Best of Gaming: RPG's
Tales of Symphonia was the first RPG I played. Tales of Vesperia had the best combat in a RPG IMO. I actually had fun grinding to level 200 in it.. But my favorite RPG would be Fire Emblem 7: The Blazing Blade (aka Fire emblem).

High level F2P Magic PKing now sucks
You could try manually casting, then right as you begin the cast animation, you switch menus readying for your surprise 2hd.

Auto-Retaliate
My auto-retaliate never activated while following people, either. And I almost always have it on. I've never really thought anything of it, but it doesn't really seem to make sense to me. Oh well, I can take a few hits. Actually I love this about follow+auto-retaliate. when running through the wild with a group, and you get attacked by a rev, you won't run away from the group and lose food, and/or pots needed for KBD or the Chaos ele. But if you didn't want to run away from them, why not turn your auto-retaliate off in the first place? Laziness :(

Auto-Retaliate
*edit* I have no clue how this post ended up on this thread, I clicked reply to the mage rant thread, and somehow when I clicked 'post reply' it ended up here. To bad there's no delete post option on this forum. Maybe a mod could do it if he happens by here?

Oh, you're OCD too?
My inventory is the shining paragon of tidy, and symmetrical. My bank used to be perfect, but switching from P2P, to F2P, to P2P, and then back to F2P has really messed up my bank.

noobs >.>
I just answer their questions, and give them some good advice. sometimes I go out of my way and show them where they need to go. Now it's when they say "Add me" is when I: A; tell them my friends list is full (it is in F2p), or B; teleport away. All to help the greater good of Runescape. Seriously, I hate it when people tell some noob off, then turn around and PM their friend/post on a forum "What happen to the good ol'days when RS had a better community?" @Cacmypants: *looks at sig* Fire Emblem FTW!

I need your help, all ye people who know interwebs design!
I have figured it out. I have to down load a plug-in for php to work, but there is no point in me doing that. Also php code is not working online for me, because my web host (freewebs aka webs.com) does not support php unless your a paying member. :( @sbrideau2000: I was just showing that even the most basic of hp was not working for me.

CSS's can't add new lines (text, links, images, etc) to the page, can it? I thought it could only modify (color, size, etc) what was already there. *edit* Not even the <?php echo "Text"; ?> is working, do I have to download a PHP plugin?

Yeah, I'm not to good with CSS's. I need to read up on them some more. Thanks a lot for the help though. :) *edit* It's not loading the "nav.htm". I have already checked and made sure that it's not a typo or something like a capital letter. I'm thinking something is wrong, because when I click "viewscource" in Firefox what i see is: <!--SIDE BAR START--> <?php include("nav.htm"); ?> <!--SIDE BAR END--> Which I know is not right, because your not even supposed to be able to see php code when you view the source. I have even googled your example code, and found a couple of tutorials. I have copy/pasted all the code from those tutorials, and still it won't work. Do I have to compile php or something?

personalized shops is the very LAST straw jagex
I'm pretty sure they were high in demand prior to the update, which is why they always maintained an above average price among the elemental runes. With the stores that provided infinite runes gone, supply < demand. RC is the main source I believe. BTW, why is the spacing for quoted posts so large and unnecessary  If that were true, then why did fire runes drop from 10 to 7 after the update? Fire runes are not used in many popular offensive spells, any non-combat spell that needs fire runes you can just use a staff. Fire runes are dropped in mass quantity's by many NPC's, in one Fire giant task you get around 600 fire runes, 200 in one Black dragon trip. Fire runes are the highest level F2P thing that you can Runecraft, thus many people train RC by making them.

My website has a side bar that's on almost every page. It contains links to navigate the site and stuff. Every time I edit this side bar I have to go through and add the changes to very single page, which is annoying, and takes a long time. Does anyone know how I can make it so that if I edit the side bar on one page, it will have the same changes on every other page? Do I need to use PHP for this, or does it work with HTML, or XTML? Is it a script? I don't know anything about javascript or PHP, but I do know how to copy, and paste code. :P Like lets say I have this as a side bar: <!--SIDE BAR START--> <tr> <td valign="top" bgcolor="silver"> <font size="5"><strong>Text</strong></font> <br/><hr> <font size="4"><strong>Text</strong></font> <font size="2"> <br/><br/> Text <br/><a href="URL">Link text</a> <br/><br/> </font> <img src="./pics/spacer.gif" width="1" height="100%"> </td> <!--SIDE BAR END--> If I want to change it, like by adding a link, or fixing a spelling error etc, but not have to go and edit each page manually to add the changes.

will jagex fix inflation?
Alright you guys are right. Your basically saying: "When the excise man comes they will hide there real wealth with off shore banking." So it seems that the only real fix is to remove all gp drop from PvP. Some players would quite, but meh if you follow the PKer stereotypes (they're egotistic jerks) then that won't be a big loss community wise. However it's bad business to screw over a part of your customer base. Oh wait, didn't Nintendo leave out a large part of their customer base, but they gained many more new customers? So Jagex could just start catering to other types of gamers, and ditch the PvP crowd. Jagex has dug themselves quite the nice hole haven't they? The only ways out will hurt part of their player base.

