  1. You're about as fun as this guy: Seriously, do you live in some of stalinesque communist regime that demands contintinous labour without an ounce of recreation? Do you really? It comes of as such. You know, realistically, how hard it'd be to make a video like this? The make-up costs maybe £5, the planning can be done in 15-30 minutes, the filming in about the same time, the editing about 15 minutes? That's roughly an hours work (heck, let's be radically out of line here, maybe up to 30 minutes more) for a short spoof film. It's not like they had a crew fly out from Hollywood to dress up these graphically-stunning zombies, nor did they hire Steven Spielberg to do the directing. How is that, hardly, spending money and time on this? You know, pick up a sport, play a game (maybe RuneScape isn't cut out for you) and have some fun from time to time? I know, I know, it's not the 24/7 labour you'd expect from any working citizen, but bear with it. And, for that matter, you're wasting more time than they are with what you are doing right now (TIF/RuneScape). I think you both need to do some serious self-evaluation before making snide, ironic remarks like that again and making yourself look like a complete [wagon]. To help you get along the way! Now hold on there! They do know what fun is, it's just their idea of fun is different from yours. You see, you find it fun playing Runescape. They find it fun bashing and criticizing things that other people like. You and I may not like it, but it is their right so we must respect it....
  2. "You played it to pk" What I don't Pk EVER. "Being a HUGE pker" Well that explains it. Oh great another person who thinks that PKing is all Runescape has in it, and thinks that everyone else loves PKing.
  3. Does anyone even notice that the topic description is "Mechscape will suck". Meaning that this is a troll thread, and the OP is not even hiding it. How can one make a good argument by stating that something that will turn out bad, will remove interest from something people like? Oh, how does this go? Obvious troll is obvious? Or is it; successful troll, trolls successfully? IDK both apply here.
  4. Very few, if any main players on TIF complained about the pots in PVP, those who did were pures, who didn't understand the combat level system. The potions were unfair in a PvP setting, they provided no visual indicator that you where using them. Every other thing that can give you a boost in combat is either visible to the other player (CMB level, items, eating, familar), or you can trade the item so anyone can use it. These fall in to neither of those category's. However, if they made you glow, or displayed an icon above your head then I would not see them as big of a problem. But you would still have to deal with weapons hitting over the max HP even if that was put in place.
  5. DSL that can handle online play with well under 100 ping?
  6. Can't you do PC to PC torrents? Skip the middle man?
  7. Delays are a good thing. More time in the cooker, means a better final product. Or the product burns when we are finally tired of waiting and lose interest. I doubt it will be the next Duke Nukem Forever. This is Jagex we're talking about here, they're like the VALVe of the MMO world!
  8. I lag out to the log in screen so much I can't play.
  9. I hate the people who one minute say that Jagex is a tool for obeying the players, but if Jagex does not listen then they get called a faceless evil corporation. Does anyone even stop to think about what their saying? I would ask what all of you want, but I already know; you just want to complain.
  10. Delays are a good thing. More time in the cooker, means a better final product.
  11. I can't even seen to do anything that involves loading places.
  12. Win! And to the self appointed Jagex-psychologists who said this was an obvious fake because it wasn't "jagex style", Well said. I have seen many doubters and naysayers make fools of them selves on the internet..
  13. How are we giving it to him, by merely existing as players? Your answer to stop this type of thing is to leave the game? Even if you could cause a huge mass of people to up, and quit for one month. It would still not be enough, there would still be so many players playing that it would barely have any effect. This is why we need to fix the system. Not just go with some off-the-wall plan like boycotting . Your absolutely right. Player versus monster, skilling for fun and playing mini-games is all nothing. The only real part of the game is when you are attacking another player. PvP is nothing but small fry, scamming, manipulating, and insulting is the only real skill in Runescape! The stronger your attack on other players the better player you are. Right on! The only way to fight evil is with more evil! What do you define as work? By the way, every time I was agreeing with you, it was sarcasm. Next time, don't press 'add reply' unless you have thought your post through.
  14. Wait, isn't <!--text--> code for a commenting things out? Looks to good to be true. What's the catch? Do they eat kittens? Fund terrorism? Work for Google? *edit* Does anyone know how to add those icons that are next to the URL in the navigation toolbar, and are on the tabs? Also, stop pronouncing the topic title as " All yee people", the word "Ye" is pronounced as "Th"
  15. Even if they fix tricking, the money is still in-game. The inflation will still be there. So the only loss you'll suffer is from artificially inflated prices from people mercing these items. So lets all be happy that the only people who will suffer will be the ones who took part in artificially inflating the prices (by buying "raising" items). :)
  16. I'd take what you read on MSW a little lighter than you are. Sure the game is getting an overhaul, but scrapped is not the key word. It's not like they are starting completely from scratch. In fact, to quote Mod Mark Gerhard..... Personally I think this means they are completely changing the way the game plays, but not the graphics or models. A lot of people seem to be upset with the way it looks, because honestly it does look like Runescape in SD mode. I would love if Jagex would change the models around, and even move to a different engine, but chances are they won't. I hope this means we get a keyboard movement system.
  17. Let's all hope they gave TS_Stromrage's times article a good read.
  18. I have noticed these double posts have seen a huge spike in frequency since the board switch. I even made a triple post by accident once. It just goes so slow now, and if it didn't look so nice I'd have a problem. I think it's because the flood-stopper works in a different way. After clicking add reply, you can't open up a window to reply to another thread for a while, but if you click the add reply button from posting multiple times it will double post. The new system is sorta stupid. It means if I post something in one thread, I can't start typing a post for another thread for like a minute. To bad people do notice that you can delete posts. The option is right there right after you click edit. So why do people edit posts just to say "Double post" when they could click delete instead? What do they think it helps their post count? (No offense intended.)
  19. Combat looks like the same boring "click to attack, pray for high hits". The only different thing I saw was the player dive to the side when he passed the turret, but that could have nothing to do with combat, and be more of an agility type obstacle. Overall it looks like a reskinned Runescape. I do hope they are remaking it like they said.
  20. I remember the Seercull, good weapon for the hunted in FoG.
  21. Jagex did say they where upgrading the back-end servers so they could handle more features. This could very well be just that. What else could it be? There is nothing else! Even if this is a faked picture, the idea that this will be made is very possible.
  22. What we could do is make the GE of each world not connected. This would make it very hard to manipulate the prices. You would need MASSIVE clans to raise the price of one item in every world. That means that, yes they could still manipulate items, but they could not manipulate as many items at once. Natural price fluctuation would not be affected, because a normal player would see that he could get a better deal on another world so he would hop causing that worlds prices to rise along with all of the other ones. This would allow peopel to make money by trading between worlds.
  23. I loved the 3rd article. :) I was wondering where Stormrage was in it though. Guess I'll have to wait till next week.
