  1. A few years ago I might believe Jagex wanted bots gone, but now it seems like they're just trying to look "in control" while they rake in the money coming from bots buying members.
  2. So, the serious people capable of killing KQ effectively will stay at other, higher payout moneymakers, the noobs will die at KQ, and the hype will bring down prices. I don't think it will work.
  3. I don't see what soloing has to do with it. Fighting Nex all day every day is still no lifing. Finding teams is also a part of every boss, it's just that most don't require teams. Although if soloing is the only option my pick would be tds, even though they're [cabbage] money now and I've killed so many of them already, I can't stand even stepping into any godwars dungeon boss room besides Nex.
  4. Enjoying it, and being bored by it are to different things. Let's try and make this clear now. THIS HAPPENS WITH EVERY OTHER SKILL, I'M LOOKING FOR IDEAS ON HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED, NOT HOW TO ENJOY IT. For example, you might not LIKE a military boot camp, but you have to be MOTIVATED to go through it. - I usually watch youtube videos, but eventually, I get ansy and want to do something else in the game. I try to not do anything else and focus on cooking, but it's quite difficult. I'm pretty sure nobody would go through boot camp if all they got was a skillcape of military training. How are we supposed to motivate you? Tell you all the great benefits of 99 cook? Tell you how it'll all be worth it later? How you'll make loads of cash? How everyone will want to be your friend because you have a purple cape? It does none of that, it's just a purple cape.
  5. If a company, for example, bethesda had a discount where they asked players to advertise for Skyrim, I'd be more than happy to. Jagex has just been so disappointing as of late, they're not willing to uphold their rules, recent updates (for months) have been crap, not to mention all this focus on advertising when they should be fixing their game. You can make money and be a quality company at the same time.
  6. Didn't they use tridents?
  7. Traits I believe the fish-beast will possess based on appearance: -Cave dweller -Eats ghosts/non-corporeal entities -Dislike of polearms -Resistance to damage -Employs an evil servant to assist it in combat It must be the long awaited GENERAL BEAST@@@@
  8. Only thing missing is soulgazers in every room with 100% hex droprates.

:wall: I thought posting bad advice was considered trolling now. Next time I'll be sure to recommend something I have no idea about instead of something I have personal experience in and know to be far better than what OP had in mind.
  10. Also, at 89 geyser titans are pretty useful being both one of the first decent combat familiars and handy for recharging glories. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Runescape.com > community > clans > search Nex Specialists You'll need to go to Daemonheim and have one of them check your gear with ring of kinship, then read their clan requirements/info thread and post a code from it to show you've read it, then you'll be ranked I believe.

You could try joining Nex Specialists, pretty sure you meet all the requirements save for rigour and deflector/acp combo. It's pretty much just a clan chat to make nex teams, and you can be assured that the teams are all experienced and have the best gear. The few times I've tried Rsof teams they were terrible. I wouldn't even bother unless you need a few trial runs to get the hang of it. As for teams on TIF, I believe Grimy, Ancient and others had a good team going, although I'm not sure if it's still on these forums or if they're even recruiting. Something to look into though if you're looking for a team.
  13. "Barrows" gloves.
  14. Estoc replied to Metu's topic in Help and Advice
Unless you're really lazy, yes. I had ~40 of them sitting in my bank. Couldn't be bothered spending 3 days in 117 getting an assist so I just got the levels myself. Although that may be impractical for you, I wouldn't give them to the museum, you might find some skill you could really use the experience in and decide to get them all opened.
  15. I got p2p about a week or two after starting rs and I had a blast. I wouldn't worry about being "prepared", just enjoy the game and all the members benefits.
  16. Then that would make Obby cape worthless and the price would plummet. I think however that the 10 level capes should have some stats You could start it with pretty bad stats and have it gain stats every for every 20 or so levels (10,30,50,70,90) I was thinking +1 in all attack/defence bonuses for every 10 levels. Firecape still beats it for strength bonus, god cape for mage attack/defence, soulwars for prayer, ardougne 3/4 still good for most things requiring stab as you usually need to use prayer too. Nobody gets shafted, but it still has a use. Shame they're all so god damn ugly.
  17. So, you're pissed off that bots are effectively doing the jobs nobody wants to do (i.e. woodcutting, fishing, mining, herb gathering) Honestly, all these damn posts about how everyone is a communist bot are much worse than the actual problem if you think about it.
  18. As far as I'm concerned, Jagex put themselves in a corner by making botting against the rules. No matter what they do, bar removing free trade of course, it's the limited amount of employees at Jagex versus thousands of bot programmers. It's a fight they will eventually lose, or have lost already by the looks of things.
  19. Cape looks hideous.
  20. Look at it this way, at least they're ruining the game for themselves and not for real legitimate players. Used to play Castle Crashers on Xbl, and it was extremely difficult to find a player who hadn't glitched all his characters to level 256 (normal max is 99) It basically made them invincible. Here on rs we have threads created every single day on how bots are lowering the price of some low tier money making methods (if you could even call them that) and everyone is up in arms seemingly more because they're getting away with breaking jagex's arbitrary rules than actually effecting your gameplay. People who considering cutting yews or fishing sharks good money are hurting their profits more than bots ever could.
  21. OMFG a chair. That chair was and will be the greatest invention of mankind. Simply by looking at the chair, it will cure terminal cancer and raise your lifespan by avg. of 15 years. The chair however, cannot be sat on, as its glorious existence will vaporize anyone touching it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_Perilous
  22. I hadn't finished setting up yet... I posted it because of the Iron Knives. Makes more sense holding them that way, as that's how they're held in real life. Darts on the other hand would look odd being held like that. Did they change them too?
  23. im not planning on doing it now its just it seems like you would lose money untill you got a huge drop You do lose money until you get a big drop. However the drops more than make up for supplies used in the long run.
  24. Staking is the best way to earn gp. Yes it is all luck, and you can be lucky more then once, there is always the one off chance that you can beat a player with better stats then yours. If you do this once and double your cash, then fight someone with lower stats and double your cash again, your looking at a big profit. So I cannot see how "Staking is not a good way to earn gp" and it dose not take capital to earn capital. You can start with 500k and leave with 20m gp. I have done it numerous times. As you said it is all luck, and ofcourse knowing when to stop. Seems like everyone I talk to who stakes tries to play down the fact that you can lose big too. For every screenshot I see of someone winning billions, one of my friends pms me to tell me he just got cleaned.
  25. "50k in drag bones and hides"
