably won't just throw it away to never be used again. Who's to say there won't be another update that would fit such a theme?
  16. Guess what? These fish masks are never going to be worth anything. Compare today's Runescape population to that of 2001's, when partyhats etc. were being dropped for the first time. We're probably going to have thousands upon thousands of these fish masks coming into the game every day for a few months. Everyone's going to be hanging onto them "waiting for them to be worth billions". That day is never going to come. Everyone will already have one of these ugly ass masks. Nobody will want them. End of story.
  17. Hey, I was wondering, does the FSH bonus work on sentinels if you're on a dagannoth task?
  18. As Dax and Kimberly said, if I didn't "waste" my time with Runescape, it probably would have been on something else. However, if I could magically replace all the time I spent playing Runescape (or any videogame for that matter) with something more worthwhile or constructive, yeah I probably would. But if I was able to turn back time, I must be a wizard or something. As a wizard I would stop dwelling on the past and take over the world. Hey, maybe my experiences in Runescape could help me further my wizard career!

At least I can get good practice on them because it doesn't take 62 waves of boring, brainless bullshit to reach them. The worst part about Jad is you can only get one go at him after an hour of killing swarms of wimpy-ass monsters.
  20. Using a range top instead of gloves might be a better idea. I'm not sure if the accuracy > the chance to get double bolt shots, because the QBD has such low range defence. Oh, and red glowing eyes >>> yellow glowing eyes.
  21. Yes. I understand why they make these descisions, "good" or "bad". While I may not agree with all of them, I still understand their strategies and I respect them.
  22. Fill Spottier cape --> Spottiest cape Empty Spottier cape --> Spotless cape Clearly this was intended as Jagex's way of making the hunter capes worth using over the new wicked ones.
  23. This idea is bad and you should feel bad.
  24. I think "Could this be one of the elder dragons?" may have been intended as a joke.

After my frightening experience with polypore staff last time (the splashes haunt me), I decided to go with ranged. AAAND... Probably the last time I'll be doing the Fight Caves. All the tension and dramatic buildup to the final bout against Jad gave me one too many nervous ulcers. I got my second cape for the Kiln -- so long TzTok, hello Tokhaar!
