  1. I have a feeling it's going to be something totally out there like Dungeoneering. There's only so many medieval/fantasy professions we can turn into skills. Most of the suggestions I've seen are either too niche (music) or already neatly fit into other skills (engineering being combination of smithing crafting and construction).
  2. Free as in they will unlock from Knight Waves miniquest after King's Ransom and anyone who had purchased them from dg will get a full refund.
  3. It seems you were punched in half?

Thanks, guess I'll go with draconics then.
  5. Looking to get max cape, and I have hunter in my sights. Only problem is that xp rates are rather vague, specifically for Jadinkos. Since I really hate the high apm required for hunting them as well as agility, I was considering catching snowy knights/black warlocks barehanded. The only problem is that the rates I've seen for Jadinkos are extremely varied, from 160k to 280k for Draconics, so it's difficult to make a decision, though I am leaning towards butterflies. I'd appreciate if someone could clear up the xp/hr on Draconics without zamorak's favor or scentless unless they're worth using.
  6. Personally, I would just keep them at this point. I *think* they're rare and useful enough that they won't drop much lower. If anything they'll follow godswords up as people decide they're at a good point to invest in. Also, you should look at the combat beta AS the combat update, since it will effectively tell players what is and isn't good and prices will adjust accordingly.
  7. It would reward good preparation and having a balance of stats or friends to cover your weakness instead of being a one man army. As it is now the triangle is a big rock paper scissors game, with every playing being rock paper and scissors at the same time, it's only a matter of how fast you can change your open hand into a fist. I don't think that's how Jagex intended it to be considering they want to make combat less about flying through menus as fast as possible.
  8. I think it's far more likely that Jagex knows that these will never becomes "rares" rather than fumbling around in the dark in an attempt to disrupt the market and displease players. There's more to rares than being discontinued and tradeable.
  9. As Bandos armor has always been either half or fully made of what looks like cloth depending on gender, and even then only covering half of the body, removing some cloth really wouldn't hurt defence at all. Removing plates from something like Torva is one thing, but Bandos in my eyes has always been a berserker armor, most defence coming from any blessings or enchantments put on it. Years of being bothered by this will finally end!
  10. Remember, by beating Song From the Deep, you unlock a "passive damage reduction" against the Queen Black Dragon. I thought it came a bit out of left field at first, but now it sounds like they gave us it for a reason. Sounding more and more like a requirement than a perk.
  11. Inb4 combat ability of a GWD boss, a few specials that don't add to combat level, and the rest into hp. Edit: Possibly some kind of double damage buff to deal with all that health.
  12. So going by Timbo's logic, if real life casinos payed out 1 cent on a loss, then it's not gambling as you still receive a "prize"? ---------------------------------- I have to admit Jagex's strategy of slowly easing us into microtransactions was played brilliantly. I'm more amused by their complete inability to justify this while still abiding by their rules than mad over the update.
  13. Anyone think training all companions in Temple Trekking to max would be a good idea? I'd really rather not do it and seeing as it's a trimmed completionist cape requirement (the same is true for things like chompy hunting and Champion's Challenge which aren't requirements in the task system)I'm wondering if it would be worth it. Edit: Elite legs http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Task_set
  14. Not only an achievement diary right before my birthday, but it's for the area I wanted the most and not Daemonheim. Very excited.
  15. Would substituting Virtus in place of the Ganodermic work or do you need the melee defence/soak?
  16. I either beat them or hop.
  17. Can buy teleport scrolls to Tai Bwo Wannai for ~5k last I checked. Puts you 10-20 spaces from tree.
  18. Had another one yesterday but it got eaten by all my glacor kills. 3 inside 150 kills after 900+ dry, i'll take it.
  19. Unless I'm missing something, low alch has no delay whatsoever, while mining an inv then dropping should take around 10-20 seconds getting 0 mining xp, therefor alching should be a lot faster. You are mining continuously while alching correct i.e. clicking on rock once and alching ores as they come in without having to click rock again?
  20. I've had at least 2 or 3 instances where I planted a tree and before I teleported I watched it grow to the next tick.

I was in a very similar situation as you: Firemaking in jadinko lair from 87-92 for varrock elite because I disliked the clicking of conventional firemaking. Then I tried pyrelord firemaking and the xp/hr was more than enough to justify the extra clicking and small cost. I'd definitely give it a try. If you really don't like it jadinko lair is still fairly good xp.
  22. UH? WHAT?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Alching while mining still works.
