  1. Kangaroo's are awesome. They could possibly increase the chance of you jumping over certain shortcuts or something? Or maybe they could use a kick attack (those things can shatter your ribcage. Gettin kicked by one really hurts apparently :x).
  2. At the moment I'm thinking I'll place an altar inside Elvarg's lair, where you fight her, but with a little catch; the more players inside the lair at one time, the longer the limit each player has on using the altar. For example: 1 Player in Lair: Altar can be used every 1 minute(s) per player 2 Players in Lair: Altar can be used every 2 minutes per player 3 Players in Lair: Altar can be used every 3 minutes per player 4 Players in Lair: Altar can be used every 4 minutes per player 5+ Players in Lair: Altar can be used every 5 minutes per player This puts a reasonable limit on the numer of players fighting Elvarg and should ensure that you can solo, as well as group efficiently. If anyone has any questions or suggestions please put them forward :) thanks for the support guys. Also, since this thread is becoming a bit popular, should I create an RSOF thread for this idea? Might add a poll or something :P
  3. Let me just say that I'm looking forward to you getting 99 :P even though I won't be making it to the party because of school and such... You make woodcutting feel so easy :(
  4. Farming, because it is my favourite skill and the cape that I crave for. Once I get farming, I'm never taking it off. I don't care if I get 99 Runecrafting, I love the cape :P
  5. Kill a few birds with one large hammer here. First, get 99 range off slayer. Yes, slayer. Then use the charms you get to train summoning, either to 99 or whatever. Then, if you have a few levels to go, just camp at waterfiends for charms and then get the rest of the levels. Anyway, who said you have to stop doing slayer? Why not set a goal for 20M slayer experience (or something more crazy ;)).
  6. This, although I don't usually give them items just like that. Sure, some minor supplies to start off with. If they're new to P2p for example, I'd give them compost and seeds, with detailed instructions to start farming, or I'd be helping them through Quests they find hard. I am more of a teacher than a donater though. You best teach the noobies to fare well for themselves than create beggars. Hehe I'm siggied :P I tend to help them as well, I don't like the beggars but I do like those who are friendly and just ask for general advice. I once spent an hour teaching a guy all the f2p skills, and it was really fun. It's nice to help those who are newer to the game than thyself, because thyself art ownage in thou eyes. And Shakespeare/poetry/old talk sucks :? but thats going off topic. So, yeah. Newer players are cool, beggars aren't though.
  7. He was no. 1 runescape player for a very long time, quit a couple of months ago though. So, he isn't no. 1 nymore. He was extremely famous on runescape, but he is slowly losing his fame after been taken over by other players. welcome to tif btw \
  8. I'd have to say the most clicking is training prayer on a f2p world, or fletching bolts. The least is definitely farming. Like 20 clicks a day. Followed closely by afk training, because you have to stay logged in while doing it, allow monster aggro to come back by wlking away and walking back, etc.
  9. Good luck, I'm going for 99 too! I cut eucalyptus though, same cash as yews but heaps faster and more experience per hour. Wink wink ;) If you ever get sick of slow woodcutting experience, I also suggest doing teaks or willows, but drop them. Good luck :)
  10. A "noob" is someone who doesn't use tif  Or maybe someone who does... :|
  11. None. If firemaking was used to make fires, it makes fires, so what more do you want? Go set a house on fire? That sounds great. Set other people's POH on fire and let them ear another 50M+ to build it again  Honestly, a skill doesn't need any special features to make it useful. If you can burn a log, then you can burn a log. A useless skill is carpentry from rsc, which had no use at all. THAT skill was useless :P
  12. Not to mention all those nats from monster drops/randoms/etc...
  13. Ooooh good luck with all 70+ :D I'll eventually achieve tht goal...
  14. This, definitely.
  15. Ooooh, I'd pick magic tree seeds for farming! So it won't cost me that much to my favourite 99 :
  16. Lol'ed. If you think the runescape one's are bad, wait till you see the mechscape one... Q: Will Mechscape be released in 2009? A: Yes, we (the mechscape team) had a lovely time going sky-diving, and next week we are going to paintball! Thanks for asking!
  17. pfft, I can't be bothered to read the whole entire thing. I read the first post and first 2 pages, then post if nothing new happens. Of course, a topic can change 3-5 different times in the spaces of less than 10 pages...
