  2. Wasn't too sure on the 15% drain myself but I like it. If only ultimates were better for magic so it was actually a choice between using them and thresholds. Edit: Is the extra 307 damage worth the -500 accuracy? Edit2: Tested on bloodvelds and bandos/zamorak gwd. Works good on the former, badly on the latter.

  13. Is there anything special to divine storm/storm of armadyl? Just looked and they're weaker than wave/surge spells respectively.
  14. Well rune costs have been vastly reduced so mage is no longer expensive, as for ranged weapons the reason they are expensive atm is simple supply & demand. The supply or good arrows etc. is low because people don't want them so people leave drops on the ground or alch them once they are useful the supply should shift which would effect prices; plus in all the tweaking etc. Jagex could easily do several things such as lower ammo breakage, increased drops of assorted ammo items heck they could even introduce more 'magical infinite' ammo items It is still expensive. Maging fight caves where water is the weakness on most monsters, costed me around 2.5m minimum on runes only. At the current game I can use the PPS' spell reduce the costs to a mere 150k each attempt. And this is only 1 example. Pretty sure that's more fight cave getting longer than magic getting more expensive. Also 2.5m in water surges is over 12k auto attacks, not counting rune providing staves or items, and abilities have no cost at all so if fight caves really takes all of this then I'm sure it won't stay this difficult for long.
  15. Monster weakness only makes you more accurate? What does he do, see that your battleaxe has a really nice edge on it and get an uncontrollable urge to jump in front of your weapon?
  16. Rune thrown axes have 791 damage while CCB with dragon bolts has 699. Axes only have 4 range though so probably not so great for pvp.
  17. Jagex isn't going to spend thousands on developing an update then scrap it because a vocal minority is unsatisfied. Soul split is still very much worth it so get that at least. Really have no idea how turmoil works, but as has been said, probably not a *bad* thing to have.

  19. Roddeck was an idiot anyway, the only time he popped up to "help" was when I was hopping worlds for a boss to tell me to "get an axe from the woodcutting tutor in lumbridge and chop logs for gp".
  20. Yes, but that doesn't happen until late game when you're on a roll murdering everyone in sight, a much better situation than being able to 1 hit everyone at the c5 spot at 19 minutes.

Max strength bonus gained from 99 def would be something like bcp/torva plate/torso +4 tassets/torva legs + 3, goliaths +6 (best 1 def glove for str bonus being regen?) berserker/neitz helm +3, dfs(lol)+7 or more likely +6 from dragon defender, and dragon/steadfast boots +4 for a total of 27/26 disregarding pvp gear. All of the offensive bonuses on these (save goliaths as they are becoming lvl 80 2h weapons) will be removed and defence shouldn't have any bearing on how much you can hit.
  22. Pretty sure that would fall under the clause of "only works on auto attacks lul". Haven't done any testing but that's where I'd put my money. Surely Mage/range armour will keep its offensive bonuses? Weapons are the only items that give damage and accuracy far as I know, although rings, necklaces and capes can give crit bonus.
  23. It's ironic that level 3 skillers will now have to draw their weapons to retain any of their "prestige".
  24. Nex gear should have received a significant buff, as it was ridiculous that 30m a set gear was almost as good as 500m a set gear. Instead of choosing the obvious solution, Jagex brainstormed about the stupidest possible solution to the problem and rolled with that. I think the real problem here is that level 80 gear costs 500m. That level 80 gear is the highest tier of gear currently available. Of course there's going to be huge demand for it. Once level 90 and 99 sets are made available, sure level 80 req gear should drop sharply. The best of anything is always going to be significantly more expensive. Then they should release that gear instead of demoting gwd armor.
