  1. Remember, by beating Song From the Deep, you unlock a "passive damage reduction" against the Queen Black Dragon. I thought it came a bit out of left field at first, but now it sounds like they gave us it for a reason. Sounding more and more like a requirement than a perk. I thought Song From the Deep was a requirement to fight her in the first place, but I guess it isn't technically required. I'd imagine you'd go into the QBD's lair and get one shot killed without the damage reduction buff, then get told you need some kind of magical protection from the quest. Just a way to make the QBD that much more threatening feeling I suppose.

  3. Does he remind anyone else of Captain Price from Call of Duty? You mean in the sense that they both have facial hair and wear hats? In that case, he looks just like Sean Connery! If anything, trim the facial hair and you'd probably get Adrian Brody. Trim it more and you get BRODYQUEST. BRODYQUEST for Runescape's 200th quest -- confirmed for 2012 -- make it happen.
  4. Interesting idea. I'd imagine it could work as an addition to the task system. Perhaps they would be under a "special" category, where each "achievement" has its own unique rewards.
  5. Last time the boss drops were doubled, were charms affected? I'm wondering if that mechanic would carry over to a Chaos Tunnel waterfiends task to get double charms.
  6. A woman eating a slice of watermelon. Clearly.
  7. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Leaks Apparently there were leaks of new "action icons". Most likely pertaining to the upcoming "big combat rework".
  8. If you don't need the money right now then you should save up 100. Once you have 100, then you should figure out the prices.
  9. They said bonfires could give a health bonus and extra cooking xp. I'm not exactly sure what the mean; perhaps the "health bonus" is referring to cooking food on the bonfires. Either way, it sounds like this will not only be a good way to train, but also might be a genuine use for firemaking. P.S. I've been suggesting something like this for years... Big fires that multiple players can join in, and some kind of boost when cooking on player made fires. Took 'em long enough.
  10. Whoops, my bad. On the topic of Runespan: I think all of the rewards are kinda crappy. All the robes do is upgrade your hood to give you a bit more essence/runes per day - nothing spectacular. The weight reduction is pointless, not when compared to agile armor, but weight reduction is just pointless in general. After you reach 0kg weight, your run energy isn't affected further. Usually when you're running around you don't have much stuff weighing you down anyway. Thankfully, you don't need to wear the robes for the wicked hood upgrades. They do look pretty nice when recolored (to purple) however. The staves are frivolous and unnecessary. You might argue charging the staff with a spell can "save space" for vengeance, contact npc, blood barrage etc. This saves you a few spaces. Hardly worth it. Not to mention, you need to be on the right spellbook so that of course limits the uses to niche at best. The highest leveled one requires 90 rc and 25k points, but has total crap magic bonuses. The spell absorption supposedly activates less that 1% of the time. The massive pouch might be worth using if for some reason you feel like actually crafting runes with your runecrafting skill (in other words: never). The upgradable "prestige" whatever-the-hells are dumb. I kinda wish I could undo my "rank 7" purchase. The robes look better without the dinky symbols glued all over the place.
  11. I'd really love a way to use chat when I'm in an NPC conversation. It's especially frustrating when you get a mime random event and suddenly you can't chat anymore. You used to at least be able to private message people, but now that doesn't work anymore. And if hiding the chat box could be used to save space for smaller screen modes, I'm all for it.
  12. I've done hundreds of clues scrolls, and 99% of them have been shit. Deal with it.
  13. I find it hilarious that he thinks "90% of the players who log in use it every day" really means anything. It's practically a button you can press and get free stuff, who wouldn't use it?? Well, apparently 10% of members and 30% of free players don't use it, which is more significant than those that do, because these 10/30% turned down the option to press a button and receive free shit. It's like going out of your way to leave the toilet seat up just to piss someone off. Except by leaving the toilet seat up, you miss a chance at winning a million dollars. That's just how much they hate Jagex.

  15. You know what they say, a good politician can talk for hours and say nothing.
  16. INFP I play to have fun and relax, however I'm also driven by vague goals such as levels and items etc. I see Runescape as an anti-social way of socializing. The internet allows me to express myself freely without repercussions, unlike real life socializing. So yeah, sometimes I act like a douche just because I can. But at least I try to do it subtly; just enough to derive pleasure from it myself, but not enough to seriously piss anyone off. Don't get me wrong, I usually try to joke with people via my shenanigans, not just for my own selfish needs. But if someone starts escalating, I [bleep]ing go for it. I enjoy conflict.
  17. He got pools of blood in his stomach.
  18. I'd like to replace my old picture, please. TIF name: Cheefoo Runescape name: Cheefoo Picture: Link: http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/1992/tifpic2012v4.png I still can't find how to add transparency, but I've made the effort to clean up the background. Tell me if there are any problems.
  19. Gigantic [bleep]ing dissapointment.
  20. Strange... If you click in a very specific spot just to the right of the summoning button, you can get an option to cast a scroll regardless of what your left click is. Also, as you can see, right clicking it brings up a menu with only the scroll and attack options. This would actually be a useful feature if the "hidden button" wasn't only ONE GODDAMN PIXEL WIDE. Wether it be a glitch, or an unintended peek at a scrapped (or upcoming) interface update, it sure would be nice if it weren't so microscopic.
  21. If it was a DDoS attack I don't think the workaround they provided would have done diddly. Doesn't this point to a different issue? Can't remember how it's referred to, all my (limited as it was) web knowledge flew out the window years ago. Isn't this what happens to all webpages that are getting hacked or DDOS'd? Just asking, I am a complete noob on this. This is pretty much how it works.
  22. I thought it could never be moved. Guess that doesn't mean its indestructible. But still how the heck did it get moved back? Bilrach said his ritual stone in Daemonheim was the "original". So this leads us to believe the stone in the wilderness where the most recent ritual was held was some sort of duplicate. I'm not sure what exactly this entails, but maybe that's why Bilrach was able to skip so many rituals without becoming decrepit. Perhaps he can use the stone in Daemonheim as a link to the other stone, and sap some of the ritual power without actually attending. I'm also pretty sure Bilrach is still alive. As said before, the strange power very well may have been from Moia. Either she was killed, or Bilrach did something much worse. Actually, during Nadir, I quit at one point and came back via checkpoint, and still got 100% at the end. I [bleep]ed up and used a portal too soon, and I ended up running out of power in the upcoming fight. I just went back to the lobby, logged back in, and resumed from the checkpoint and continued on to get 100%.
  23. See the future... future? "Future" sounds like "few chair'! Few chair, as in not enough chairs - perhaps referring to the party game musical chairs. OH MY GOD MUSIC SKILL CONFIRMED!
  24. I'm 89 slayer, very close to 90. Once I get it, would this increase my chance of seeing edimmus much at all? Are blood necklaces noticeably more common now after the slayer spawn increase, to the same degree as night spiders (and ssh by extension)?
