  1. Just go buy a rune warhammer...
  2. This has nothing to do with the economy. All it is is the price fall of inferior equipment.
  3. Sea Shanty 2. Hands down. No others. This is the best piece of music you will hear; not merely on Runescape, but in your entire life.
  4. Why would this work but crumble undead does not work? (atleast last I heard, crumble doesnt work...)
  5. I personally think its sort of lame, and I would never do it. However, there IS a reason Jagex put it in the wilderness...RC pkers have every right to PK RCers.
  6. you can't eat sharks in f2p worlds.... Yeah ummm...I'm pretty sure that was the point. I guess you aren't part of the 2.2%
  7. Woot! Who's ready for decorative red dragonhide!!! And Decorative Rune Longswords! Seriously...I doubt this update will be as awesome as it sounds. Jagex hasn't put anything really nice into the game for over a year.
  8. You've seen your mistake? Last time I checked, I thought the main point of doing maples was pretty much to get the nests and SEEDS...
  9. Whats your secret to actually making that much money at barrows/slayer? Because I just get hosed over. I couldn't make that much if I stayed there a year.
  10. I actually think that birds are really good to do...in conjunction with butterflies. At the snow place, just set up two traps surrounding the bird spawn and then go east a LITTLE bit and theres the butterfly spawn. If you set your bird traps in the right spot, youll catch them almost immediately after they spawn. If you don't catch them, then butterflies are right next to the spot.
  11. Anyone else think that Chompys should give Hunter EXP? :-k
  12. One person per trap? With hundreds likely hunting on each server? Dumb. Only word for Jagex on that one. well they cant exactly place several hundred traps per server can they, that will be just too unrealistic, and unnecessary. These are just release hypes. Also the creatures would have to fall into a trap themselves, so having several hundred trap in 1 spot is also impractical. think before you post please I'm going to have to go ahead and agree with Phelim here. There doesn't need to be a ton of traps, or even a ton of animals. Why do the animals have to be seen to everyone? Why cant everyone just have their own individual animals that no one else can see. As mentioned, no one else can see farming crops, so I would imagine they would be able to make Hunting a similar way.
  13. myweponsgood mypkerisgood melzar d mad pissface All classic names
  14. THE GOAL: Get all of my stats (yes, all of them) to level 80 or higher by July 1st. If I don't get it by July 1st then...oh well, its just a date to aim for. :P THE START: THE PROGRESS: Farming:55/80 This skill isn't going to take much work at all. I just plan on planting herbs and/or trees while working at my other skills. Farming is going to be a huge help for leveling that expensive Herblore skill :ohnoes: I figure this bad boy should be at 80 by the time I'm done with everything else. If its still not at 80 by the time all the others are, I'll just plant Yews. Runecrafting:65/80 This one is going to take quite a while...because I plan on doing nothing but laws through the abyss. You may think I'm crazy, but this is the only way I will be able to finance my Construction, Smithing, and other various expenses. I plan on this being one of the last skills to 80 Construction:63/80 This skill is a pain. While using crummy oak logs, this skill still drains a ton of money really quickly. Most of my funds from crafting laws will be sunk straight into Cons. I plan on getting at least 75 in this skill before even starting my Prayer. (gilded altar) Thieving:75/80 Finally, a skill that won't be a complete pain. Thieving is probably going to be one of the first of my remaining stats that I take to 80. If I have some time to waste, I'll be doing this at pyramid plunder. But if I'm just gonna do it for about 15 mins or so, I'll be at the Ardy Knights. At 60k+ per hour of free exp, this one's easy. Woodcutting:73/80 Snore...I hate this skill I was going to get 80 at the Yew trees for max profit, but instead I'm taking the quick route. Willows from 73-80. Small profit, sure; but atleast I will be done with this awful skill. Mining:72/80 I used to despise this skill, but now I find it mildly enjoyable. Not to much to say about this one. Iron ores north of Yanille all the way to 80. Smithing:65/80 Steel plates. I'll be using the iron I mined from my Mining quest combined with coal from my Manage Thy Kingdom. I may lose some money on the steel plates...but oh well. Its so much faster that making knives or darts. Agility:70/80 This is another no brainer. Wilderness course all the way to 80. Herblaw:72/80 This will be done 90% on herbs that I farm. Super Attack and Super Strength will be the main things that I make. Once my farm is high enough I hope to switch to Anti-Fire. I think this skill will be alright. It will take a long time, but I think I'll be very productive. Crafting:71/80 I will mainly raise crafting by making dargonhide bodies from hides that I collect. Mainly green, but I think I'll have a fair bit of blue too. Doing this will also give me another source of cash (besides RC) and I will also save all the bones for my Prayer. Prayer:67/80 Last but not least. I plan on getting 70 sometime soon using the ecto. But from 70 to 80, its all Gilded Altar. The number should actually say 67/99 because I intend on going for level 126 after I get all stats to 80+. But...I'll save that for another thread. ================================= There you have it, Ladies and Gents. I am raising these skills with very slow methods...so will I make the July 1st deadline? No...probably not. Will I try? Of course! Wish me luck!
