  1. Haven't really been in a position to take advantage of a bug or something similar, but I don't think my conscience would allow me to. As for botting, it doesn't appeal to me at all, rs isn't worth playing if I can't do things myself.
  2. Reminds me of Boethia's shrine challenge. Tournament of ten bloods I think it was called. Seems like if these are indeed customizable, they'll look better for outfits than skillcapes.
  3. Thing is, Jagex really just makes up morality in runescape when it comes to botting. They could allow botting, and suddenly it becomes ok to use them, because you're not breaking any rules and just playing how Jagex designed the game to work. For example, say I wanted to train prayer before offer x. I go and buy some bones and start altering, but my hand starts to hurt from all the clicking. I load up my bot program that uses bones on the altar for me. That's an illegal bot that allows me to outperform other players and gives me an advantage, because Jagex dictates that "1 click = 1 action". Now skip ahead a couple years, we can take a familiar and load it up with bones, go to an altar, and offer 50-60 bones with a few clicks. In my opinion, that's in no way comparable to the immorality of say, scamming someone out of their bank. Bringing real life morality into it doesn't make much sense to me either. People cheating in rs means you go find something else to do if you so desire. People cheating in real life means you're out of a job, money or something else that you earned and that could have serious repercussions on the rest of your life. And unlike rs, sometimes you can't just "start over" when something is taken from you there.

    cat interface

    My mistake then, nevermind.
  5. Big thing that helped me was making it much simpler to recognize his attack sounds. I've always heard that one sounds like retribution and one like a cwars explosive, but that really doesn't help when you need to know instantly what you're getting attacked with. Basically ranged attack is one explosion, and magic is two as shown in that video. Of course there's no substitute for a cool head when fighting him, being able to more or less instantly recognize his attacks helps a lot too. As for levels, it's more about surviving Jad than surviving the waves. People have killed him with ridiculously low levels, so I'd assume yours are fine. Never seen everyone mention the above tip though, so I figured it was worth posting.

    cat interface

what does that have to do with the cat interface? A cat based interface that is out of date. No idea why he would be mad at only the cat interface when every pet/summon uses it, and this is the only thing that comes to mind.

