I had the same problem as you when I started high school. One thing that worked for me was being completely honest, and saying something along the lines of "Hi, I really don't talk to people very much, but this summer I told myself I would make friends with people. Would you mind being my friend?" But say it with confidence, and show that you won't be hurt at all if they said no. It should work most of the time, and if you look good and say it with confidence it should work with most girls. I know it's easier said than done, I've been there. But it's totally worth it; friends are awesome. :P

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I just decided to put it here in General Discussion. If you think this thread is stupid, then don't post and it will fall to page two. Simple as that. Everyone knows how difficult it is to get the full gold armor from Castle Wars. But most people aren't really sure how hard it is, they just assume really difficult. I've decided to compare it to getting level 99 in a skill, to see how long it really takes. First off, to get EVERY reward from Lanthus you would need 3259 tickets (curse you red and blue decorative sword for making the number odd!). To reach level 99 in a skill you need 13,034,431 exp. That makes one ticket equivalent to 3,999.5 exp. I know you're probably thinking, "Wow! That's up to 8k exp in a game! Training must be really fast!" Well, it really isn't. We'll assume that an average player that plays castle wars every now and then in his homeworld wins every other game. That's two tickets an hour, or 8k exp an hour. An experienced player with a clan will probably win nearly every game he's in, ending with around 16k exp an hour. And of course he's not going to win every game, so to be fair we can assume that he'll be receiving around 13k exp per hour overall. That's comparable to getting 99 in Runecrafting, if you don't use the ZMI. However Runecrafting is extremely profitable, and Castle Wars is the opposite. Everyone loves to barrage at Castle Wars, which is a huge but fun money drain. Even if you don't barrage at all, you'll still probably end up paying a few million from castle wars bracelets and repairing barrows armor. Now for the fun part - figuring out which piece of armor is at which level! We're going to assume that the player buys the cheapest items first and the most expensive items last. Since two tickets is 8,000 exp, that would mean the red and blue decorative helm requires 16,000 exp. That's right between level 31 and level 32! The red and blue decorative platebody would be at 29 tickets (after buying the helm, the sword, the platelegs and the kiteshield), equaling 116,000 exp, putting it between level 51 and 52. Here's a list of all the items and their levels. I'm going to be rounding up with the levels. Red and blue Helm - Level 32 Red and blue Sword - Level 40 Red and blue Platelegs/Kiteshield - Level 45 Red and blue Platelegs/Kiteshield - Level 49 Red and blue Platebody - Level 52 Saradomin/Zamorak Hood - Level 55 Saradomin/Zamorak Hood - Level 57 Saradomin/Zamorak Cape - Level 58 Saradomin/Zamorak Cape - Level 60 Silver and blue Helm - Level 65 Silver and blue Sword - Level 69 Silver and blue Platelegs/Kiteshield - Level 72 Silver and blue Platelegs/Kiteshield - Level 75 Silver and blue Platebody - Level 77 Gold and blue Helm - Level 85 Gold and blue Sword - Level 90 Gold and blue Platelegs/Kiteshield - Level 94 Gold and blue Platelegs/Kiteshield - Level 97 Gold and blue Platebody - Level 99 Of course, there was a LOT of assuming in getting these figures. Each player will take a different amount of time getting the full gold; some people will take ten hours longer than someone else, some people might take one hundred. It all depends on luck and skill. I never hold respect for any of the achievements in this game, because nothing is really 'difficult', some just take longer to get than others. The only thing having 99 slayer over 99 cooking proves is that the master of slayer has put more time into the game. However, if I were to 'respect' one achievement in this game, it would be full gold and blue armor. If you want to figure out your Castle Wars level, just take the amount of tickets you have and multiply that by 4,000. Then go to this table and find the two levels your experience is between. The higher levels is your Castle Wars level.

10th August 2009 - Fur 'n' Seek (and Patch Notes)

It's not fake at all. Why would you assume it's fake? And the slayer exp and the teleport look nice. -
My favorites :P

You guys are lucky. I'm 16 and if I don't watch what I eat I can gain ten pounds in a month. I really wish I could eat what I want while staying in shape. :(

Two years ago I bought a Spider III, after the wonderful employee at guitar center recommended it to me. I thought it was the best amp in the world. Fast forward a year and a half, my parents notice I'm saving up for a new amp so they cleverly go out and buy one from guitar center for Christmas. Problem? They listened to the employee and got a Marshall MG halfstack. I'll admit, it's tone is pretty decent, but that's it. It has one tone. They won't let me sell it either, because they paid $600 for it. :(