  15. I will help you. I don't know when I'll be on next though...probably sometime over the weekend but Im not sure, I mainlu just play on weekdays. Add me to your list. My runescape name is Myweponsgood My PM is always on Public, so if you see me log on just give me a message.
  16. If you can't fletch yew longs, and you can't make your own nats, then there really isnt a good way to make money by alching.
  17. Ummm...your guide is way too long. Basically, you could sum up your guide in a few words: "Buy low and sell high." Thats all youre telling people to do.
  18. No thanks, I'd rather have the developers working on something that matters. Something that will make the game more fun, not more aggrivating.
  19. I myself have started to just hold on to all of my treasure trail rewards. So far I have one of each kite from doing trails. Seriously, the trail items are pretty cool. Sometimes you might be better off just keeping it.
  20. Projectiles (such as cballs, knives, and darts) are basically the only way to make money if you smelt+smith. I think that maybe introducing a new metal COULD be the way to go. The ores should only be attainable from monster drops or by mining it in an area that is extremely dangerous. As for what level mining you need, what level smithing, and what stats the equipment would have...I have no clue. It would be really hard to try and balance it with barrows and/or dragon. I really don't want to turn this post into a specific suggestion post though. I dont want people to reply with something like "No the branch off wouldn't work because..." The point of my post is simply this: Player made equipment needs attention. Think about herblore. Herblore is a wonderful skill that can prove to be very profitable if done correctly. Now, there is NO way to get a potion such as a super restore potion or sara brew besides a player making it. The ingredients can be available to anyone...but yet the prices are still so high on each potion because it requires a certain level skill in herblore for that object to even come into the world. Imagine if this is how some armor/equipment was...but instead it took a high level person to get the ingredient in the first place. For example, if Abbyssal Demons dropped something called "Abbyssal Leather" intead of a whip. Then, you would need a high crafting level to make the leather into a whip. [NOTE] A similar example would be if Barrows Bars came from the chest instead of the armor, then you needed a high level smith to make them into armor. These sorts of changes would give Runescape the kind of high-level play that many people I know are desperate for. Face it...right now, our equipment basically caps off at level 70(combat). When a skill is at 70, its not even 1/13th the way to 99! Runescape is only at 1/13th of its potential right now. Player crafts could REALLY give this game some extra kick.
  21. One thing I could think of would be creating a "Specialization" sub-skill. Once you reach (say) level 60 or something in Smithing, you get the option to specialize in weapons or armor. From that point on, any item that you smith in your area of specialization will give you XP in your specialization skill. I'm not exactly sure of how we could make it work for people who have gone past the level already (so they wouldnt have to back track and do tons of smithing again to get to 99 specialization) but I'm sure we could think of something :P Of course, each branch of specialization would allow you to make various unique items in that field, while using the core smithing skill to raise your specialization. Erm...no...I didn't steal this idea from another game... :-w :P
  22. I think that the next major update Runescape needs is advancement in player-made crafts. After recently playing some other MMORPG's, I realized that skills such as Smithing and Crafting need to be more powerful in Runescape. They do not necessarily need to add HIGHER level items (allthough it would be nice). However, there should at least be some type of unique items that are only available through player smiths. If any of you were around during the "First Rune-2h" era, you will understand the vital role that smithing should play in our RS economy. Crafting has thankfully PARTIALLY embraced the idea of player-crafted items. Dragonstone and Onyx jewelry can only be obtained from other players (to the best of my knowledge). Black Dragonhide Armor also is MAINLY obtained from players, allthough it is available by other means. Smithing is dead in P2P. Nobody needs rune weapons. Rune armor is available at in-game stores. The most valuable non-store-buyable object that is smithable is the Rune Kiteshield. Unfortunately, the kite is now quite obsolete due to Granite Shields and Obsidian Shields. Now, don't get me wrong, I do think that unique monster drops are very important aswell (I'm not talking about smithing dragon armor here), but I think that player-smiths should also be able to add a vast variety of unique items to the game.
  23. Myweponsgood (Yes, "weapon" is misspelled, its the only way it could fit) Im in Eastern Standard Time (EST) PM is always on (unless there is a rare occaison where I need to avoid people.
  24. I got completely sick of Runescape, so to entertain myself I now go around and try to just make people happy. I basically make money and then give it away.
