You realize those people were still around when restricted trade was in effect right? It wasn't "honor" it was them being denied the opportunity to be asses. Why even consider it then? Because trade restrictions act as deterrents. Laws never stop everyone from doing illegal things, but they definitely discourage it. Trade restrictions aren't laws, they're an obstacle for bot creators to work around. It's an update that changes the way they market their services, instead of gold farming to sell gold to you, they offer to bot on your account. Yes, it will stop a lot of bots, but is it worth the cost of crippling trade for a partial win? I don't think so.

Isn't this the same for any buyable skill such as herblore where it isn't just grinding but having to earn the money on top of actually training? Only difference here is that for summoning you need charms instead of money.

I honestly find it easier to put up with bots in rs than to put up with all the bot topics. Really, what is the point? Jim: Bots are bad, Mark. Mark: Righty-o Jim. If you go to spots that are inefficient you will find inefficient players. Likewise, if you go to spots that offer the best xp/hr you will find people who value it. It all depends on what you do, there are plenty of players of either play style. I think it's more likely that many factors such as you becoming older older and so are less tolerant to that kind of behavior and nostalgia blurring out the memories of bad players rather then the entire community being replaced by drooling idiots.

People judge Runescape with a different (lower) opinion than Call of Duty because they play Call of Duty and not Runescape.

True multicombat meaning? What it currently is. :P Glacors are multi, but programmed so only one can be attacked at a time. Oh, I didn't realize your were talking about adding actual multi combat to Glacors, would definitely be a cool idea.

I've had 1000+ dry streaks at them twice, which is what stopped me from killing them in the end.

The thing is there are many reasons to raise the level cap, but skills are in no way ready for it.
