  1. I don't know about actually attacking, but the equipment interface gives you full strength for using a t80+ spell even with lower tier weapons... t70 wand + t80 spell is higher damage than t70 sword.
  2. Constitution counters Strength. But yes, it's lame that armour has no damage reduction. I reference this: Anyway Vorago better not have a cheating attack like the KK. I'm fine with an occasional hit of 10k, provided it's affected by protect prayers, Reflect, Barricade and spirit shields as normal.
  3. It's not supposed to affect multi-stat curses and prayers at all, just the single-stat ones. So it's not only an oversight, but also a second oversight/glitch.
  4. You can run through the fire walls instead of trying to avoid them and failing. Done right, you only take one hit per wall, which is better than failing them :P.
  5. For Kiln you probably want drygores, but I'm not sure the meleers/mages are good to melee since they are supposed to have damage reduction and everything, so tribrid could be the only viable option. Still, it's a safe area, just try high power melee (Bandos) and adjust as required :).
  6. Basically: 1) Melee has better abilities than the other attack styles, generally. The exception is dual wield magic which has a better basic. 2) Barrage with Momentum kicks ass. 3) The level a weapon requires largely determines how much damage you do. Get high-tier weapons: chaotics or better, ideally. 4) God Wars armour of all three styles (Bandos, Armadyl, Subjugation) is really good for slayer and such. Nex armour is good for anything. Player-owned ports armour is good for hard bosses.
  7. 3200 chomps. Finished 4th on both my daily ff games (46 pts), +8 medals. Yay :).
  8. Only if you want to be lazy on dagannoth tasks and other bone-droppers :P. Zealots is glitched/changed and currently the best necklace.
  9. MTK hasn't changed at all except for the profitability of various resources. Maples are down because nests crashed because brews are useless. I think a combination of coal and raw fish is the best now (based on wiki calc http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculator:Other/Miscellania). Edit: Grimy's spreadsheet recommends 10 mining & 5 herbs.

  12. I believe plenty of skills were 'useless' even before skillcapes, so I wouldn't blame the capes. It's just a convenient 'marker' for useless skilling, but some skills were never useful (certainly not all the way to 99). Firemaking for example, or herblore pre-overloads. @Above: I think that's a major problem with skills. Most skilling rewards, rune items and resources are drops or store-buyable.

  14. Charming imp, chaotic staff, chaotic claw & off-hand claw, arcane stream necklace, bonecruncher, maybe herbicide.
  15. Dagannoths at Waterbirth, using barrage and cannon, charm imp naturally, vwand + book ideally. Or glacors, vwand + book also. Glacors are more sensitive to skill and having vwand - dags are plenty good with treachery.
  16. Well, put it this way: Protect from Magic + Antifire potion means you get +50% damage from having an off-hand weapon - more if you consider that you can use a tier 75 weapon. Protect from Ranged means you take 50% less damage from ranged attacks - it doesn't affect the fire damage, grotworms, souls or melee attacks. So overall, it may not save any damage, but it'll at least speed up your kills. Your abilities look fine, there's not a lot of options for one-handed attacks (you can use Ricochet, maybe better than Fragmentation because QBD doesn't move), but the defensive ones will work. I think Reflect might not work on the QBD, some bosses are immune to recoil damage. Instead of Rejuvinate, you can use Barricade or Immortality, which should save more damage if used at the right moment (I'm not sure but I think Barricade should work on fire walls and souls?).
  17. The last tiny test I did, void was about equal to GWD sets. Plus you can use GWD boots with void. See: http://forum.tip.it/topic/319749-void/#entry5418986. For glacors, vwand + void is definitely better than subjugation with another weapon. For Bandos, void doesn't have enough defence afaik.
  18. For q1, no, you can't. For DT, do Climber until you finish the requirements there, then switch over to Endurance if you prefer - be sure to bring combat gear for all things, that means all elemental spells, ranged and melee, an antifire potion, food, overloads and a spare space or two.
  19. Just to be sure: you were using Eagle Eye, right? You can try using protect from magic with a regular antifire potion and an off-hand crossbow for extra damage, or protect from magic with a polypore staff (probably your best bet). If you are using a shield, make sure it's a dragonfire shield, not an antifire shield. Use Resonance whenever possible and don't forget Revenge when there are a lot of worms.
  20. It depends on the strength of all these styles. Most bosses have one style they use more often, that hits higher or is otherwise more important to defend against. All-round defence isn't all that useful except in theory, usually you only need two styles. In theory, if the boss had equal power in all styles, then you can/should use the cape, helm, gloves, boots and ring slot to spread your defence.
  21. I'm afraid crafting double nats is nearly useless, bloods are better but also useless. The top profitable skilling methods are all farming, the top overall methods are all bossing.
  22. If you're going to b p2p I would recommend getting more skills for player-owned-ports, quest cape and elite diaries.
  23. Got rank 2 esteem, 2900 chomps, standard tacklebox. Edit: 3000 chomps. Editedit: 3100 chomps.
  24. The KK mechanic that prevent soloing is basically cheating. It: - Ignores protect prayers, - Removes defensive effects already in place, - Stuns, - And resets the cooldown for anti-stuns. The ice prison is much better, it doesn't have all the anti-ability crap. If you remove all the counters, the KK's green attack is a really easy ability - you only need Freedom and Resonance. I think it'd be better if the KK used a Berserk > Destroy combo, or Berserk + Flurry if there are at least three people. That way, a soloer has to survive the much higher damage of Assault, but there's no real requirement to bring a team.
