  1. But if it was faked, then why would someone go through all the trouble to make it look so real, then do something so obliviously dumb as use the wrong person? That seems more like incomplete coding, then a writing mistake.
  2. We could just ask were he got it. Is the player in the pic your friend, or is it of someone you don't know? Peopel are saying the icons are off, but that's not a good case. The icons are the same on the Highscores, and they probably share the same URL as the icons in the pic. So the icons would not change until they change the icon image files. (I hope I explained that clear enough.) Of course they could have the new icons with a different URL, so to change the icons they replace the URL. I'm just saying this because it is a good explanation of why they use the old icons. I wanted to PM the OP before posting this myself. Tell him to remove the HS rank.
  3. I used to use the party chest to empty my bank. :P To bad they screwed that up
  4. Did he just try to justify stealing by saying; "It's okay to steal a little from everyone, as long as I'm not stealing to much from one person." That dastard!
  5. Someone needs to play Stealing creation. It has all of those things except a random plot (a random plot sounds like a dumb idea). So how is this outside of there technology limits? How hard is it to change what the goal is? Make a RNG that picks a number between 1-3. 1 is press X number of switches to beat the dungeon (X is decided by another RNG), 2 is kill X number of generated NPC's, and 3 is reach the end in X number of minutes. There does not need to be "randomly generated plot, and dialog". All you need is one plot for the randomly generated dungeon. "This portal will take you into dimension Bla. Bla is realm corrupted by Zammorak, so his chaos is very evident there. Be careful there, because you won't know what to expect. I'm sure a brave adventure as yourself can handle this though! If you're lucky. There is some good treasurers to be found there, there's even rumored to be an orange party hat at the end! " There, a plot that covers enough about the dungeon, and explain why it's random, and why you have incentive to go there. Do you think random terrain is that hard? Have you ever heard of building map segments, then having the game randomly place them together? That's all they need to do to make random dungeons.
  6. So with this I have to either: A) Don't go to untrusted sites, or B) turn of scripts for all non-trusted sites. I suggest: C) All of the above.
  7. EDIT: Forget that The power generated by power plants to make up the difference in power used releases more mercury than a CFL does. Not to mention you can recycle CFLs. Recycle? Just like those pop cans you find on the side of the road, and in the trash, that you get paid (in some states) to recycle? Yeah, I thought so.
  8. Rare called Jet Force Gemini a mistake. I hate there very being. They also have not released a new Perfect Dark in almost 5 years. VALVes the best company ever, let alone best game developers ever.
  9. Oh, my favorite kind pf thread! The kind where the OP says something obviously wrong to get people to argue, then you never see them post in the thread again. What is making threads like that called again? OT: GE is fine, inflation is the problem. Inflation would still be the way it is, even if the GE was never made.
  10. An update you actually like?! Not update, upgraydd.
  11. CFL bulbs are made in China, were there is little regulation on health so many workers will be exposed to harmful amounts of mercury. LEDs are the way to go.
  12. Oh, I was under the impression that there was new weapons. The new cape should help mageing the Dag's to.
  13. So this means I swap that portal with the Lumby one then. What's Corp Gear?
  14. I, I don't know what to say. You just compared Jagex to VALVe. Is this a good thing for Jagex, or a bad thing for VALVe? Jagex=VALVe of the MMORPG gaming world?
  15. Cape matches ur outfit too! :twss: And +6 prayer bonus wow... What is this "corp gear"? I can't find anything about it anywhere!
  16. Good thing Jagex did not make the description of the what the reward does vague!
  17. Exactly, this thread is a stupid waste of time. Nothing can come of it!
  18. There are chests that you can steal blood runes from in Arrdy right? Well there's your answer. (if I'm right.) *edit* Yep, I'm right. level 59 thieving. Blood runes from chests.
  19. I love how your arguments are all based on opinions. Yes, Jamtax mean, grrr!
  20. Merging pure and rune ess and fixing them at a price of, say, 120 each, and announcing that they will do it in two weeks time will have these effects; - People massively dump their pure essence in the GE to rapidly buy rune essence, hoping to get a bit of extra cash, will result in both pure and rune essence creeping closer to the 120 GP per piece limit... - Both rune and pure essence will be worth roughly the same (around 120) for a short period of time, and while Pure essence is not mined on P2P, rune essence is all of a sudden mined on F2P cuz it snow good profit... - Runecrafters might buy the now cheaper Pure ess to make P2P only runes, which causes those to fall in price as well... - The merge happens and the price is held steady at 120 GP for two days, after which it is allowed to fluctuate again... - The Rune essence price will sink to the pre-merge levels of around 40 each... The only people shafted in this is are the F2P RuneCrafters who will have to put their hobby on hold for two weeks, and those who still cling to large piles of Pure Essence (an item which has only a single purpose besides being held for merchanting)... I fail to see the harm in doing this... It would however hurt the players that bought huge quantity's of pure essence to raise Runecrafting. They would have spent millions on that pure essence, then they would see that they would have to sell it, but they could not. The markets would be flooded with pure essence, and no one would be buying it. This would (as you have said) cause pure essence to diminish in value soon making there investment a huge loss for them.
  21. Well, then I'm pulling my stocks outa Runescape, and putting them is Stellar Dawn right now! Thanks for the inside tip!
  22. If you get annoyed when someone says "WTFZOMGBBQ SAILING!@!@!!@!@!eleven!@!@!!!one@!!@!" Then they have succeeded in what they wanted to do; annoy people.
  23. Dirkmetal replied to failbait's topic in Rants
Correct context?: "I have just fed and watered my [wagon]." *watches immature people rofl at statement*
  24. Ok, great quote there... Ever considered items like logs, bowstrings and nature runes are bound by certain artificially set alch values? Some items are goign to be left behind... And your argument suggests that everyone should spend their GP and buy items, so inflation doesn't hurt them, but you fail to consider that 99% of all transactions these days are players buying fro other players... SOMEONE is going to have to hold the GP because when you buy items, the gold doesnt just dissapear in the GE... Considering that, with ever inflating prices, people are scrambling to buy-buy-buy (its fricken Wall Street on a bad day), pushing prices up further and faster... Obviously you did not read my article all the way to the end, otherwise you would have known that a bit of inflation is normal... Prices jumping to 150% their original value in 4 months is not... You sir, are; - shortsighted for not seeing the grand picture of it all, this goes both to failing to see the grand economy as a whole, as well as ditching on new players, the one thing Runescape relies on. - greedy for insisting that the rise of your valued items is normal, and should continue to do so. - ignorant for thinking that I do not grasp the concept of economics, nor know what I am talking about. - and finally, hereby challenged to write an article for the Times on why you consider the current goings on to be normal... Nicely written Stormrage! The PvP potion was pretty good to. Though, I think that PvP pots should be left out of dangerous PvP. They should be allowed in safe mini games, because they are already unbalanced, that's what makes them fun!
  25. I fixed it