  18. CORRECTION IS IMPOSSIBLE...because every minute someone will be alching...so it's impossible. Ahhh! Everyone is taking this to litterally! This was supposed to be a fun thread where people through out absurd assumptions as to how many items there are, not a leading into phylosophy! Sure it is hard to guess the number of runes or feathers. But other items like GWD armours shouldn't be that hard. It astounds me that a clan could make something as abundant as iron ore doulble in price. Maybe there aren't as many items in the game as we beleive. A clan made iron ore go up in price? :o There are too many items to analyse, you could break them up into categories, for example: -Numerous Items with infinite stock -Numerous Items (for example feathers, logs, runes, etc.) -Various, Middle-end Items (stuff that can be produced in large amounts) -Various, Higher-End Items (stuff that is produced in small amounts, or gathered in low amounts like herbs in farming) -Rare Items (things from boss drops, hard-to-get items and the like) -Extremely Rare Items (these cannot be obtained by any conventional means, and can only be bought. Things like easter eggs, crackers, and phats) Then you could assign each category a guessed amount, of course this is all speculation. ~Numerous Items with Infinite Stock~ Because the general store sells them in infinite amounts, they aren't traded on the ge in bulk (except tinderboxes :|). So we can't really give a solid estimation using the ge. We can just assume that their is about 1b+ of these items... ~Numerous Items~ These number in the millions, possibly billions. This is based on sales in ge. Things like cowhides, feathers, and runes are gathered/crafted every day, and as we can see the base elemental runes are the most popular. Free Players craft these for experience, so their is about 10m+ people making them, and many more millions been sold. That isn't counting the number people have stocked up. ~Various, Middle-End Items~ These are made in large amounts, possibly in the millions every day. Stuff like bows for fletching, junk items made from fletching, and more fletching :P. These are traded often, but don't have a large, stable price. So, this suggests that they aren't made as often as we think. Of course, we are just guessing here ;) ~Various, Higher-End Items~ These items include armour from smithing or rarer monster drops. Also includes herbs from monster drops and farming, like rannar's and snapdragons. These are traded lower than other items, because they are often used as magic training (high-alching addy platebodies) or herblore training (turning the herbs into potions with secondary ingredients). This also includes secondary potion ingredients (not all, just some). They're traded in the hundreds of thousands. ~Rare Items~ This is quite interesting. A lot of speculation will be involved here. Because people use coinshare in the gwd and other boss monsters, a lot of possible items are converted to coins. But, a fair few are also stocked and sold on the grand exchange, and people wear/smith the items dropped. So, we can say anywhere from thousands to hundreds of thousands. ~Extremely Rare Items~ These items cannot be obtained from any other souce than other players. There can be anywhere froun thousands to less than a hundred of these items. Such items include partyhats, christmas crackers and pumpkins/easter eggs/h'ween masks/santa hats. If you can buy just one of the item and alter the price, than you can guarantee there are less than a hundred of them left. I've left out some items, but you can put a majority of items into these categories. Just my 10 cents :)
  19. sounds good, would definitely get me doing quests again :P
  20. The head is used to create the draconic helm only for now, I might change that though to accomodate the concept art you're doing :) I've decided to make it a rare drop, I'll change drop ratio's soon. It's like any other head, but makig it a 100% drop basically defeats the purpose of it been a rare drop. So I'll change it now :) I'm also working on some mage armour stats, liking the ideas you gave me Hawk. I'll probably do something like that for the stats :)
  21. Hmmm, I'll look around for people and try get them ;) Although I identify people here by their forum usernames and avatars, not their runescape usernames...I'm a bit protective of who I talk to/add in-game. Eh, I'll have a go.
  22. ALL you guys on tif \ Spread the love people...we shouldn't have favourites
  23. Lying isn't that good. I'd tell the truth, just say that you don't want them on. If they can't accept that, then put them on ignore :)
  24. Wow, life really does suck :? and I always ask myself why I play runescape...well now I have my answer :D sorry to hear about dealing with sober customers, who are [bleep]s. Then having to deal with drunk customers, who will probably use the burrito's for some horrible, mind-wrenching purpose... Good luck dude :ohnoes:
  25. Bring back smithing... make pies and pizzas and other wierd food stuffs smeltable, and start from scratch with a new pizza  chocolate pineapple 2/3 slice pizza-cake anyone?