I hope something big does happen. Not something to end the world, but just something big enough so all the paranoid conspirators can get to say "I TOLD YOU SO!!" Also, I know at least four people that are turning 18 on the 21st of 2012 :P

Like kcdragon said, it will just be a minor detail that students will have to memorize for their tests. I can imagine some future high school conversation going something like this: "Hey, how did you do on the test?" "The only problem I missed was the iPod one. Stupid iPods, they're just music players, why would we need to know about music players?!" "I don't know. They've got a stupid name too - I mean, who would call a music player an iPod? Where's the pod? What's the i got to do with it?!" "No clue. I really don't like studying the technology era. I mean, some of it's interesting, but I find the first half of the 22nd century much more interesting to learn about." "Yeah I totally understand. Hey, want to go to the Tele-Hub after school with me and Jared? We're going to go to South-East Africa and zap some monkeys!" "Hell yes I do!"

Need some 99 mage methods... Currently 90.

I agree. If you can last 3 hours of superglass make and get 120-150k exp, then you must be crazy. I feel the same way about plank make; it's cheap and fast exp, but it's way too boring. Not as bad as superglass make, but it's worse than alching. -
I did pull the "sorry, friends list is full :\" once. Then I felt like a douche for the rest of the day. Now if I don't want to be their friend, I just say "I'd rather not, sorry". Lying really gets to me for some reason. :P

It doesn't look like those too much. If you were trying to copy it though, you should have added more. The wrigley's pictures looked like the packet of gum was placed in an environment; yours just looks like it's hanging out with its strawberry friend. Still looks good, I just think it's a bit plain.

Whenever I go to a guitar store I always write three back-up riffs down on a piece of paper, to combat riff amnesia. You know, when you're sitting there playing the $2,000 guitars and all of a sudden don't know what to play. It's even worse when you're the only one in the store playing  .

I think cigarettes smell really bad, so I don't see myself becoming a smoker in the future.

System of a Down. As much as I used to love the band, they have such as weird name. #-o Less Than Jake. The name's apparently an inside joke the drummer's family had. Great band though.

I think you'll like what you're going to hear, Silversword. The last song of the album is actually going to be in three parts, and is going to be accompanied by an orchestra. It's supposed to be real epic. The composer of the band, Matt Bellamy, stated in an interview a few months ago that if there was a song to remember him by, it would probably be "this symphonic monster" they're releasing on their new album. Also, apparently they're also trying a song without guitar, and with "timbaland-esque" vocals. I think it's going to be an interesting album!

Today I decided to find out how much it REALLY costs to make one ramekin of creme brulee, and to see how badly fancy restaurants are ripping people off. The ingredients required to make creme brulee are: Half a stick of vanilla Two cups of heavy cream Four Eggs 1/3 cup of sugar, plus the sugar you put over the top to burn it. To be generous I'll round it up to 1 cup of sugar (I like to add extra anyways!) So I checked the prices of these items at a grocery store. Again, to be fair, I decided to go to the more expensive store in the area. Since the chefs will probably be buying high quality items anyways, they might be more expensive than the grocery kind. Two sticks of vanilla cost $7.00 Four cups of cream cost $5.29 One dozen of eggs cost $2.69 Nine cups of sugar cost $3.19 That means, the ingredients used when making a batch of four equal... Half a stick of vanilla - $1.75 Two cups of cream - $2.65 Four eggs - $0.90 One cup of sugar - $0.35 Total cost = $5.65 But wait! Those ingredients are for a set of four ramekins! So now we've got to divide everything by four to get the cost of one ramekin, what you pay for in a restaurant. One ramekin = $1.41 But restaurants sometimes charge you up to $15! That's crazy! Just goes to show it's better to make your own food. Creme brulee isn't that difficult either!

I think the smiley faces and the rock are my favorites. I really like your style, it reminds me of newgrounds animations. :P

Don't craft deaths. If you want exp, go to the zmi. If you want cash, go with double cosmics (300-350k/hr).

Ha! I've only 13 songs in my iTunes! I've never understood how people can store more than 25+ artists on their mp3 players. :?

I've never played final fantasy but I've heard good things about it. What's a good game to start with?

I've done that exact same thing before! Sometimes, when I'm home alone, I like to wear those sleeves you get on your coffee cups as hats...

I'm a huge Zelda fanboy. The games are just so awesome. Majora's Mask is brilliant. Other games I like far too much: Fire Emblem series, Tales of series, Pokemon series, and the Soul Calibur series.

My third skillcape, Cooking

I bet that skillcape would look nice with a purple outfit. :| 6/10 on the level though
