Also now they've postponed it for 2 days The red smoke/evil power, and the updated messages on the seers has a very very high probability of being a P2P quest. The reason for that is the seers the updated is members content. If the power was related to the skill, it wouldn't of effected just seers NPC's because they are members only content. They would of been on NPC's both F2P and P2P can see. So assuming the power was not related to the skill, we have no other evidence pointing that this next update is related to the skill at all. I just wouldn't count on the skill for another 3-4 months at least, or your just going to get disappointed every time its not the skill. FT:III or Slug Quest is more likely for this week. As I've already said: Watch me fail -_-

The fact that they aren't willing to hint much at all about this update just makes me more and more convinced that the new skill is coming. It's the one update they haven't been willing to hint at at all =) Except for possibly the red smoke and twitter hint just prior to release.

Theres actually quite a few things that points towards the new skill... The strange power affected both members and f2p, and the new skill will be f2p. Wouldnt make sense for it to be a p2p only quest. Jagex mods make it sound big :P thats rather weak, but "All will be revealed soon"? really? :o MMG once told us the new skill would be out by the end of 2009, with quite alot of confidence... so it must be ready or very close to ready now. The hints sound nothing like Elemental 3, which is the only left from the postbag according to someone (wasnt a new postbag just released though?). Anyways, assuming this guy is correct, the only thing they refuse to hint for AT ALL (that we know of) is the new skill, which could meen its due before Elemental. So its a possibility. But who am I kidding?-_- The update will roll around and it will be a sea slug quest or something, watch me fail :P

Seems to me that people have gone from "meh" to "well this is quite nice" =) Looking forward to trying the game myself.

Certainly sounds like I expected it to be, I won't be able to check it out until after the Beta period anyways, so maybe they'll fix up a few errors by then =) RuneScape forever though <3

Yeah, I agree, to be honest it seems to be Jagex getting revenge on Kingory (Another chinese themed Evony-like (Which is Civilization anyway)) Since they use "Most popular free-online game" When RS has one of the titles for it. (Also, Kingory uses stolen Chun-li art for the registraion screen, Reeaaalll quality here folks.) Evony stole the homepage of Runescape too. Would be interesting to see how Evony could get away with that kind of copying if Jagex have a similar game. Wow...that is so sad...

Like kalafai said, curses arent out of discussion for slaying and such. I am also going for 80 prayer so I can get leech defence. The drain rate isnt bad at all.

Of interest is the fact that the twitter message reads: "The first War of Legends trailer has been released". Could there be more in depth ones coming?

RuneScape is the most popular FREE game in the world, as shown in the Guiness book. They call it free, why cant jagex? The majority of the players are free players, there are alot of stuff to do even in f2p.

I'm doing Vampire Slayer right now to confirm or deny this ;) It is not part of Ernest the Chicken or any of the other known newly updates quests btw (the one who has the quest overview feature). EDIT: I clearly remember MMG stating they were working on a rework of Vampire Slayer a while back, in his chat possibly. Morgan does seem to have a new look, but I can't be sure. EDIT2: After finishing the quest up to the part where you fight the vampire the closed cell did not play a part. I can't finish it completely by killing the vampire seeing as I'm using a lvl 3 though =(

The only thing I can see is to maybe have 1 of each of the skillcapes instead of 2? Kind of ugly with the number above them.