    cat interface

http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Catspeak_amulet You mean this? Last I checked, the interface was pretty bad.
  8. If you like slaying, get 85. If you want to get 85 for abyssals/money and see slay as a chore, don't.
  9. Almost have enough cash for ely and not sure if I should wait a bit or buy as soon as I get the money. Is it likely to go back up to 650m+ or stay around 600m?
  10. I've had 50 noted rune bars from a Nechryael.
  11. Maybe they could add more items like Dfs and Blessed Spirit Shield, which require a high smithing level to make, but instead make the final product untradeable. These could be a rare drop from some monsters, and be unassistable, much like extremes. They could be anything from lifepoint boosting gloves/boots with comparable stats to barrows gloves/dragon boots, or new monster specific weapons like Keris or Balmung. They could even make it so degradeable items (barrows/chaotics/pvp equiptment/nex) last longer with a higher smithing level. Maybe 1.5x or 2x for 99 smith. Smithing is about making and repairing armor/weapons, so it makes sense your armor would last longer if you could repair it in the field.
  12. A good amount of people on my friend list have female characters. Never really bothered to ask any of them if they're same gender as their character, because really, I'm playing Runescape, not some crappy dating game.
  13. [spoiler=quote] Nope. Sorry but no good team is going to take you with those stats. 91 summoning means your overload supply is limited. Lack of Pack Yak is terrible for your team's efficiency. And of course, a higher range level is crucial. herby shouldnt be an issue because ill just stew overloads and prayers or whateve. that suck though. basically i have max range and get 96 summoning.. :ohnoes: thats gunna be dull.. and then if i get that but only had 100m or so to spend on gear..? Historically speaking, people with 91 Herblore are generally considered as not having Overloads, because: A) Even if you CAN stew to make them, you can't make that many of them. You might have 40-50 of them, but they'll run out sooner or later, and it won't be as easy for you to make more. If you had a good amount of them, you wouldn't be 91 Herblore anymore. B) People with 91 Herblore tend to be more conservative with Overload usage, even if it means not re-potting towards the end of a trip because you don't want to waste a dose for only 30 seconds of benefit. This, in turn, can end up costing your whole team more time and supplies. Even if these don't apply to you personally, this is the general opinion of people making Overloads at 91, so either you're going to have to show them 250+ Overloads, or a better herblore level. 100M should be enough for gear and supplies. A full set of ceremonial is ~10M. Ranger boots are ~20M, Amulet of Fury ~15M. That leaves 55M for potions, bolts, and armor. You won't have Divine/Elysian obviously but you could just get Unholy Book / Dragon Defender / EEKS. Speaking of EEKS, you will need some chaotics though. Exact number varying per team, but generally teams require anywhere between 2 and 4 chaotics (rigour being counted as one). Couldn't you just do the logout trick to make as many overloads as you want? Or has this been fixed? What he is saying is that, with the experience OVL give, if you are level 91 herb then you undoubtedly have not made many and therefore do not have many to use. As a result, people with 91 herb are likely to be more conservative with their OVL, which is a detriment to the team. Just because you are level 91 doesn't automatically mean you can't make a lot of OVLs tho, which is what his point A) was kind of getting at. If you have enough money and the logout trick still works you could theoretically make as many as you want. If you made that many overloads, you wouldn't be 91 herb anymore.
  14. I'll just throw some ideas out here for weapons and drops. Arquebus: A lower powered, non self destructing version of the hand cannon, although I don't know how much lower you could make it before it's overtaken by crossbows. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arquebus Sword breaker: An offhand dagger that could possibly have high slash defence, or disarm an enemies 1-handed weapon in much the same way the chaos elemental does. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sword_breaker#Swordbreakers Morning Stars or other crush based weapons are always nice. More chainmail items: Probably added as drops for lower leveled monsters. It's one of the most common types of medieval armor, I've always wondered why you could only get a chainmail body. Roman style segmented armor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorica_segmentata
  15. Cow graphical update. Edit: I waited over a year for this smith update? "Trimming dwarf cannons"
  16. Unbuyable high end items. Unbalanced combat. Lack of instanced monster hunting worlds. Armor that disappears in 1 hour's use. Lack of alternative gear (same stats but different appearance) something like a warhammer and sword, with the same stats as a whip. No fun seeing everyone running around with bandos and whip/rapier. And my biggest pet peeve of all, holding bows in the right hand when we are obviously right handed.
  17. According to Grimy's spreadsheets, hammers are worth about 407k at the moment (50k xp per hammer with oak doors being 8.15 gp per xp). So a normal sc game would be 20-25 points aka worth 400k-500k. No idea what the rates are for sc tools if you go to one of those clans for fast games, but for normal games it's definitely not worth it.
  18. Recently I wanted to try smithing dragon plates for a bit of profit. I bought 15 lumps and shards instantly about 100k under med price, but slices won't buy over double their price. Normally I'd attribute it to some kind of buyout, but the graph for it has looked very...artificial lately. I'm pretty sure I've seen graph results like that on items like spirit shields that only (or mostly) raise and lower because an item it's price is tied to (sigils) raises or lowers. Also graahk furs were buying for 10k a few days ago, then jumped up to buying for no less than 20k. Next day a few bought for the original price of 10k and now are once again 20k. I'm assuming this is some kind buy out or price manipulation, but would like to hear what others think.
  19. Any insight on the price of third-age after free trade, specifically the melee set?
  20. You cook food to heal damage. You fletch arrows to shoot. You craft and smith armor to block attacks. Most hunter creatures either help crafting, cooking, or are used in combat fresh from the traps. Herblore gives you combat boosts, or boosts other skills like fishing and hunter which help combat. Pretty much every skill ties into combat in some way. If they're going to take out things like extremes because not everyone has the cash to train it, then they might as well take out just about every expensive weapon. The argument that herblore doesn't add combat levels really doesn't make sense to me since the combat level system is already shot to hell. We have level 50s running around with godswords, turmoil, iron titans, dragon claws, dark bows, and probably chaotics, but if they have extremes that's not fair. If they want to make the combat level system work, then make everything including weapons in inventory, potions, and which prayer book and magic book you're currently on give combat levels as well. Otherwise, herblore levels not adding combat levels is a pretty poor argument considering you can just manipulate your combat level and get them at a low level anyway.
  21. Was that the one where they hit 0s on all the gwd bosses?
