Powering Through Levels Vs Longevity
There is the enjoyment of the method (e.g. people like running laps on agility courses) and the enjoyment of the achievement (e.g. people like being 99 agility) and the enjoyment of the status those bring. e.g. people like being known as someone to use method x (depending on the community they are in, it could be about appearing efficient or appearing DIY or something) and people like being known as 'the person with 99 agility/200m slayer' and whatnot. So basically, the reasons for powering through a skill you do not enjoy training leaves the other three reasons: fun to achieve the goal, fun to be seen with the achieved goal, and fun to be seen training towards the goal. If you feel none of these enjoyments then you will not power through a skill (ignoring the possibility that you are physically forced). It's interesting to note that powering through a skill all the way to 99 is notoiriously inefficient :P. The topic title captures it well, but then the OP asks a different question (levels vs. 99s).

PPS vs SoL
PPS is best unless you use multi-target spells on multiple targets. If you need freeze and dps, use pps + ice barrage, since pps doesn't require a spellbook. @Above: charged arena spells require void mace/god staves so sol is out anyway.

Powerfrog's goal to recieve one of EVERY boss specific drop in runescape.
Very nice goal, good luck :). You're going to have a hell of a time getting a dchain drop ^^.

Frost Dragons
Maxed offence and tortoise, with a lot of food and ee specials if you need them. The trouble is that no defence measure will affect the recoil anyway. Each dragon melees but I expect you to be out of melee range (you should range the dragons, handcannon > ccbow and use void). Each dragon also ranges OR mages, so adjust protect prayers accordingly.

Void Mage Vs Proper Mage?
Depends on what gear he has, if he can sell his shield/legs/helm to be able to afford better armour for his other slots then void mage has a lot lower cutoff. I don't think there currently is any such situation. You can get a 10m setup with arcane stream necklace + god cape + infinity boots + barrows gloves + pps + mage's book + Ahrim's top and skirt + farseer helm + seer's ring (no imbued, no Dominion gloves) which gives you 138 magic attack. That's 202 base. The best void setup requires some 190m gear (ragefire, Virtus top, arcstream/god cape/pps/seer's (i) + void) which gives you 94 magic attack, 205,4 base. But that requires imbued rings of course, as well as void, which is probably 30+ hours spend playing those minigames.

Mining
He already talked about losing xp from moving between rocks. With a gold mining cc however you can be sure to go to the right rock first, and it's not uncommon to mine for 10+ minutes straight at a single rock. I'd estimate under 10 rock changes per hour.

void & salve
Wyverns are animated, which is different from undead, closer to golems or rune guardians.

Glacors
26 shards 2 boot drops. Last time we had a topic on this there was 1/400-500? for boots or thereabouts.

25-Nov-2011 Quick Poll: RuneFest 2012 Location
This is very true never thought of that! As far as I am aware Britain is one of the most lenient with the drinking age; most other countries (particularly english speaking ones) are 21 opposed to 18. Another plus for the Netherlands, age 16 for wine and beer (and rum-coke, but not for rum alone, so you must buy it mixed iirc). But on a more serious note, the Netherlands would be a good place. Decent train connections with Paris and Berlin etc., most of Europe.

Powering Through Levels Vs Longevity
That is always a true answer, and therefore never a useful answer. I'm wondering what your point is in giving it? :P Perhaps to establish that this topic is, in fact, asking for a useless answer?

Powering Through Levels Vs Longevity
I don't see why you use the word 'imaginative'. "Do you power to 99? If so why?" No. "Do you vary your game play? If so how?" Yes. I train only what I feel like and that changes a lot. I'm wondering what your point is? If you want to know about why people are involved in RPG, it's because they enjoy it probably. As a general assumption that's your answer to any question as to why people play in a certain way.

06-Dec-2011 Loyalty Programme - Batch 3
None of the auras seem worth breaching my stock of 32k points for... at the end of the month that will be 48k pts. At the current rate (assuming you kept all your points save the first 500) you could get Aegis by the end of March, end of April if points/month caps at 12k.

Mining
What's the better xp then? Granite is about 90-95k, on par with gold, but no reason to do granite when congold is that much easier?

Void Mage Vs Proper Mage?
If you compare void mage to max mage accuracy and assume that magic works with attack rolls just like ranged and melee, you get: [(Magic attack in void + 64) * 1.3] versus [magic attack in robes + 64]. Since you lose 9+20+26+15 magic attack bonus using void over max gear (Virtus mask and legs, arcane spirit shield, spellcaster gloves) the 30% bonus you get must equal at least 70, requiring a magic attack bonus in void of 170 for void to be better.

Woodcutting
No it's not, but there are roughly two ways of dropping: one is to wait until your inventory is full and then dropping the lot, the other depends on dropping between chopping logs. Needless to say the latter is faster.

Woodcutting
You can literally split arctic pine logs into half logs, which gives you woodcutting xp and a pair of half logs (is one item). The half logs are used to make special anti-troll shields, but for the purpose of woodcutting you just drop them. To split logs, use them on a stump, there's at least one good training spot with a stump next to the trees.

Slaying for effigies
It depends a bit on how much you value slayer xp, how much you value your bank total etc. I would tend to say that jadinko's and vyres are not worth it on account of being slow slayer xp, but if you feel cannoning is too expensive in general they become good xp, and jadinko's are on par with metals effigy-wise (but no ferocious ring of course). With vyres not giving any effigies or charms they are definitely a bad task, and they are slow for points - probably 20 minutes per task or so. I'm not sure on polypore monsters but they appear to be multiple assignments of which only the ganodermics are worth it (?) so it'd be best to block them if they are fairly common.

DKs Solo Rex with Polypore staff
The trouble (not a big trouble but still) of maging is that there are so few good level boosts. If you melee, you can keep your level boosted by at least 80% of your highest boost using just extremes (21/26 boost at 99) potting every 5 minutes. For magic, 5 minutes takes the boost of extremes down to 2/7th of the original boost, and completely nullifies magic potions. Which means that magic is much harder on your inventory or much lower damage until wolpertinger/overloads.

Mining
Shooting stars/citadels/granite, no :P. But the best xp can be found in the Caverns, yes, concentrated gold. If you need xp in many skills, hunting effigies might be better.
-
Woodcutting
The fastest is arctic pines, splitting logs, with urns, dragon hatchet, beaver. Should be 140k/hr at high levels. Urns do not worth with ivy.

Not if you're maging but you could use both ;). Going to try for royale cannon in the next few days, RS wouldn't load for me yesterday so no progress there :(. Actually nevermind, smithing for ~2 hours:

If you are on task, fsh. Otherwise Neit. Verac's top and skirt, sw cape (Ardougne does work, sw is just better), mage-boosting boots (infinity is good), barrows gloves, arcstream, pps on ancients with blood barrage OR lunars with Waterbirth tele. Any shield, blessed spirit shield has a nice prayer bonus as well. It also doesn't degrade. Ring wise I'd go with wealth. For healing you should go with a bunyip and you can bring blood spells since pps doesn't require a spellbook, but ideally you wouldn't use it too much. You can also use ice barrage to freeze Rex. Bring Vecna's skull to boost your magic level. It'd also be worthwhile to get some other magic boost, like the dominion standard thingy, since ice barrage is much better than blitz. Magic potions wear off a bit quickly.