Runescape Machinima
But without hentai artists, America would lose the only thing it doesn't outsource to China D: And what would that-girl-who-hates-me-now do without her furry?! It would be blasphemy; it would be madness! You might was well add hentai doujinshi. I [bleep]ing hate it when those Guthix damned doujin artists make a story that is so anti-canonical that it makes me want to vomit. If they want to make yaoi, they can just go find their own drawings instead of stealing other people's hard work and turning it into pornography. Notice I didn't say yuri. There's this small percentage in my brain that says it's the best thing since sliced bread. I need to strap that part of my brain onto a dwarf death knight and do explosive shot target practice on him. Hopefully it will work. That percentage seems to have about 9,500 resilience. Doujin artists and anti-canonical fans... how can I forget them? :wall: That reminds me. The only other thing that I do not want is people making up couples. Some couples in other series that the fanboys/fangirls make are so unfitting, it sticks in my head and it gives me an unpleasant feeling about them. Others are just downright wrong. Few are good though, and this actually made me like the characters more. Please don't make Runescape couples in machinima, fanboys/fangirls, PLEASE. Yeah, I loath non-canon fan-based pairings.

Why can't F2P have...?
Still, P2P has all the skills, and F2P only has 15. It's a silly idea to say that if someone got a 99 in F2P they will never become members, because members will still have everything. People will still subscribe no matter what. Jagex established that they will put more commitment to the free game as well. I agree with the stats being toned down, btw. But one Trimmed skill cape is no different then 15 or 20 skill capes. It's still an endgame defense item.

will jagex fix inflation?
There is one way to fix inflation.... Taxes! Every day 10 percent or your total GP will be removed, unless you have not gained GP in the last 5 days. If you have over 100 million. then you will lose 3% of your GP every day no matter what, unless you gain GP. The rich will lose hundreds of millions in a mere week!! The poor will barely lose anything. GP will be worth much more in value. The rich will baww, and I can tell them to "CRY SOME MORE" Everyone wins! (except for the greedy). I am being serious by the way. I really believe this idea could work. Sorry about the parts of my suggestion where I come off like a jerk, but those happen to be the best parts of the idea.

Runescape Machinima
Stopping you there since WoW players can bash RuneScape for being a crappy game due to clicking for everything. I was playing Star Craft, it was just so boring, all it was, was a bunch of pointless clicking! Blizzard sucks! Clicking argument = logical fallacy

Runescape Machinima
I always enjoy your well thought out posts. Machinima in general is not helping to ruin peoples views of Runescape. It's moreover Machinima.com that is the bigest part of problem. I think this is what you are saying right? Yeah, greedy people ruin everything. This is why I was a bit disappointed when Excl joined that group.

Removal of new high level potions in PvP
Wait, so if you have the requirements to use it, we should always assume you're using it? Everyone with 75 Defense and Prayer is at a disadvantage of their own fault for not using a Divine Spirit Shield then. Damage calculations should always factor 30% damaged prevented, because if you choose not to use a DSS because you can't afford to or you prefer 2h weapons, then it's your fault. This game isn't made for pures. It's designed so players level up as they play, and *hopefully* earn themselves nice bonuses to use with their levels. It is a choice, yes, to not go make 100M to buy an Armadyl Godsword. But hey, it is a choice to not go make and spend 300M training Herblore. This is the problem. This isn't true. These potions are almost useless during PvM. God Wars - You spend so much time getting kill count, searching for a world, and waiting for respawns that the few seconds you may save are entirely moot. Besides, using Extreme Attack / Strength / Range means either you'll need to use a lot of them (less room for brews / restores), or you can't use brews. In either case, that results in less healing, which meas less kills. Which means the amount of time you waste getting ready for the trip is spread over fewer kills, mathematically, you are taking longer. And who mages at GWD? Remember, spawn times - even if you do use magic, most of your potion will be wasted between spawns. We kill too fast already. Same deal for Special, you regain more than enough between kills to justify the waste of space. Dagannoth Kings - Even worse than GWD. The potions are totally overkill, and barely hasten your trip. Extreme Magic is good, but again, spawn times eat up your potion. And again, kills per trip is paramount - at a glance, 40 kills in a 1 hour trip is better than 75 kills in a 2 hour trip, but this is simply not true once you factor the time you spend reaching there, setting up your inventory, clearing your inventory of loot, etc. Barrows - Brought up by Paul, and ridiculous. Throughout a 10 minute barrow trip, you're lucky to spend 2-3 minutes actually casting. But you need to use 12 minutes worth of potions. And you save almost nothing, since most of the time spent is running around, not fighting. So what does this leave? Super Antifire Potion - Usable, I suppose, but irrelevant to PvP entirely, and thus this discussion. Overload - Not enough testing to really draw any conclusions from. And on top of this, to "check" how powerful a ranger is, Dark Bow now uses 65% energy for special (so that potting after special will result in 60%, not enough to special again). Except that you can't use said potion in PvP anyways. So by that logic: The new potions are only good for training combat, and the Dark bow suffered a pointless nerf. Great now the Dark bow is even more useless then it was before! PvM magic has its max hit increased, but it costs so damn much that you would have to be a moron to use it. A great day in Runescape is it not?

Thinking outside the box with Prayer
So prayer is useful in noncombat situations, but only when they involve getting attacked? I'd love to see some true noncombat prayers. I'm training my prayer up in anticipation of the upcoming prayer update. Well, in agility you are not being attacked. Unless you consider gravity an evil entity out to keep us all down. Also I thought of another one. When thieving from chests the prayer book helps if you become poisoned. I agree with you, I would love to see non-combat prayers also.
